Well, because usually there's some reasonable limitations on it. Like "I can only copy X number of things at a time" And when they're not... Uh, they are treated like "The most powerful character in whatever setting they're in"

Apparently she doesn't have that limitation, her superpower is having Every superpower at the same time. Including ones that would be S-Listers on their own.
I get why you're upset but to be fair we're also pretty OP to the point of having a literal panic button that does.. this. We have tricks of our own, and the fact that we actually did pretty well against the first batch of clones shows how good we are, I trust in Bitterman anyway, he's been nothing but a reasonable QM so far.

Oh, it's not distrust, I am Most assuredly and irrevocably Invested.

I just have a genuine anxiety disorder and an overactive imagination that trends towards assuming the worst. Cliffhangers like this are Awful for me to read.

Fucking hell, what a horror this is going to be. I'm excited though.

Also god you made me like Sunlight Knight so quickly.

What I don't get is how Justicar's power can do what it does? Like, it doesn't make sense that it'd be able to specifically punish wrong-think, just because all of this shit is so fucking subjective.

Like, when the power was, "Can enforce a stupidly rigid version of the law wherein forbidden Actions are Forbidden." that felt like something that could actually make sense, and would of course be more than sufficient for any purpose.

This... doesn't entirely make sense, honestly?

So we're putting Zeno into this. Its just a question of who else. The space time manipulation has to be worth a ridiculous amount in terms of helping keep people intact and positioning in this battlefield.

She got juiced by the Scarlet Maturity clone and her power was already busted to begin with. That's how she did it.

Hmmmm, I wonder

Is the Augur like part of the "Hours" (Horae Guards) or is he part of this "Apotheosis"? Kyoko the speaker's statements are very thought-inducing

Still skimming through stuff

So, on the one hand this is thrilling, on the other hand Socialite Butterfly is kinda more annoying than interesting as an antagonist? Her every move isn't some clever application of a power or some interesting motivation, but just another super that she actually turned out to have copied and had a clone waiting on standby to specifically fuck any situation where she seems like she's taking any sort of loss.

Potency doesn't matter. You're choosing existing metahumans, and you get three. Choose whoever you like: there is no limitation other than they must be dead.

You know, come to think of it.

Scarlet Maturity would get Real fucking pissed off that someone made a shitty copy of him, wouldn't he?

That it was an associate of Faust, who was an associate of him... Well...

what if we used justiciar and added Zeno and then Shutdown.....
Mak an Edict that takes away all constructs made by power. then We say Scialite Butterfly can't use power. socialite butterfly cannot live.

Honestly the call I want to make is Zeno, Red Huntress, Memoria.

Learn the locations of everyone relevant. Freeze the enemies, and teleport away the allies.

Honestly, from a purely meta standpoint, I want to do an Uiara focused powerset here. It feels right, the question is what would boost it up further.

Like, I can't really think of a better narrative point to do this, when both of the people she was vaguely connected to are at major turning points.

It's why she isn't the primary antagonist like she was waaaay back when. Only so much you can do to keep battles with her interesting more than once or twice.

I mean, from what I can tell if she doesn't die in the next five minutes she'll come back tomorrow twice as strong because her power doesn't really seem to have any limits that stop her from just going, "Do over", running away, and being even stronger next time, as in the very next day?

E: To be clear, I'm not saying, "Her power doesn't have any limits."

Also, I think my roll has been revealed: I make idle plan suggestions that aren't enough to swing votes but are clever/funny enough ideas that Bitterman slides them into the update.

all the way back, I floated that Leizi could set Earthen Owl's vines on fire, and that made it into the update as a minor detail.

Here? Maddie insulting SB's clones, John trying to choke SB out, AND from a while back "Rhys turns into a clone for a Bavarian Fire Drill".

I definitely think we should make Shutdown a part of whatever combo we choose to go with. Being able to turn off Justicar's powers alone would be massively helpful in this situation, and any others effects would just be gravy as far as I'm concerned.

... Oh fuck.

Uiara + Umibozu + Féth Fíada

Macro Hydrokinetic + Fine Control/Tactical Genius + "If I can create a fog, I become nigh omniscient and everyone inside is fucking cursed and blind anyway, but I have an IFF on it so I can boost my own allies"

The sheer insane synergy on this is... Wow.

@Bitterman : Am I on the right track with this?

We need a combo that insta-kills SB like right now. She can't be allowed to escape to pull this shit out again. We can't let this go for more than a minute, SB pretty much has everything to kill us all right there.

We need the equivalent to a nuke. No enjoyment, no flashing, just make her not live anymore right now.

To be fair, if we do this right, she's probably dying in the next five minutes anyways.

8 + 2 + 5 (I'm Sorry, I Won't Join You Yet) = 15. Major Success!
You are Châtelet.

Sunlight Knight was in your arms, bleeding to death, as you hid from the copy of your cousin's lover. You had just gotten the tourniquet on when three ultimatums were drilled into your skull.

Now, you're dying. No, not dying, dying would be heaven compared to this. You're thrashing around in your own mind, dying but not being allowed to die.

You have to do that yourself.
Hm, this feels minorly ominous as a combo with Châtelet's injury levels not being listed.
