Considering how many combat missions we have lined up next turn, and they're all fairly heavy duty, I'm tempted to spend all that money on shield generators and symbiotes because god knows we're going to need it with how much fighting we're going to be doing.

Shield generators don't cost money though, just Global Actions, and Mendicant's not available yet to buy from.

For next turn, I want to do the Rep version of Move That Bus and at least one Research action. They'll both be useful, and the former will help us keep Katie's secrets. For the Research action...I honestly don't have too much of a preference, they all seem pretty good.

We should definitely do at least one of Rosemary's Baby and Red Glow.
Each of them is one research action that unlocks bonuses to how Project Prometheus works.

You can't do them multiple times, really.

Edit: wait, what we can spend a global action on this turn is an opportunity to unlock Red Glow or Rosemary's Baby, not the action itself.

My priorities for personal actions:
  1. Project Prometheus
  2. A Spoonful of Sugar (maybe, might depend on whether we take the Fast Pass research and whether we get a freebie like we did for Spoonful)
  3. Apiary expansion?
  4. Move That Bus (Rep)
  5. Why Didnt They Just Run Sideways - any of the numerous research options we have
  6. Legally Distinct Shields, so our heroes are at less risk of dying.
  7. The 10,000 kicks action so LL can contribute more to the team, particularly from a distance
  8. A second research action??
But these priorities will probably change depending on how the new changes to personal/global actions work out.

So if I'm understanding correctly, all that's left for this Turn is:

-[X][PERSONALS]
--[X][LADY LEIZI] The Spider's Web (Monarch)
--[X][MENAGERIE WITCH] Who Doesn't Love a Power Testing Scene?
--[X][CHATELET] You Live Like This?!

I think Chatelet's action was filled in by Wolong and Belle Sabreuse, but LL's action may end up getting delayed, considering that she's got no effective Intrigue replacement and the whole "trapped near the Frozen Throne" business.

Menagerie Witch's training was actually at the very start of the turn, it just happened offscreen:

Somewhere on the Atlantic Ocean – S.S. Dauntless – January 5, 2068

Underneath the water, a predator lurks.

Unchanged by evolution for 35 million years, nature's perfect eating machine silently stalks its prey. There, up above where the light touches, a pair of legs belonging to a young girl idly kicks as she treaded water. Her friend hovers above the ocean just next to her, a Judas in disguise. Said young girl had recently developed a little bit of an attitude after training and had forgotten her place in the pecking order.

Menagerie Witch's HIT increases by 1!

The Spider's Web happened during the Golden Dragon Triad action, when LL figured out where Monarch's money was coming from:

Yellow Qilin leans forward. "It matters not, because only I can purchase goldnine and only I am willing to pay my supplier. I control the flow."

DC 15.

Stat Check: OPERATIONS 5. Lady Leizi has OPERATIONS 5.

You rolled: 18.

18 + 3 (The Spider's Web) = 21. Critical Success!
Only she is willing to pay her supplier? Who could—oh, Leviathan's Blood.

"Monarch?" you say exasperated, "You're paying Monarch for goldnine? Please tell me you're joking, darling."

The stunned expression returns as Yellow Qilin looks like she's been punched in the stomach. Yes, Monarch, of course. It's the only explanation that makes sense. You knew that the Ghost Dragon Triad is paying her, but for what? Goldnine. With her teleportation powers, she could easily create a path to the QZ that could avoid the R-Train. The R-Train could detect biological signatures and the energy released when goldnine subsumed other matter—but it could not detect actual goldnine itself. That's how you got away with storing as much as you have.
So we're officially done for the turn!

Was it really just purely for setting the scene?
Nope. Actually it was super important to how her power will manifest! Look at how she dealt with Trismegistus.
And her meeting Belle was unexpected! I guess it's a d12 because JU has eight active heroes (Belle is the 8th) and New Dawn has four combat heroes atm?
That's correct, with Wolong and Arc taking LL and Chatelet's spots.
>The Chiefs changed their name.
Three Super Bowls in five years. You can at least stop it with that tomahawk chop!
My ego wants to take just a little bit of credit for this
No, you inspired that line. Take away!
... I think A'tuin is a Named-Rank Behemoth
No, A'Tuin is the Named-Rank Behemoth. It's mostly chill tho.
@Bitterman question:
Between the Foot and University District, which of the two were deemed safer to live in prior to the Movement?

