The "Donkey Kong Country" Areas (both game and island) are on the Congolese Coast, a good 50 Nautical miles from the shores.
Kremlin Island is also there, just Lower on the Equator.
All of the Kong Games have happened already. They have a pretty straightfoward timeline.

Movie Jason is just chilling at "their" camp. Some Creepypasta killers (read: Jeff and Nina) tried to assert themself there. They lost a limb each and were Litteraly folded like a chair. 2 teenagers against an Immortalish Adult, guess who won?
