Also diff topic but do you guys think the Zeno Whitebeard plan woudl give an Offensive Ability based on Space-Time.

Energy is pretty versatile and I feel like space crack are another way to bypass invulnerability.

This encounter woth WH really makes want a psychic or Esoteric attacker to make the bastard suffer.

Strwdfast having the best invulnerability but scared of Valk due to his Invulnerability not protecting him from psychic attacks means it one of the best way to fuck WH up. Just goota get tid of seraph if she tries to defend him or have 2 psychcis to stall seraph and hit WH

Chihiro's not a metahuman iirc. She's got the same amount of special abilities as Mona or John just by virtue of being that damn good at her job. Goddamn.

Edit: by special abilities I mean things that directly affect game mechanics like injury levels or rolls.

I'd say around 7 or so - we did well but probably missed out on some extra goodies. But I don't think anyone's going to begrudge only having pie instead of having pie and cake.
 
Well in honor of us finishing this round of rolls (and the fact I was writing before this) I present to you... something that's probably stupid. Just give me a second..

    It was a beautiful day in Horizon, the birds were singing, the flowers were blooming… and several key districts were probably on fire. Honestly, nothing new, let us turn the channel from this proverbial dumpster fire and show something more… calm? I Don't know if calm is the right word here…Distraction? Pass time? And Then X3? The mad ramblings of an individual that should not have been given so much power/ liberty to write stuff in the proverbial 4th​ wall? Hopefully, it loses its passport…ANYWAY!

    Lets go take a detour several miles to the right as we see an individual who Is about to make a very, very, very dumb idea. (Did I mention this is bad?) Anyway, here we have an individual 18 something male adolescent, he is pretty much average, all things considered. Normal grades in his online courses, a splash of friends here and there, an interest in game design believe it or not, and an internet channel by the name Stardust TCG, a videogame and superhero speculation channel where the titular STCG plays games, talks about heroes, Power Interactions and all that jazz. He has a somewhat niche audience in the proverbial sea of hero channels in the world, and he is ok with that, so let's see what's he doing.

    Stardust: Ok… mic check, camera check, images check. Ok we are all clear! 3, 2, 1 aaaaaand… Welcome back Starbrights, my name is Stardust TCG, and I welcome you back to a somewhat different episode to my usual content. You see dear viewers, Remember how I said I was going to show you some Tech picks for the Apiary Deck in Omega Heroes? Well… about that…I got banned from the game.


    Don't worry! It's only temporary, Ill have my account back by next week and everything should go back to normal. Now you may be asking yourself, Stardust why did you get banned? And that dear viewer… well I basically got caught in the crossfire of some Admin bans when spectating an Omega Heroes match. The two players Earth Lord and Best Ant, who I'm pretty sure were Earthen Owl (Powers) and Bullant (Entomon's) were having a serious back and fort in the game, and from what I managed to piece together from their comments? This was like the third game they were playing in a series of video game rounds including the popular game Meta Chasers, among others. As the game continued, we were joined by Red Light and Star Rose Crusader, who began commenting the play by play, you know like those sport commentors we see in the TV sometimes. A couple of turns in they both began making jokes and taken some subtle potshots at the players, who took pot shots in return and at each other. After 30 minutes of potshots, innuendos (RL and SRC), yo mama jokes and the weirdest game of would you ever (Why did they but the timer to unlimited?) I Think Earth Lord figure out who Best Ant was? And proceeded to site copyright infringement or something among those lines, with Best Ant basically going no you back at him, this continued like for an additional 20 minutes as they completely forgot of the 3 spectators, and then an admin came in, took one look at the Circus going on and basically gave everyone a 1-week ban, no questions asked. Sooooo yeah that was my weekend, so as I scrambled to make a new video idea, I got contacted by Red Light and they gave me an idea.

    • Speaking of omake $#!+posts I just got inspired and might very well have something unexpected later. It too will start "it was a beautiful day in Horizon" but go very differently from there.
     
    I think Joules might be stronger than he lets on despite his cowardice, I checked EXCEED and he was sent to help with C-22-13, which means his power must have been theoretically useful against them for the purposes of locking them down (Like Cisma or Chatelet) or pushing them away from each other (like Heavenly Astrologian).

    Anyway since rolls are done. I wonder if Leizi is gonna use the fact that Stockpile genuinely believes VS was a madman and JU didnt stop her to make him Realize that if he lets WH do his things Crusade would be no different from what he belives JU to be.

    Afterall letting your leader do Bad things isnt that different from a leader letting members do crimes for the sake of the orgs goal.

    In a vacuum, I don't think I'd particularly hold it against him that he ran away, because people are not always going to be capable of facing death with dignity in the middle of what basically appears to be the apocalypse. But with the additional knowledge that he's a creep with a dozen HR complaints against him, and a thief besides?

    Well. It does not make us feel charitable in our interpretation of him running away.

    ...Incidentally, there's a part of me that believes that Seraph might have 'pushed' Ete and Joules to feel the emotions they did in their interviews:

    It's not really guaranteed in any sense (that failed Espionage check could be something else), and in fact I could be barking up the wrong tree here, but the problem with there being a bad-faith-acting metahuman emotional manipulator around is this: it's plausible.

    If she did do that, it wouldn't even necessarily be all that wrong, if it was part of the explicit strategy regarding their interviews and if they agreed to it. And she might, for all we know, merely be enhancing emotions that are already there, so that it rings more genuinely, rather than creating them wholecloth. Manipulative, but if Ete and Joules knew and agreed to it, it'd be... well, more dishonest than anything else. It wouldn't be a true dick move.

    Of course, there is the possibility she did it without telling them, on White Hawk's orders... Again, she might not have done anything, but the well has been poisoned. We're in the territory of speculation and slander.

    I think, after the next update, I'll probably write a Heroes for Hire omake about people discussing Seraph. There's bound to be a lot of content regarding her, a lot of in-universe controversy on top of the above. Some paranoia, people being irrationally scared of telepaths, people being rationally scared of telepaths, some people who think she's probably great merely because she comes from Elysium and has a pretty face, some people who are negatively predisposed toward her not because of the telepathy but because of what Crusade is, and probably one or two people who just treat the whole thing like a circus.

    Who was Father Pious and why were there at least three of them? That name sounds kinda ominous.
     
    I think the ESP roll for Ronin if we had succeeded, would have just been her telling us "Seraph got swapped in over Starlight Knight, keep an eye out for telepathic tricks" that would give us bonuses to the rolls to keep our cool.

    Anyway, on another note, I might have a workable Yara cover: a mental block that JU helped her get over.

    She already looks like a shy, unconfident girl. She awakened powers moderately recently, but because of her father's influence and schemes, she felt like it was just parlor tricks. But now, thanks to JU helping her process her grief and build her confidence, she's realized her true potential.

    Among them being how did they get exposed to goldnine, who are the Supplicants (i guess the cult like team) and HOW did they made a third (I say Algernon)
