Being a battle mage is where it's at. An elite wielder of the sword as well as a Jack of All trades and no weaknesses overall. I mean, being skilled enough to reliably deflect arrows on its own is great.

But still, the choices overall are very nicely written @Blackout

In WH terms, the Loremaster option is kinda the opposite of a Battle Mage, given that that's the term applied to wizards with Battle Magic, and we're not going to have any as a Loremaster.

we can always bump up from "dabbling" to any level above that in proficiency with practice. Being able to dunk on people academically, magically, and physically seems cool.
