Mauling Snarks (Worm) (Complete)

They ended up just enjoying each other's company for a bit,

Oh, =I= see what you're doing, finally!

You're trying to make poor Datcord TRIGGER, probably as a Tinker/Master combo!

--Dave, with a Tinker specialization of "shipping fanfics" and a Master power that affects the people who read them?

Aren't you supposed to '@' Our ~Lord of Shipping Charts and Scotch~ when you mention him by name?

One an unrelated note, I'm thinking a private Tinker workshop each, a joint Tinker workshop/grow room/greenhouse for joint biotinkery type projects that either could contribute to (since they can both have a greenhouse at home for the solo biotinker stuff) and a pet playroom/kennel kind of thing for Ackbar to enjoy in its' space?
Indeed, but I would make it a spider room instead, that way Amy can put her own spider in it too.

But overal...
Mmm, connect shaper with the Greenhouse and the PRT carbon generating plants room for maximum effect.
That should then allow a lot of fun.
I would if I was them, ad portal generation tech in each pocket space, to let them go from one to the other, if wanted.

What is desturbing me more is that those adaptors have slots for ten crystals, Amy is using up three, Taylor four (Akbar).
Why do I think they will get filled out, somehow???

I do think the Dallons should have gotten a family crystal adaptor for the hallway closet, so they could grap some stuff from their pocket closet, before leaving or getting things out when getting home.
Maybe one near where they put the landry room as well.
Would even let them ad the other New Wave members to them in order to allow emergency passage ways between the house, together with that intercom thing...
On that, can they somehow tie the intercom system to the pocket spaces???
Sure, they would probably need to tie in one or more intercom systems set to handel said pocket spaces, but if it can be done, then they suddenly can be reached while inside said pocket space by say, Danny or one of the others.
Mmm, could a home console help with that, by change?
Would hopefully include the new 3D holoprojector, so they could do some fun there.

Hey, thats a way to use one of the empty storage container rooms in Amy & Taylor their shared big pocket, a emergency command room (with family intercoms added)
Say, could they get some of the tech from those Vault guys?
Could help in hiding some of the stuff, like say potential emergency exits that you don't want hostile parahumans to figure out or so.
Heh, might be something for Taylor her room, considering how things are going in regards to bad guys getting into her room, by now.
I still think they should ask Vista if she can enlarge the basement at Taylor's house, a bit.
Perhaps the garage as well, with perhaps a way from the garage into the basement.

Is on Earth Aleph, Mad Max 5 out already?
Will Squeeler get a old and beaten up, first generation Beetle in Hurbie colors, to fix up???
Or perhaps having watched too many James Bond movies?
I think Squeeler & Bakuda together, should be able to create the Delorean Timemachine, you know.

As for fixing things up, what about a Big Boy???

Also, would a Bubblegum Crisis like Knight Sabers mercenary unit be around, somewhere?
The cover of being a shop for high quality female clothing articles...
Replace Boomers with Parahumans and...

I do kinda notice most of their stuff is for land based stuff, with some flying added in.
More city then anything else.
Can the girls get some underwater gear?
And I sooo hope on Amy & Taylor getting a mission to Pearl Harbour or maybe even Midway Atholl, you know.
I can see some great parahuman based reasons, there.

Didn't see this until earlier today so happy belated birthday.

Question seeing as it is my birthday would it be too much to ask to get Monday's chapter?

Being a generous person, here!

Oh, that was the story for Monday 10th June. If you wanted the one for Monday 17th June (i.e. early) you should have asked for it? :)

Also, Happy Birthday!

Indeed, but I would make it a spider room instead, that way Amy can put her own spider in it too.
I figured it is almost an inevitability that Rodney would eventually get upgraded with a power via Riley, get triggered by Taylor and therefore have its' own pocket dimension at some point in the future so it would be better to just make it Ackbar's room for now...

Today is my birthday

Sorry for the lateness in well-wishing, but happy belated birthday!

Also, mid-chapter, I got an idea:

In a PHO post, the Simurgh creates a "throwaway" account and says in the OP "This is a Simurgh Plot! You ever wonder what's going on with X, but not Y or Z?"

And then she just sits back and laughs maniacally about the chaos, because suddenly everyone is interested and curious about X Y and Z, thus fulfilling function, and because it's a "that's so stupid it could not possibly work!""Yet it did." "Nobody's gonna pay any attention to this if they know it's a plot.""Yet they did." Kinda Scenario.

As I recall, Earth Alliance called that "The Bonehead Maneuver" (no offence) (none taken) because doing so was suicide; only a White Star was fast enough to escape the blast radius.
You sure?

I thought it was a Bonehead Maneuver because it was pioneered during the Earth-Minbari War, by Earthlings, against the Boneheads aka Minbari.

EDIT: Well the wiki article does support Jacen1's claim.

So, just as a random thought, if a small Tinker's workshop is installed inside a tinker-shard's dimensional pocket space, will that make tinkering inside of it easier, harder, or have no effect?
That depends entirely on the tinker and whether or not the tinker workshop is in their own snark or not.

In particular, any tinker who generally relies on environmental factors to help them produce things will find they have a harder time in the incredibly uniform pocket dimensions while those that normally fight environmental factors will have a much easier time.
Why would they need to? Their crystals are embedded and they have those pistol-shaped portal openers. Is there any reason they can't just fire off a pistol inside one of their pocket spaces to make a portal to another one? Cause if they can (as I suspect) they have for all intents and purposes, increased the pocket space by 2 private rooms, one shared room separated from the main dimension plus one pet kennel for Ackbar. The fact it isn't the same pocket space kinda ceases having any meaning "Now You're Thinking With Portals" after all.
Firing a standard opening device inside of a pocket dimension, with or without a key crystal, will generally open the last portal into the pocket dimension back up, thus preventing opening portals between pocket dimensions entirely.

It's a safety feature.
So you want them to have the contents of their large pocket dimension?
I do think the Dallons should have gotten a family crystal adaptor for the hallway closet, so they could grap some stuff from their pocket closet, before leaving or getting things out when getting home.
The non-bedroom units don't have crystals but also don't need them, because they have finger-pads. Walk up to door, touch pad, open portal to your own pocket dimension. The installed crystals are only needed for letting someone else access the pocket dimension or to remote-trigger the opener from inside the pocket dimension. At least for Joey and those with embedded crystals, those who haven't gotten that service need installed crystals all the time.
On that, can they somehow tie the intercom system to the pocket spaces???

Given that cell phones work with Dragon's repeater systems I'm not sure that tying the intercoms in is needed.

When it came up in the show, Ivoniva was the one explaining the name, and after giving it turned to Lenneir and said "No Offence", to which he replied "None Taken". Thus the bits in parenthesis in my comment.

I have a weird memory some days.....

It lets you to tie the house intercoms into both the pocket dimensions and their phones.
Though a patrol/command console with hologram projector, might be wanted in order to do this better, if possible, one in each of the three families their houses.

With that I mean two for New Wave and one for the Heberts.
This would work nicely with Missy/Vista expending their basements a bit, so there is room for it.
That or giving each house a sub-console-station (repeater) and adding a console room to Amy/Taylor their joined main pocket dimension.
Which would let you tie in their house security systems as well, you know.
And thus ad in some aditional checks to counter hostile (parahuman) groups their antics, as a bonus.
