A hand insde a bag/pocket about to pull something out?

It fits the name and how Rhys has a bag of tricks he can pull off through shapeshifting.

Could work, but I'm having a hard time imagining it as a good looking symbol.

A upside down magician's hat could work though, since it's implying he'll pull something unexpected out of it. Problem is, it's not very thematic with the name Handyman, but it could be made thematic if we change his name to Hat Man/Black Hat. Magicians are illussionists after all, and that fits his spy theming

On the personal side, for Leizi, assuming we don't have any plot-based personal actions that are separate from group work, I noted that her training specifically said that it would be harder to train her stats that are higher.

So, for her, I feel that Leizi's best course of action for training is working on her own Reputation. She needs to convince the people that she can pick up the pieces and be a good mentor for this new JU.

Mona, I want her to train her Operations. If she's going to be a new sub-leader, a bit more of a head for logistics and planning would do her good.

Maddie, while we don't want to make her a frontline, a bit of Hit training wouldn't go awry.

And Rhys can boost his Hit as well to train his abilities.

Well, if we're commenting on stats improvement. Personally for Leizi, I'd prioritize her Operations, but I wouldn't be against Reputations since it is indeed her weakest stat and as leader she'll have to learn sooner than later to be more front-facing.

For Mona, I'd rather lean on her strengths for now and go Reputations. She's currently the one person carrying it, and I feel that for the time being, she should lean into that more.

The same goes for Maddie, I want her Operations improved. While I won't deny that she'd be facing danger someday, I believe support-leaning is best especially because it's the highest among our group of heroes.

Rhys…I agree with going Hit. Gotta learn how that works for himself.
 
The post did mention his old look is his costume, if it werent for that I would suggest names with a galaxy feel or animal feel since well Black Swan and Menagerie witch (Animals and space theme). Hmm Clay Pidgeon (wait no we dont want him to be shot, this aint the olimpics)

Point of order, she does not use her government name. Leizi (also know as Dianmu, 電母) is a mythological goddess of lightning. LL birth name is Lei Zixuan (雷子萱) which initially looks like a pun based on her family name and first syllable of her given name, but is actually different tone-wise.

The first metahuman, the guy who cured cancer and founded Horizon. He's referenced throughout the story and was Uiara's grandfather.

I've come around to Mr. Clay. It's the right type of bland-but-distinct name as to be silly but not silly enough to be a point of mockery (aside from the blandness).

I am kind of torn if it should be "Mr. Claymore" though, for the pun, but also because he just might be able to pull off a "claymore punch".

Still thinking on more names, and it struck me that since Rhys is made out of "clay" he can freely shape, he can take a page out of Menagerie Witch's naming sense and use myth as a inspiration.

Some figures like Adam, Ganesha and Enkidu are made out of clay to name a few.
 
Would an ability having a trigger or conditional like Red Huntress needing to touch someone or Memorial needing to take a photo be a Minor or Medium side effect?

I think the fist emblem is great and also fits with handyman. Since prefer handy man as a name i just mix them up

Ceramic because that material is basically clay that has been fired/refined (just like someone is 'refined' by Ambrosia, love me some symbolism) and become hard, and he's a person made out of capital C Clay that punches hard. :V

Also, this way, when he's undercover he can talk about a ceramic vase he has he really likes and the moment he mentions it broke, that's code for his cover being blown (in the hypothetical espionage mission where he infiltrates somewhere as someone else that I came up in my head with).

Also Also I think it'd be really funny to play at misdirecting with the name in this way, like, have villains think he's weak when he's the tank, teach them there's a reason ceramic plates are used in armor, something like that.


The dragon sporting characteristics from many different other creatures (like say one arm an open handed human one, another a closed draconic fist for example, harkening to his ability to literally pass off as any other human and to his inhuman strength both (symbolism how I love thee)) is because he said he liked dragons and because chinese dragons are from china, where the terracotta army was found, terracotta which is like ceramic which– I think you get it yes. The dragon's coils/body is also transforming as it unfurls from one state/form to another, like a certain someone we know (syyymbolissmmmm).

Also I explained how I picture spiraling outwards to look like because I have bad spatial intelligence so to speak so it helps me to put it into words. :oops:


I actually wasn't going to put this much effort into a plan but wow. I got excited and, well, next thing I know I have this here, hope y'all like it?

I like the reasoning behind the name! Ceramic is certainly pretty thematic for Rhys. Nice callback to his BF Vulcan liking dragons too, since you heat up clay to make Ceramic and dragons are a great source of fire.

It's actually pretty romantic too if you think about it. Vulcan's ideals are what made Rhys take his step towards heroism.

Though, I will say the Emblem is overly detailed. It's best to keep it simple, hence why most supers who have emblems tend to go for minimalism (think Superman's S, or Batman's stylized bat), especially since the symbol will be on their body and details will be hard to spot with how small it is.

A spiraling dragon alone is pretty good on its own already.
