Honestly, @Magoose you could consider ways we can suffer the consequences of success (since you seem to know how to give opportunities for success even in failure). Helps avoid some of the constant escalation

Oh I've got a few ideas...

Assassination attempts. Zetsu, Pain, and their ilk taking notice of us and wanting to take us prisoner, and or kill us.

Danzo... I can really make things really painful.

Or you know: I can force you to wander because you want to help people.

No offense...life got complicated, Madara was insane to write and the entire thing just didn't get very fun to write anymore.

I mean we are in naruto, it's not your average Tuesday without someone trying to kill you for a some reason you don't know about. For the Akatsuki chances are we were never going to just let them be, if they don't just auto kill us we might end up becoming a mole in their group if they kidnap us. Danzo is Danzo, he was always going to become a pain in the ass we want rid of as fast as possible. Wandering around helping people just doesn't seem like something an advanced AI designed to help people would do, it would make more sense to build a base to get more people who can help us help people.

I mean I doubt we can do much of anything for all of them, we can maybe get Pain to lower the amount of collateral damage and Kisame to leave as he is there due to his disillusion of the world if I remember right.
