Well, looks like things may go better overall.
Unlike Legends, things have shaken up far more early, with Tarkin having destroyed the legitimacy to save his own skin. While unlike Canon, there is a strong reform block that will demand change, and possibly fend off the worst excesses of both canon political factions, and the very idea of the empire is harshly discredited due to things lasting only a few scant years before everything started splitting apart. As well as a possible better path long-term through all of those papers touching on the topic of the force floating around, than endless light and dark power struggles for eternity, possibly.

Mostly insane.
some of these mad bastards have decided to run with it and it has turned into Genius.
They still decided to make Jar Jar chancellor. The only reason it might work out is simply the fact that it is utterly insane.

I'd argue electing Jar Jar is the sanest thing to come out of a senate vote in the last 1000 years. Certainly saner than Valorem.
