Yes he is.

However, I doubt you'll be able to hire him, he's both very expensive and hard to find.

Wrex joined Shepard for free, I'm sure we can get him somehow. Just have to earn his respect.

Finding him will be easy, I'm sure there is some info on the Extranet.

Two things Wrex wants, a good fight and cash. One of those we have an abundance of and the second we can manage.

The GM literally just told us that finding Wrex would be really hard and hiring him really expensive and since we're neither commander Shepard nor saving the galaxy I doubt he'll do this job for free. While having a Krogan battlemaster as a tutor would be really cool they're also one of the rarest types of biotics in the galaxy partially due to the overall low number of krogan remaining.

 I know GM ain't gonna compromise, but I still wanna rebuke this argument. Wrex joined Shepard for free due to respect and a good fight or to finish his job if you didn't kill fisk before meeting him. I highly doubt he believed Shepard about the universe being in danger due to reapers, at least until he had real proof.

Even if we can't get Wrex we can still get an Old Krogan Battlemaster to come in, most Battlemasters are biotics.

Anyway, that's all I have to say on the subject. Either we get a Krogan, an Asari or a Turian or Human, one of these will be what we get.

So we're gonna be attacked by pirates or whatever?

And we have advanced warning?

Wouldn't this be a great time to call the space police? Or atleast the SA military?

This seems like something they would like to know, the fact that one of their colony's is gonna be attacked?

He also joins because he wants to kill Saren.

Still if you have a good argument for why I should change something give it. I am not made of stone.

So much for warning in advance. : p
Well you will. Instead of me simply saying "oh there's a fleet coming towards you now, its about half way there, your ships are still partially in dock apart from one and those defences your purchased don't work, now you know they are coming have prepared and have sabotaged their ace.

There are 4 other colony worlds currently surviving in your cluster, with you making the fifth and only human one.

Roquibian- is a primarily Salarian world, although originally slated for Asari development. A world of striking natural beauty it was colonised, by a Salarian tourism mega corporation. While it is not rich in resources, it already has a stream of tourists, artists and dreamers going to it in order to get away from Citadel, or even Terminus systems. Initial contact with them was friendly, but you get the feeling that they were a bit quick on giving you tourism brochures.

Olmatsi- a joint Asari and Walking Jellyfish Hanar colony and currently the most important one in the cluster due to the presence of valuable prothean ruins. As such it receives large amounts of attention from both the Citadel and from Terminus. While you were welcomed with open arms (and tentacles) there are apparently significant issues in the colony due to tensions between the Asari researchers and the religious Hanar. They are the ones buying your small amount of animal bits.

Kappa Su- The previous youngest colony in your area, Kappa Su was founded by an Elcor Food Giant and apparently has been bubbling along ever since. According to the Matron there's some buzz about them as the colony is one of the first Elcor colonies so far from their space. Apparently they have opened up migration with the Systems Alliance already. The general reception you received was sleepy, if courteous.

Hogranis- The smallest world Hogranis is little more than a multi species research colony. Full scale colonisation is currently forbidden under council law, due to the world being a "young" world. Life is in its prehistoric stages and the whole world is a unique opportunity to study its emergence. Your reception here was quiet, but polite.

Kek.

A tourism world, an agrarian commercial concern, a bio-research colony, and a pilgrimage/prothean research colony. And then you have space hicks invading a deathworld for eezo mining and exotic creatures.

All our neighbors must on some level think we're batshit crazy.

I wonder how much of our plant and animal life has any unusual chemical properties that would be useful in medical or other scientific uses.

We're humans, that's our shtick :p. We're the race that invented space carriers because nobody else was insane enough to stick engines and life support on a hanger bay and call it a warship.

!&*@#!. and we crit failed the roll to set up the defenses too. on the other hand, we removed their bombardment capability via a crit success, and we don't have the shiny e zero plant setup, or much orbital industry built up. The most valuable thing here is likely those biotic kids, and without being able to bombard to force compliance they are likely going to have to come down here for them. Which runs into issues. This could be a whole lot worse, but it's likely still going to suck.

We need to lure them into the more dangerous parts of the caves, they don't know where we are yet. Let's use that to our advantage.

they know where we are. they had a man in the colony for months, we took out the beacon so they can't aim through the storm, but they know what cave to land at. Though I imagine doing so without beacons would be a bitch and a half.

Knowing a general location and knowing where we are are two different things altogether, our colony is still surrounded on all sides by a cavalcade of bullshit that would make a Krogen piss itself.

thats... a good point. It's not like they have gps and we got rid of their beacons, they may not be able to find our exact location very easily. Turn off the beacons and the storm could make pin pointing us tricky.

@Doomed Wombat would it be hard for the pirates to find our colony's exact location without the beacon? or are there enough surface installations and landmarks that they'll be able to find us in the perpetual linting storms without issue?

The First Assault: Part 1
The First Assault

Day -7

Getting further information from Johanis wasn't too difficult after his first break occurred, and while what he told you was disturbing it answered very few questions.

Although he admitted full culpability in selling the information that got the criminal groups to come to Perkwunos, the same groups that Tychas had shut down, he claimed that a secondary group had blackmailed him into releasing the information on the colony's defences, sabotaging them and planting the orbital transmitter. Apparently, around two months ago he received an encoded transmission with pictures of his mother and father, along with a threat that if he didn't cooperate they would be killed.

This doesn't help you too much as he doesn't know who is coming, but the transponder was of human design, very high-tech human design at that.

Thankfully you caught this in advance and sent out a distress signal to the other colonies in the area, but only Olmatsi gets back to you saying that they are en route. Kappa Su and Roquibian are apparently still massing their forces and Hogranis is a tiny research station si it can't practically contribute much.

You yourself get to organising the remaining defences, ensuring that everything is shipshape with practised ease.

The colonists are safely behind kinetic barriers, breaching charges are prepared in critical locations, entrances to the caverns are set up as fortified choke points, and your ships are present in orbit, albeit rushed out of dry-dock halfway through a maintenance cycle. Still, they're reporting that everything is reading nominal and that they're ready to fight.

It's a good thing you decided to rush this, as you only get a week to prepare. The SAM only just got back to you at the end of it, basically telling you to hang tight while they rushed a patrol your way.

Day 0

Not long after that, ten ships jumped into your system, an ugly hodgepodge of corvettes and frigates in differing styles. The worst news is definitely the large cruiser sized vessel sitting at the head of the fleet, seemingly of Turian origin, and the fact that the ramshackle force is gunning straight for the planet.

By comparison you only have two corvettes and a single frigate.

What's the plan, Commander?

Do you
[] Engage the ships, trying to cut down their numbers?
-[] Go to meet them.
-[] Wait in the asteroid field.
[] Stay close to the planet, but do not engage.
[] Write in

Current tactical situation: Terminus Raiding Fleet, lead by a Turian Cruiser. Heading towards you at full speed.
Enemy Composition
1 Cruiser
3 Frigates
6 Corvettes
Unknown number of pirates

Your composition
1 Frigate
2 Corvettes
5000 professional soldiers
200 ex-mercenary Asari (Volunteers)
Militia

Reinforcements from Olmantsi are three days away, reinforcements from Roquibian and Kappa Su are one week away, reinforcements from SAM are a week and a half away.

Once again thanks to @EternalStruggle