How often do hero groups with territories like New Dawn and Global Justice get called outside of their jurisdiction for help?
Foot was the safest because of Justiciar. And it was rare to go outside of your jurisdiction; it started all kinds of pissing matches.
I FUCKING CALLED THAT SHIT!!!
I worry I've grow predicable . . .
Instead we chose which wallpaper her mind-palace has.
Oh no. It's much more than that.

I may have worded that poorly. You can do the research actions this turn.

Those were all done. LL figured out the funding in perdition, Maddie got her stat bump off-screen, and Chatelet's action went to Wolong.

You are as dark and bottomless as the sea. You fade from his view, obscured in endless tides and currents beyond perception. He cannot find you to claim you, and you slip through his grasp like water through cupped hands.

But, at the same time, you are a beacon of warmth, a campfire on a moonless night. Your power is benevolent and invigorating, the antithesis of everything Trismegistus has made himself into. You erase his presence the way light erases shadow, until there is nothing but a naked, shivering man on your surf.
This section definitely read to me as describing how Yara's power works, with the first part especially reading as a description of her Phasewalking. The second part feels line it's probably the expression of her Telepathy, and likely why she could interface with the Dynamite picks' Stage remnants.

And we have another vote coming to further define it.

So we've got 6 global actions now.

Spider Web, Apiary Expansion, and a research are likely locked in (Remove/fix the Red or Rosemary being undecided).

Last 3 slots are a knife fight between LL boosting, Apiary Rep (Community Center) if its not tied into the expansion given the whole get more protection from random Acid Rain mines, Project Prometheus, Spoonfuls, shield generators, and the second research action. With the increase in turn by turn income from 1k to 2.5k and an infusion of 10k income, Merchandising takes a likely backseat this turn unless its a meaningful income change here. So 5-6 slots for 3 actions most likely.

For some quick questions @Bitterman would LL only get her hit bonus after she returns and when exactly would expanding the Apiary or gaining OID control give us cap? Namely, if we say, expand the Apiary and Prometheus Yara + 1 person would we go over the limit considering we would hit 11 characters there if Katie makes it back too?

Edit: With the confirmation on Yara not taking a Prometheus and the way the cap interacts there is no way we're Prometheusing this turn, so its pick 3 of Spoonful, generators, Apiary Rep, and LL boosting.

1) She would get it when you can get her the weapon IC.
2) Yes, in that situation you would go over cap.

Okay Prometheusing this turn is horribly inefficient then, noted.

It would be trading doing someone early to try and help with Reality Check and Puella, which would be good but we would be forced into doing an extra global action where I'm not wholy sure if we'd have the space for that easily. Or we could do it for purely Yara and then end up only getting half the potential for Prometheus while probably not advancing through our globals as much as we need and mainly getting her after the hardest missions are done for the turn.

Maybe if we're desperate for the early turn person but New Dawn should help for there and I'd rather get our Spoonful regimes started for Cain/Shelley, get through one of our non renewable actions, etc.

You know, I just realized something. We're pretty sure that Apiary was empowered by Scarlet Maturity, right? Well, looking at her sheet, it looks like she get the Matter Conversion keyword from him. The question I can't help but ask is, how did Scarlet manage to empower Apiary in the first place, and how did it go unnoticed? From what I understand, she was under observation for a while once she began transforming in the first place,.and considering what she went through as a result of her powers, if Scarlet Maturity was responsible by means of strengthening her, I would have thought that she'd let someone know, if only out of a moment of spite. Maybe let her friends know, if nothing else.

Unless I'm misremembering, Bitterman said empowering Yara doesn't take an action, just the income and Ambrosia, because she's already half powered up. Though I don't know how that translates into the theoretical new Project Prometheus action.

Oh wait, you're so right there. Don't think it meaningfully changes the calculus around doing a Prometheus action but it does make next turn easier all the same.

say by the way how do we know what dna samples to put in Yara's Ambrosia?
It could be some form of predestination, in that JU had been thinking about this dose for a while now with whoever their next P13 candidate would be. Or a weird corollary to ontological resonance, where you get a premonition of Bad Things happening if you try to make a dose outside of what has already been selected.

If we can do both research options I want to do them to get them out of the way. Besides we need to keep one goldnine available for Yaras Dose. (Or if we want to take Augurs offer) or in case the R-Trainnmission doesnt give immediate Goldnine to keep Ellies girls alive.
