Star Wars An Officer and a Traitor (NO SV, you are an Imperial Officer and Traitor)

Taylor from the Captain Taylor anime is involved? That is going to be hilarious!

Wulf is involved so we got a big in with Imperial Intelligence, we are getting a board that can do a lot of damage.

I couldn't resist. needed some more comedy for this quest, and he provides.

You won't be able to do much for ahwile.

But you will be able to do something in a turn or two while he gets things ready.

But beware: Papa Palps is now getting involved in finding rebels in his milltary.

And it will be bad if he starts sniffing our way.

Honestly if we even get a hint that Vader's coming for us, we'd just have to drop everything and flee to the rebellion.

Guess it's time to start stocking up on ships and supplies folks, I gather that the rebel actions will also help in this endeavor?

Being Skywalkers Admiral
"Skywalker's"

The fact he was here led credence as to why…
"lent"?

thought the argument could be made
"though"

He was Venator captain
"He was a Venator captain"

when they weren't slaking off.
"slacking"

"rim"

force us to make drastic actions
"take"

Due to Palpatine's power growing, Omake bonuses will now only be going up from +5 for as long as you remain under Imperial command.

We've soft-launched our rebellion. It's time to start every manner of thievery we can before the gravy train runs out and we have to flip hats.

New Actions Available.

With Wulf Yularin as part of this rebellion, imperial detection will now be rolled by Vader and Palpatine, instead of ISB.
Well. I didn't expect to get someone from the ISB this early...
On the other hand, getting WULF YULARIN is a big boon...

I guess it is hard to hide the existance of dissent, when the tensions forming in the officer corps starts taking a deciding factional bent. Cause I doubt the tarkinists are that unified in support of palps, thanks in part due to the internal split, between those loyal to palps, and the actual individuals in the group due to seeing potential in the doctrine...

And finally, there was… Brejer Tylor, Sorry, Captain Brejer Tylor. The Irresponsible Captain Tylor… You wanted to hate the man, but dammit he was so charming. He was Venator captain that kept his ship and had a crew so loyal that it was… quite insane. They managed to be free spirits going from deployment to deployment, and… well again, his crew was loyal and almost insanely skilled, when they weren't slaking off.
And well, Tylor has always been rather unique. Carefree, deeply understanding of people, charming in his own way, and an unholy cocktail of competence and sheer luck that leaves everyone mystified where either factor begins and ends.
There were more, but the one you wished to see was still on deployment. And she was busy.
Considering the expies shown, I suspect this may be referring to Talia Degurechaffe. Considering the appearance of the other OC expies I may have omaked up. Which, may be an interesting character to meet during one of her rare downtime moments...

I imagine Yularen can get busy laying down a number of false trails and do the usual overzealous secret police thing against seemingly-loyal Imperials with all the usual 'dirty cop' tricks. Planting evidence, getting suspects to commit crimes for a favor and then getting in deeper and deeper.

It looks like he's doing his job, but he's conveniently not paying a lot of attention to us and when he does he's careful to send his least effective units at us.

So...

Any questions?
Considering the major characteristics of post-Republic Yularen are a personal loyalty to Palpatine and a profound belief in the New Order, I'm very puzzled by his apparent heel-face turn here.

That said, he's very well connected and he's spent a lot of time in the Navy and Intelligence. It's possible that we might make contact with certain deniable assets worth writing omakes about.

What are the modifiers on Vader and Sidious's Detection Rolls?
It's not the detection roll that you should be worried about.

It's the disaster roll.

Cause Vader is about to be let off the leash.

To put a long dice roll short:

Constantines utter thrashing of the Tarkin Doctrine and the blow-up aftermath lead to a few... issues that made Yularen dig.

Also, we were under him for awhile, and the old warhorse has some respect for us.
-------------------------------
And... Well...

Remember how I said there would be an officer split that you all chose?

He was a fence sitter that wanted nothing to do with it.

Until he was convinced by our allies within the Navy, and ISB.

Yes we have those.

Correct.

Meeting Ciaphas.
AN: Every Ciaphas needs a Jurgen. If she is a blank to the Force is up to the Author. Inspired by this little number. number. I admit this is pretty much a copy of the sketch but it is just too good to not use. After getting to the end I want her to be adopted by Constantine.

Meeting Ciaphas.

