On regards to the discussion…

Not trusting GUN with Chuck…fair. That said we aren't in a position to be picky here. If they can help us do it we should let them.

Even if they try to use him against us that A. Gives us Causus beli, and B. Would only be able to happen after we got our empire back. Thus a non issue.

The Cure though we have no excuse. No reason not to help us and no real way to screw us over.

So as the GMs confirmed Rouge didn't steal anything over trying to ensure she gets what she wants..

How should we approach deprogramming Shadow? If he's suffering an equivalent memory-personality thing like Eggman then anything that reminds him of Maria can help...

Probably one of the reasons Towers wants to study the black arms material, the Black arms are actively a hive mind.

That is going to be one of the steps probably.

Cutting off Shadow mental connection to Black Doom.

We know they guy is still there on his battle with Lanolin.

But Black Doom seems to assume direct control or give a nudge so he doesn't get out of line.

If María and Gerald are Indeed out there still, the cure for sure is going to be pivotal in that we may be able to find them

This is basically it, but one should never forget that the approach described only works when the government has the monopoly on force. If someone, either an opposing nation or someone like Eggman accumulates enough power, then they have to be handled differently. Especially when the organisation literally screwed them and theirs over in the past.

That's how you wind up with dangerous folks with grudges who aren't likely to discriminate between rank and file soldiers and the real decision makers. Especially if their objectives isn't justice, but revenge.

I wonder if Eggman has old videos and images of Maria somewhere on his network. Blasting Shadow of footage with himself and Maria should probably be a start..

Heck, if we want to keep some advantage to Eggman, we could point out Shadow would be best kept under "his" custody instead of GUN while hes recovering. At best GUN would throw Shadow in stasis and never let him out.. as they did before. Maybe have Omega stand guard over Shadow to give Rouge some leeway.. perhaps that will be a bit familiar.
 
You know considering the implications on 06 and that we never knew Omega true purpose.

I feel Eggman created Omega only so he could stand guard in case Shadow awakened.

Like Omega is a top of the line super badnik that Eggman went and made an very powerful and unique power source, armed him to the mother board and deliverately left him close to Shadow capsule.

Eggman made a machine that especifically could keep up with Shadow in the case the later tried to escape and wasn't too keen on the doctor.

Then again the 06 could have been Mephiles just messing with team dark in general, cause if someone had a bone to pick with Shadow it was Mephiles.

Eggman just didn't see coming that Rouge would awaken both of those and turn them againts him.

Well at least for Omega, I doubt the doctor even saw coming that Shadow would awaken with amnesia.

I switched to this plan, so we can avoid giving GUN the ability to develop Zeti technopathy. We still have a chance of getting him to release Thunderbolt.

Eh. We have a few brains actions we want to do, but I wouldn't say we're pressed to do them to be honest. We're probably about to agree to study the Black Arms material. The Lance needs to be studied so we can understand the threat of Selvaria, but the Empire just got its butt kicked. Ragnite healing kits would be nice. Ring retrieval units would be good to have too. We'll also need to hack the Eggnet to retake our empire eventually. It'd be a lot more difficult to work on them if we didn't have Sage, but we have her. We have a 49% chance to pass the action with the lowered DC. I'd be fine just throwing an action at it Turn 5, and doubling down on it Turn 6 if we fail.

But the thing about inviting GUN onto it means that if we release it, GUN will receive the vast majority of the credit for it. Most people like GUN a lot more than they like Eggman, and not for unjustified reasons. Biases will just mean that we won't get the proper credit for it.

As I said I am more on Edge about giving GUN the deal now.

In their current state I wouldn't trust them too much, so lets give small steps right now and give the Chuck deal to Rouge so at least we can get at minimum a meeting with the man and that he is sent to the restoration instead of GUN.

For as much as I trust Towers, Walters is another thing entirely and could start a mutiny if given enough leeway and resources and feels that Towers is not doing enough of a job.

Walters idea of an alliance with the restoration says a lot that he will probably be a trouble down the road.

He is already tanking loyalty with both Hope and Walters, lets wait until he gets his shit in order before we think of doing any game changing collabs with them.

See my problem with his plan is that I am not sure Towers would allow a plus one, Thunderbolt sure but a plus one?

Most people in that prison derseve to be there.

I am not willing to risk a autopass just because people are greedy and hope we get Grimer for the ride by relying on meta knowdlge and there's no character justofication why we would ask for a plus one.

Yeah, I don't want to sway the votes too much, vote for whatever you want, but Soberan has a point

Just because Grimer was pragmatic and had just enough of a heart to not let a fellow follower of his master get pummeled doesn't mean he's someone who doesn't deserve to be there
 
It could be rephrased as "release prisoners you arrested for Eggman sympathies to me and I'll give you Zomon." It'd probably involve a contested roll. I don't care too much for it because getting multiple hero units out of this feels cheap.
