Wait, how long is Minato's reign, and how old would our PC be in Itachi's era when Minato dies?
Well, based on the age of Itachi (He was 21 when he died) and the birth of Natuto ( he is 15-16 in Shipuden) and he was around long enough to make an impact on the world.

So say Minito was 20 when he got the hat, and ruled for four years before actually dying. But that is just my guess.

Because I need villains for the future... and they're there. Just in case.

I mean... Minato's days are numbered depending on if certain things go... certain ways.

Even in an AU that you've chosen.... canon still has some weight... especially involving one Naruto Uzumaki.
Doesn't make sense for Akatsuki to threaten Konoha even if you are bending canon, at least during Minato's reign anyway. Minato showed he is the most lethal ninja in the world when he murdered Iwa. That is not an understatement, it took Obito using the sharinganhax to hold a sliver of a chance at beating the man.

Until Minato dies, how about we don't have Doom and Gloom as bedside friends?

The other nations are fine to screw over, but seeing Magoose explore writing slice of life stuff may be good for their soul.

I'll take it. I've heard a canon timeline is hard to decipher. Four/five/six years as a toddler, I doubt we can avert Minato's doom.

Okay... Then we'll just have a story arc getting new arms then, and all the people who do not want you to have working arms.

I mean, I'll do it, just don't expect me to go all Boruto "All we do is slice of life"

We are not in an era of total peace like Naruto brought about.

Minato isn't unbeatable. He is definitely top tier (if not THE top) in reflexes, and with the combination of that, Hiraishin, his intellect and his other capabilities, he ends up able to punch well above his actual 'weight class' and make the numbers of anyone significantly below his 'weight class' irrelevant, but he is nowhere near invincible.

Laughs in Tobi!

I mean it took for someone to beat him is literal god-tier hacks, and the most powerful biju on the planet, and a particular set of circumstances that forced him to choose village over his own personal wants and needs.

He'd probably have won if he had just five more minutes to stay alive.

And The Kyuubi was... pacified while in the village.

How would he be beaten?

I know he can be. But if a couple of the canon kages showed up to fight Minato. I'd be hard pressed to say the Kages of Iwa, Kumo, Kiri, and Suna (during the Fourth Great Shinobi war, when the nations united as one) could kill Minato together.

True, but he is still human and can be taken by surprise. I'd imagine that the fact he is a natural Chakra Sensor and has Kushina at home has helped a whole lot (saved his life on multiple occasions), but my previous point stands.

Edit: it would take someone well above his weight class to beat him, like the real Madara; even without a Bijuu or Space-time, he would likely be able to beat him fairly consistently. On the other hand, the Third Raikage would probably shrug off his hits and tire him to death (Chakra exhaustion). The latter, I believe, is the closest thing to a hard counter - if anyone uses Edo Tensei to get him.

All one needs is a strong enough defense.

And I never said he wasn't a badass. Just that it took a very particular set of circumstances to kill him.

No. Go full mode here. No "going easy on the gloom nonsense" please. I want this shit on the full-course. We are literally crippled in the 2nd way it matters the most for a Hyuuga. This may not be the Hard mode, but looking at certain circunstances it might as well be. Fate has already shown that she won't be kind on us already, no point in 'going easy'.

If you actually went Slice of Life here I would be baffled. This may not be the warring clans era, the 1st war, the 2nd war or the 3rd war, but this isn't Naruto's era when thing is 'kinda easy' and damm not Boruto's era when they are barely out of the nursery when it matters as a Ninja.

Damm right we aren't.

Already said, Fate has shown that she won't be kind to us. Either we lay down whining at the 'unfairness' of the world losing, or we shut up, grit or teeth, fucking solve the problem and move on or die trying. If the world has already shown that it won't help you, that it can be cruel and that it won't go easy on you from the fucking get-go, why would we wait crying for help like an helpless child?

My memory is very fuzzy. I need to reread. The impression I have...

Slice of life is hard for Magoose. Really, it is. The previous naruto SI by magoose went the route you want. Then it hit the problem of escalating conflict, as the protagonist grew too strong. Throw in the next monster! Magoose's spirit moves on.

Seeing Magoose run a quest where they do not actively work towards screwing over the protagonist, and those near the protagonist, every single arc/turn would be nice.

I mean... I'll try, but the dice, at least in my quests, are bloodthirsty basterds that really like making my characters suffer and earn a happy ending. Until the next problem shows up that requires killing.

[X] Best Older Brother

I like the 4th Sannin idea/vote, but I prefer Older Brother to Treason Then.

I'm not necessarily pleased with a Hyuuga getting Crippled Arms. Our entire fighting style relies on the precision that we get from striking with our fingers. Now we've got no choice except a.) be terrible at ninja-ing or b.) be involved in some kind of horrific experiment/procedure that forever taints our reputation.

A compromise then. No over the top Doom and Gloom until we have our arms fixed or atleast nearly so. After that we can go balls to the wall.

Problem with escalating Quests is that no matter what we do or achieve there is never a point where it just ends or pauses for a while to take a breath and just enjoy the fruits of our labours. Its depressing and entirely tiring mentally to always have to deal with the next world ending threat after just dealing with the previous one.

So a nice balance is needed so I do hope we atleast can have some time to deal with the cripple issue before being thrown head first into a conflict we have no chance of actually surviving.

I mean by the time that happens Kyuubi will be stomping around like Godzilla, so...

Already planned on it.

    [X] Plan New Hopes
-[X]The Right Hands Child: You were the child of your Clan heads brother. You are lucky… without his influence, you would be separated from your family and placed into the Branch Family.
-[X] "The Third Shinobi World War. Konohagakure lost many ninja in the war, but Namikaze Minato guided us through it. I believe he will be a good Hokage."
    [X] Best Older Brother
-[X]The Clan Heir: Your father is the man who has lead the Hyuuga clan for many years. You are the firstborn child after many years of trouble. You are a signal to a new generation.

    [X]Plan: It's Treason, Then
-[x]The Branch's Treason: You were not supposed to be born. Your father was scheduled to die, for being both a traitor to the clan, disobeying an order from the Clan head, an order he refused to follow. He would die after you were born, suffering death by the same seal that was placed on your head (Start with Caged Bird Seal)
-[x]The First Shinobi World War. Senju Tobirama sacrificed his life so his men, including our Hokage, Sarutobi Hiruzen, could make it back to the village."
    [X]Plan: Fourth Sanin v.2
-[X]The Branches Favorite: You were seen by the main branch as another Branch Member. But they saw differently. You were treated well by the Branch Family. They saw you as the one who will remind the Main Family that just because they had a seal on your head, meant nothing. You would prove you were equals. (Start with Caged Bird Seal)