Ciaphas Hurbett had expected many things from the aftermath of the battle against the damned Zygerians. A summary court-martial for failing to maintain her force, followed swiftly by a firing squad. What she didn't expect was to cause a rock slide that would crush some unseen flanking force! Nor did she expect her troops to pick her up and start chanting that she is a Hero of the Empire. Now alone in her room, her aid Freya Jurgen keeping any of the Emperor botherers away.

She lets the stress of the battle appear. "I should be dead." She sobs at the garish painting her troops made for her. "That was so close... That was too close!" She yells starting to pace the room.

"I thought that was it! The end of Hurbett's long history of bullshitting her way to the top! Ahh, for Force's sake how am I still alive?! Withdraw?? You mean hightail like a damn coward as fast as a Fighter Tank could take me! Cause that's what I did! Like a piece of shit!" Her arms lash out sending data slates tumbling to the floor.

"Right to the damned dead end!" At this, she falls to her knees in front of the painting too emotionally exhausted to stand. "I didn't even see the weak spot in the cliff. I was just trying to shoot the damned Cats! My troops think I did it intentionally!" Sobs start to be replaced by sad laughter entering her voice. "They always do... You fools! You beautiful fools! You have no idea the sheer bed of lies I have made."

She points an accusing finger at her portrait. "You piece of shit! The house of cards you have built will tumble to the ground. Crushing not only you but all these poor souls... innocent souls! Who you led into this web of deceit! Oh Force I'm such a piece of shit!

"What have I become? You have to end this Hurbett. This has to end! We've been running on exhaust for Force knows how long! You have to go out there and tell them! Face the music Hurbett! Let the Lie die before we do... Just admit to them you're a fraud! A Coward! A piece of Shit!" Hurbett rises to her feet self-loathing giving her strength. "Tell them the Truth!"

Hearing the door start to slide open is all Ciaphas needs to put her hero persona back on. "Lieutenant Hurbett. It turns out the Zygerrian leader was in the group the rock slide fell into. Now all of the Zygerrian forces are in full retreat. Moff Constantine is here to award you a promotion for your bravery." Jurgen says her earthy aroma as pungent as ever.

"I was only doing my duty Jurgen. I am honored by this promotion. Please send him in."

"He was waiting for you, Ma'am." She says leaving the room. At this Hurbett feels a hand come down upon her shoulder.

Turning around Ciaphas sees the blank expression on Moff Constantine's face. A series of choked words try to make their way out of her mouth. Only to stop as the Moff takes her into a hug. "It is alright," he says. For the first time in years, Ciaphas just lets all the emotions go and returns the hug. Letting her walls down around someone other than Jurgen or Agent Amberton.

Chop Comm
Chop Comm

"My name is Myro Walden," the middle-aged man said, sitting in a Corellian bar Moff Constantine had been advised to visit after the Officers' Rebellion.

"I used to work in ISB until I was declared 'no longer reliable' by Colonel Yularen. Issued a chop comm on me. When you get chopped like that, you've got nothing. No work history, no references, credit accounts frozen. No more Imperial transportation either. You get left wherever they decide to dump you," he said, bringing a hand through his short dark hair, "although far as places to be left Corellia isn't bad. You rely on anyone still talking to you. I've got a few friends and I'm hoping to make a few more," he continued. "Bottom line is...I've been chopped, so according to the ISB...I no longer exist as anyone worth worrying about."

He smiled, an easy-seeming grin that didn't quite reach his eyes. "There's a lot of things I'm capable of. I've already got an apartment above a club in Corel City near a yogurt shop and my Corellian Private Investigator's license just came through, so civilian life seems to suit me well."

"That said...Yularen wouldn't have released me here unless he knew you had work for me. Either that or this is some kind of twisted joke he's making at my expense, but he knows what I can do with mesh tape and the contents of a hardware store, as well as what I did back on Christophsis and Seleucami."

A/N: I'd intended for someone else to show up, but far as a character ready-made to be a deniable Rebel agent, a certain yogurt-loving intelligence agent cut loose from their agency fits like a glove.

Corellian Security Force? I mean, Coruscant could be neat to have someone under Palpy's nose, but Corellian is someone we'd interact with more most likely.

That said, he might make quick friends with Myro Walden, who says that blasters make you stupid and you should fight your wars with mesh tape.
