Chapter 2 - Spooky spooks of fun 3

… quickly jump up from your position. With cat-like movement you immediately and without sparing even a single look at the source of the disturbance pounce straight at Kishi sitting next to you. She is your knight and best friend after all, and more so than anyone she can save you from scary monsters! It is something she has done plenty of times, so this should be a piece of cake for someone like her.
Well, that is how you attempt to justify it to yourself a few moments later, because the only thing passing through your brain is along the lines of 'Scared. Hug someone. Kishi nearby'.
Still, to your credit you don't scream... Much...
Well, you may have screamed a little in terror during your impromptu flight towards the involuntary sanctuary offered by your best friend. Kishi doesn't even get the chance to react to your assault, only yelping loudly as you grab her on your way down. You wrap both your legs and arms around her, scared witless of the thought of her leaving you alone against the monster that sneaked behind you.
At the same time you also bury your face into her clothes in an effort to hide from whatever monster grabbed you, and start blurting out high-pitched, desperate pleas for her help, "Help me Kishi, it's a monster!!!"
To your horror, the only sound that escapes Kishi is a light whimper and a weak wheezing noise. She… She is down! All is lost as you will all get eaten by a scary monster. But there was so much you could have still done with your life… You never got your revenge against your uncle, you never got to...
What is she laughing about!? This is a dead-serious matter!
Further in your vision you notice Evelyn. She is clearly trying to hold back her amusement, and is also failing pretty badly since she has to forcibly keep her mouth shut with her hands. Unfortunately, seeing your bewildered face stare at her seems to be enough for her to fall down to the floor too and start howling in laughter alongside Ariane.
"You… You should see... your faces… oh God…" Evelyn manages to force out between the hysterical fits of laughter erupting from her. Kishi whimpers weakly in response, unable to protest in your tight grasp, while you yourself keep staring at the girls laughing at your misfortune.
...Did they plan this!? Those heartless monsters!

You hear the sound of giggling near you, followed by some high-pitched coughing. Against your better judgment you shift your head slightly to get a small view to the room. The first thing to enter your sight is the crouching form of Ariane. Her other hand is held on her throat while the other one is partially extended in the air where you were sitting a moment ago. She falls to the ground and holds her stomach with her arms as the giggling turns into a mixture of full-blown laughter and the occasional cough thrown between the constant fits.What is she laughing about!? This is a dead-serious matter!

- If you had gone with the slashing options, that would have more or less been equal to a bad end due to a trauma-induced witch-out. It may not have been immediate, but I probably would have cut it off to that point. Tamiko is not in a state where she can handle the knowledge of having killed/maimed one of her friends out of the blue (and then introduced to lich-bomb). Keep in mind that Ariane was in no position to really defend against a panicked Tamiko and since your sword is pretty brutal in quick draws due to the automatic small charge...

Depends. I think you guys are underestimating just how much control you actually have over Tamiko's mental faculties. I try to incorporate the thought process that the winning vote contains whenever it is possible and more or less plausible IC. The bandwagon vote had Tamiko think she was being attacked by a scary monster, so I included that part in the update as well. The justification was that Tamiko is easily taken down by jump scares and has more of a flight than fight reflex when it comes to those, which is played more for humorAnd suddenly this little prank is a lot less funny.
(see the arcade debacle for evidence).And honestly, for all the horror scenarios of bad ends and evil QMs... had the slashing vote gained any traction, I probably would have just called out you on it or vetoed it pre-emptively. I can be nice QM every once in a while, you know, despite trying to appear menacing... Also seriously guys, we are not yet in the point of the story where chances are that someone grabbing you wants to hurt you

"S-stop laughing, it's not that funny!" you desperately scream at your friends, "I-I'm completely serious, that was just evil of you!"
Naturally, your indignant protesting does absolutely nothing to abate the howling laughter of Evelyn and Ariane. You pout at their reaction and try one more time to convince them of the folly of their ways. "C-come on, this is no laughing matter! I almost had a heart attack there," you shout in a high-pitched voice, but to no avail. The pair keeps laughing at you.
There is no helping it, the evil has overtaken your friends too… With a heavy heart you turn your face away from the soft fabric of Kishi's school uniform and focus your attention to her face. She has turned completely red and is weakly stuttering in protest alongside you. Unfortunately, the sheer embarrassment from the situation seems to be too much for her to overcome on her own and she remains paralyzed in your grasp.
"K-Kishi, I-I… I'm sorry!" you blurt out and start blushing yourself as it dawns on you just how closely the two of you are tied together by your limbs. This afternoon is turning into a disaster of great proportions already. But you can yet make through this if only you try!
Still, you try to gather your wits and ignore the awkward position you are locked in to the best of your ability. "B-but please, snap out of it Kishi! I-I need your help here, you're my only hope against t-those... those traitors! T-tell them they are in the wrong..." you plead her again, but to your constantly growing horror Kishi refuses to gather herself enough to offer you any aid.
So it is up to you, and you alone to fight back. You grimace and take a quick look around the room, searching for anything you could use. The shelves nailed to the walls are partially filled with Ariane's plushies. Maybe if you could…
With grim determination you shoot your arm towards the shelf next to you. It is difficult in the snuggling position you are in, but you manage to grab a stuffed bunny with pink fur and throw it against Evelyn's face.
"T-take that, you meanie!" you shout your mighty warcry as the plushy bounces off Evelyn's face, leaving the girls slightly staggered. Her laughter seems to die off and she turns to look at you with a slowly widening smile that radiates the promise of revenge and pain in untold amounts.
"So… It's a fight you want, eh?" she growls playfully with a glint in her eyes and turns to reach for some ammo on another shelf. You only manage a panicked yelp before a green teddy bear with a comically large head collides with you and Kishi's head, courtesy of Evelyn. You can't help but to think that it is probably pretty rude to use Ariane's stuff like that-
"Wheee! A pillow fight!" Ariane gleefully shouts from the side and scrambles towards her bed in a bid to claim the actual pillows for herself. Well, there goes any hope of avoiding this one… Guess you'll just have to endure it and just strife for victory.
"T-Tamiko, please grab something to t-toss," you suddenly hear Kishi nervously stutter to you as she grabs your body with one of her arms in return and pushes the both of you further away from your friends and closer to the shelves. You take only a confused look at Kishi's still flustered face before nodding in agreemnts. You and Kishi both scythe through rows of stuffed toys with your free arms and immediately begin bombarding your friends with them.
Never once do you let go of each other.
Unfortunately, this proves to be your undoing. While having to separate people throwing this does give you an initial advantage, Ariane and Evelyn soon take advantage of your lack of mobility and inability to gather more ammo. The two team up against you and while you put up a valiant effort to stuff their faces with the plushies, it only delays the inevitable.
You and Kishi both eep in fear and hug each other tighter as you realize that you are nearly out of stuff to throw and your enemies are already right next to you. Evelyn and Ariane are kneeling next to you, both menacingly holding pillows above their heads. "Do you yield? Should you lay down your weapons and surrender, I promise you will be treated fairly and with… well, some dignity!" Evelyn proclaims triumphantly while she pants in exhaustion. On your other side, Ariane smiles happily and nods in agreement.
Even she looks slightly winded from the effort. Well, all of you are in a haphazard shape anyways, with your hairs thrown all over your head, and faces red from both laughter and the impacts from the plushies. It was truly a battle to remember...
What do you do?
[] You are not done in yet! Grab a plushie and fight to the bitter end!

However, things should be wrapped up tomorrow as the Easter holidays come around, so updating should get a bit easier for a while. Well, I hope...
