Something Wicked (Villainous Magical Boy Quest)

Anyone who wears the ring—or even touches it—will gain the ability to hear even the quietest of sounds. The original range you had in mind was about 300 feet. You… may have overshot that slightly. Now the ring blasts whoever touches it with every noise in a solid three miles.
I'm 90% sure this would just straight up kill anybody autistic on touch. Also good gift(???) for Kyoko?

Honestly, I don't see this ring and think gift. I see it and think weapon. Telekinetically touch it to an enemy, they get sensory overload and end up wide open for a followup attack.

For what it's worth, the effect is massively amplified on Zaiyu and other Estil due to their enhanced hearing. A regular, non-autistic human could probably use the ring for about five minutes or so before they got a headache and had to stop.

That said, if Suzune (very autistic) touched it, she would indeed go down immediately.

Yes I think we can make good use of this. It's not like we don't have any enemies after all.

...Or maybe we could give it to our spy monster.

Who's Suzune again?

You were holding it when it activated. You spent an agonizing moment hearing every noise in the moon base, from Sasori's deep, even breaths in his comfy bed to Rins testing plasma rifles in the firing range to Mitl cooing creepily to himself in the greenhouse to at least two distinct lifeforms(?), also in the greenhouse, cooing back. Then you dropped the ring and reeled back, clutching your pointy ears. It takes several minutes for the headache to pass.
Oh, wow, accidental torture device. You could throw that at someone's head and use it as a weapon to-
Maybe a human would be able to use it properly? And you're visiting Kyoko later.
ZAIYU NO!!!

It's almost like our luck is the exact opposite of [Mitl's].
Checks out. He screws up plant delivery, we stop crystalvine petrification better than anyone in recorded history. We screw up charms, he...does something...good, probably?

The bat who navigates primarily by hearing?
Yeah, its ears probably aren't too sensitive.

I usually try not to discourage you guys from coming up with ideas but. Please do not give the bat with hearing even better than yours the Ring of Audio Overstimulation.

If we're gonna prank Shayin with it, we should wait until we get to Earth. Most of the three-mile radius around our moon base doesn't have any noises at all. If we give him the ring on Earth, there should be enough noises around that Zaiyu can escape before Shayin recovers.
