Something Wicked (Villainous Magical Boy Quest)

Yeah... though I want to joke that Zaiyu would somehow get destracted in the middle of the fight... potentally by one of the magical girls own banter or him going sqeeee if one of them does something genuinely cool to him.

... and than his relative power level is revealed.
Decent chance that Zaiyu will end up spectating the fight in one of his civilian guises, unable to slip away without incurring unwanted suspicion (or concern).

But if not, there's also a decent chance that Zaiyu will make up a whole new persona for these villain escapades. And that could be lots of fun.

We are talking about Zaiyu Not keeping up once the magical girls get to the season Two power levels, but did you all forget like he's gonna be a Kamen Rider And when have you heard of a Kamenr Rider falling of As a series power progress* (Somewhere Scissors,Brave,Bravo,Valvarad, And so many others are weeping)

Yes they are. Especially Mitl, though Shayin is personally irritated by Rins in entirely different, non-plant related ways. Zaiyu is the favourite comrade right now. Which is saying something, given he's basically a cat who shows up, drops a new conspiracy in Shayin's lap, and then swans off.
He's just doing his job. He's just doing his job... Oh God. He's going to do his job again today. I'm so not ready for this.

Zaiyu Should have a persona like Victor Von Doom. The comics version.

Imagine it being a CK2 or other management quest and Zayin as your intrigue advisor the only person other than you actually doing anything other than maintenance but every time he does an action more actions show up because he's basically working through an immense backlog of secrets.

And thats probably how the captain feels.

You have a competent subordinate who is doing his job but he's got so much to go through your actually starting to dread whenever he comes back and reports in.

It's worse than that. You have this entire report on the place your showing up to which is supposed to be mostly accurate, but the second your personal scout goes fact checking, everything you know, even things that predate the mission by countless millennia, are demonstrated to be incorrect. Just when you finish consigning yourself to this fact, he discovers something with the potential to fundamentally alter the inherent nature of your mission. Something so important, it becomes an immediate priority over your own tasks, mission security, and the need to keep an eye on your less reliable and trustworthy subordinates.

Oh yeah.

Zaiyu and the captain are hard carrying right now given the latter is the poor sucker who actually needs to talk with the madhouse back home.

I think I will be disappointed if Zaiyu ends the quest with only one villain persona.

If Shayin isn't having a crisis of faith by now, he should be nominated for the Estil equivalent of sainthood.

I mean if Zaiyu's first actual villain encounter doesn't invoke 'beware the silly ones' we are really doing it wrong.
I'm personally hoping we get this as an option:
I just imagined Zaiyu being like "Aight that was fun but the captain's calling me, see ya losers!" and then he just casually teleports out of there, leaving the heroines feeling humilliated.
Just... Sheer arrogance, like we are supposed to be doing. It'll also make the hypothetical audience want to see Zaiyu being humbled, meaning they certainly won't expect the revelation of our infiltration.

Also I wrote that in 2022?!

Okay, so villain personas we could have:

-standard Enemy General, releases monsters while monologuing, leaves once monster is defeated
-rival in a totally-not-Kamen Rider suit. We fight the mahous directly ! Maybe even with a sword !
-spy/phantom thief. Rins needs those government files, stat.
-giant kaiju. I have no idea how we will manage this but it should be fun

At the end of season 2 it turns out all the season's dark generals, multiple of whom have been on screen at once*, were actually one general messing around. Actually it turns out that a significant part of the supporting cast, including love interests, were also that general. Now the real generals show up.

*Including one case where one general betrayed and kill another.

Zaiyu just ignores the battle in favor of batting at the girls' hair ribbons.
Zaiyu shows up, asks them what the deal is with [insert insane conspiracy theory here] every once in a while, possibly while a giant monster is trying to eat them. These aren't necessarily conspiracy theories they know about, like the lab studying monsters, or the secret half-sister, or the hospital basement super-wizard.

Fear us scientists of dubious morality!

We will find you and-...hey do we want to steal their reasearch or destroy it?

Also if there are living captives/subjects/etc do we want to take them back to base or...?

Damn I wanted more the hospital tro :(

Can't believe we're spying on that no good magical authority figure that doesn't have any authority to order us around and why do they get to be leader anyway just because her dad is rich and powerful and we're just an outsider with short hair I can't believe it.

Zaiyu isn't projecting! It's just that we have a job to do and that job is befriending er it's making friends I mean it's manipulating friends USEFUL ASSETS and how dare she show up and order our friends around like she deserves to be in charge what the heck!

I suspect Shayin is powerful enough to disguise themself. But then again maybe we'll have to disguise him. Then again maybe he's going to meet and his Step 1 is teleport everyone to the base for observation instant kidnapping no asking
