I find this legit alarming, if the Council is meddling with IEC operations down to the paintjob. Such a tweak won't always be this harmless, damn politicians! Hope this is not an omen of misery to come.
Bit odd considering the whole world isn't anarcho-communist, and I also thought that blue was for liberals? Or does blue being for liberals post-date the point of divergence here?Pretty sure it was just because this was a very publicized launch that was being shown on television, and the black and red are the colors of the anarcho-communist world polity.
Incorrect, we are using Methane, which has very different properties as a rocket fuel.
Work continued on the engine cycle study, and near the end of the quarter you received a visit from your engine team's representative, along with Korolev. They have settled onto a propellant, abundant and nearly free - methane.
That was later retconned when it was realized that methane wouldn't be feasible in the early '50s, AIUI.Incorrect, we are using Methane, which has very different properties as a rocket fuel.
Which update was that in?That was later retconned when it was realized that methane wouldn't be feasible in the early '50s, AIUI.
It's propane. That's what I put in the last update. I simply didn't go back and edit the old post.Incorrect, we are using Methane, which has very different properties as a rocket fuel.
I picked blue because green would be seen as too militaristic and the intent was to evoke the planet Earth, AKA the Blue Marble, etc. Sky's blue, sea's blue, the thing that's going above the sky is blue.Bit odd considering the whole world isn't anarcho-communist, and I also thought that blue was for liberals? Or does blue being for liberals post-date the point of divergence here?
My argument for not doing it was that if we start it, there's a possibility that the promise to perform propellant research will disappear - this is the same reason that I wasn't picking the Beijing [CHEM] research lab; I'd rather save it so we can promise it.Regardless, some fuel research is badly needed, and there's no better time than now.
True, but judging by how much things have improved even with us taking four dice,Every die we grab is less that goes towards reconstruction, increasing the overall budget of the world government. We're not able to keep maxing out our dice at a sustainable funding level (IMO, 1%). 1% of 50000 in the future is better to me than 1.5% of 32000 now. We're not in a rush.
