Nope, I was wrong. We turned up while she was asleep and slept on top of her. She might've been taking a nap after school or it might've been a weekend, though.
 
I assume our new obasama (sama because punted Kyuubey) wouldn't have let Madoka miss school. I likewise take the blanket as a good sign. This was adorable, and Junko thought it was adorable. That said, de-catting her now is a good idea. Maybe de-cat self as well?

I've binged almost 500 pages of this in about a 24 hours. I think it's cured my cold.
My dog is the only thing keeping me from plunging into the insanity that is becoming a cat person
Truly, Doc's powers of cuteness abuse are frightening

Non-silly argument for decatting: monkeys imitate. Absent a practical/social/etc reason to be one or the other, taking the same shape as Madoka helps us fit better as a close companion for her. Also, it occurs to me that if all Madoka's friends are either magical girls or magical catgirls, she's the odd one out. But if her catgirl friend/sister lets her be either cat or not-cat alongside her, she's less the odd one out. Hopefully she's not much at risk of contracting, but gestures like this might help and it's probably a warm and fuzzy thing to do for the aforementioned reasons.
