Mauling Snarks (Worm) (Complete)

and they couldn't eat to replenish energy. Not that they could eat to replenish energy

This sounds odd. Should this say something like "Not that they ever could eat to replenish energy"?

Wow Tay, I think that your newly combined snark has a much more pressing need to hit people now. Both you and Amy have been far too eager to hit people.

I think Amy was like this before she even got connected to Broadcast Administrator.

-Morgan, not entirely joking.

a Naruto fanfic reference

Truth be told, I want to see the reference myself. Got a link handy?

And while I see the Pixel reference, mostly through Tales From the Barman (the whole round-robin is there, but the link goes straight to the chapter where Pixel is mentioned), my first thought of an odd cat (disregarding Shroedinger's Cat) is that one metal one in a very short, Dead Ending Newborn God Quest here on SV. It's just a dead cat covered in liquid metal, but it obliterates the only "boss" enemy ever shown in-quest, and I loved it!

No, I will not go searching for that link.

Back on topic, happy to see that Alexandria got her eye back and is not, actually, time-stopped in this world.
Also, kinda sad that we're in the visible endgame. Not sure how said endgame will actually go, but only time and CmptrWz can show it. :)

...I was going to give the new chapter a Like right up until I got to the very final part. After that there was no way I was rating it anything but Hugs though.

Poor Fortuna. She definitely doesn't deserve that much trouble. In her place I would probably have seriously considered suicide.
(I highly suspect that Rin realized that and added an automatic suicide watch subpath, because she's that evil.)

Actually, as far as I understand the wording... doesn't it basically say that she'll have progressively ever more blind spots, most of them people she interacts with, with essentially the only (or, at least, by far the easiest) way to remove any being somehow making them part of her family?
In other words, after a year or so (possibly less than that) she'd basically be unable to path anything meaningful without moving to a different Earth. Which she might no longer be able to do either if Doormaker and/or Clairvoyant end up among her blind spots.

First the blind spots reset every month. Second being unable to path them doesn't mean that she can't simply ask them

... Tora? Is that a Naruto reference I spy?
Why yes, it is.

Nah, Amy just hasn't gotten the years of being the only one not punching people out of her system. ;)
Curiosity SAVED the cat!
Entities and Troubleshooters just don't get human sayings.
Okay if the tora reference is for a fanfic version of Tora/Naruto, I humbly request a link of such, because it sounds hilarious.
Generic fanon Tora, more than anything specific.
I can believe that the 30 second window determines the result, but can they adjust the temperatures so it's easier to get the correct one?
This is "goes from not cooked to not edible in 30 seconds".
This sounds odd. Should this say something like "Not that they ever could eat to replenish energy"?
ENGLISH! "They're not allowed to replenish energy that way and even if they were they're incapable of it" :p
I don't actually, but the story is Bondage Style by Chilord. The reference was to both Wrench Wraith's costume (an orange jumpsuit), and her last encounter with Skids (where she threw a buttplug at him, that being 'the best way to shut up an asshole').
That's the story for the buttplug. The jumpsuit is a generic Naruto reference (Bondage Style Naruto doesn't wear one, if I recall correctly).
Actually, as far as I understand the wording...
Outside of the "all the time" blindspots of the Entities and Troubleshooters, the rest of the blindspots are "until the next set are chosen".

Doesn't explain Taylor being more eager to hit idiots though. Initially it was just "Oh, hey, acceptable targets." But lately she's actually been upset that no idiots have jumped her.

If it had been Pixel, it would have been connected to Doormaker's shard (or at least Sophia's).
Pixel is definitely connected to Doormaker's shard. In "The Cat that Walks through Walls", one of the sentient computers actually caught a glimpse of Pixel going through the wall, and claimed a little door opened in front of Pixel and closed right afterward.

*Stares at Maverick, the amazing escaping ferret.* Huh. Maybe I need a camera.

Actually, doesn't have to be those two shards. There's probably any number of shards that could be used. Then again, we don't actually know what the cat's power is. So saying "it must be Doormaker's shard" is silly.

Hmm guess Taylor is feeling her urge to hit something. Is there any demolition jobs she and Amy can do to get that and get that urge to die down before they snap?

Well, you can take a Raspberry Pi, hook-up a camera module (8M pixel, IR-version available), install in a ferret-resistant container, and load-up software to do ferret watching... If you get fancy add pan/tilt/zoom capability (there's people who've done this)... And, confidently expect your ferret to evade all this. :)

why go to that hassle and expense when for $30-$40 you can get a trail camera and set it to video record the little bugger. SD card capacity would be your biggest issue there and even then funniest youtube videos are available to help cover the costs
