Star Wars An Officer and a Traitor (NO SV, you are an Imperial Officer and Traitor)

So basically we "United" Mandalore again. for good or ill, Saxon is about to see his throne on Mandalore broken, we've acquired decent supply both "legally" and "Legally" and we stopped Gideon from finding out what we're doing too soon, Saxon may still find out, but he is busier than hell.
Yeah, there isgoing to be fun.
Sadly as much as I love the Mandos they do need repeated strikes outside the head to stay viable as a faction, the problem is mainly finding someone reliable to do said striking.
Yeah, they do need something.
And once again, finding himself wayyyyy outgunned.
Again.

Hopefully without Bo Katan being an idiot.
6 Sector fleets might be a bit far, if Mandalorians brought their Beskar wielding asses back to Mandalore itself? I'd agree, but even 35 ISD's can barely handle a full Sector Fleet numbering in the 100+ hull range
THey won't be able... to defeat you.
So we are going to cause the entire Mandalorian sector to be our own private rebel army. Guess we can watch the galaxy burn together.
Not yet.

They still need a Mandalore.

And we still need to kick peoples teeth in.
If Canderous could see them now, the life work he was ordered to preserve…

He would be disappointed on so many levels.
Yep.

Hopefully without Bo Katan being an idiot.
Bo being an idiot is like water being wet…she lost both civil wars she started in Canon, I don't like her chances of not starting one now.
Canderous: Having seen all my work now before me, And having seen you waste the second chance I labored my life away to give…

I have only one thing to say.

If you are what Mandalorians have become, petty warlords, cowardly fools and traitors whoring themselves to the sith.

You are not Mandalorian…you are children wearing the armor and do not understand it's history, legacy and what I wanted it to be.

What all Mandalorians should have been.

We might have to spend another turn reevaluating some of our choices this turn given how low most of the rolls were. Just to make absolutely sure there won't be a problem with them in the long run. At least we should have some Mandos as allies.

But why let some bad dice rolls get in the way of a good Mandalorian crusade?

If Canderous could see them now, the life work he was ordered to preserve…

He would be disappointed on so many levels.
When Canderous took over, the Mandalorians were on the way out. Most remaining Mandalorians were Neo-Crusader thugs recruited during teh war and given an armor for participation. They were expecting a long slow extinction that would take millenia. 300 years after his death, the Mandalorians were the favourite pawns of the Sith, again.

Now? The Mandalorians are under the boot of the Empire but only a fraction truly serves it. The Mandalorians are spread over several planets and have a diaspora across the galaxy. A far cry from the rebuilding army that was hiding on Dxun. The Mandalorians survived every blow and we know that even the best attempt by the sole galactic hyperpower to exterminate them will fail.

Also, it has been 4000 years, I think Canderous will be impressed that they survived that long despite all their terrible choices.

"We are not proud of what we have had to become. To survive. But we are proud of surviving, and proud of knowing one day we may yet become proud of who we become."

Bo being an idiot is like water being wet…she lost both civil wars she started in Canon, I don't like her chances of not starting one now.
well…
She did help win the clone wars era civil war, when she started the death watch civil war…

And then the Empire rendered the whole war moot.

While the process was made faster by Bo Katan inviting republic clone soldiers to help by keeping the peace, it was inevitable the empire was gonna barge in at some point.

Hold on. Are you telling me that we had enough TIEs to be actually over our carrier capacity with new fighters? Cause if not, dumping TIEs is a bad idea. Bad fighters are better then no fighters at all.
You don't have enough fighters to even fully supply your own ships.

The squadrons you have are all you got

Do we have pilots? If yes, we should keep the TIEs. Once we are out of crews or space they are the first ones out, but until then they stay.
I suspect we might also not have that many pilots. Cause while most of the Empire high command doesn't really care that much for them, Tarkin is probably aware of just how valuable those graduates are.

Any chance we could arrange a flight school for any Ordinary Cadets, third-line-cooks, second-string nurses, etc. that were interested in flying a fighter? 27k enlisted personnel each suggests you could probably find willing and able potential pilots, if we could get decent simulation systems put together (cannibalize the inertial compensators off a TIE we can't use any more, etc.)

The Empire's said to use them, so whipping one up would mostly be some hardware work and some software work and then programming and educating.

If trained pilots is our problem, that would probably at least let us patch a solution in.

"This is clearly anti-empire propaganda. And this 'black project' is a mining station"-Compnor Official.

A/N: A few stories that might have been around, but didn't pass screening. With comments as to why.
And an appearance of both the ISB doing their thing as the inquisition is supposed to be secret. Plus a possible free-floating article comparing facts of the Pius Dea to the empire, highlighting factors like the rise, and others that would be very damaging to the empire. And of course, the handling may only make the eventual surfacing worse.

It is actually helpful to keep in mind that technically, the original mandos are actually dead. The Tuang are as a species nearly entirely extinct with only a few enclaves left in the unknown regions due to making the mistake if being Sith Patsies.

By this point, the Mandos have become more of an idea, than a place, a people, or any of that.

I mean, it is unlikely any of the Mando's scattered throughout the galaxy would be pleased with the events going on in the Holy land.

due to making the mistake if being Sith Patsies.
The Fact the Mandos keep making that mistake time and time again shows that once again...

They are self destructive idiots.

At least the Mando's who accept Jedi Philosophy into their mindset (Hi Sabine) tend to be both wiser and better at dealing with their issues in a healthy manner or at least... not being Patsies to the Sith.

I swear its like the Mando's want to get themselves all killed.

And they got to the point that the Mandalore sector doing anything even somewhat expansionistic leads to smashing the big red button in panic. Bad enough even with New Mandos in control, the fear is still there.

The mandos do one thing well, and everything else not. Likely the only reason the mandos havn't died out yet is the fact that the sector is but one small part of the wider Mando population.

Wonder if we are gonna have those techno Samurai pop up anytime soon.
