The Zero finally casting a successful spell will definitely be a hot topic of discussion. I imagine this will light a fire under Louise's ass to burn the candle at both ends learning all the magic she can.

The Gamer has no silly class or talent limits. She can learn anything.

Even without the learning curve it gives, and her pre-existing theoretical knowledge, right now she's a mage who can learn absolutely any spell if given sufficient time. And whose willpower can grow without limit, right along with physical and mental stats. In short, a legend in the making.

And it's so very well written. :D

She could refuse if she wanted to and he would hold it against her.

Think this should be "would not".

Louise steeled herself and raised her wand. She grabbed a hold of that light inside of her and pushed into her wand. She visualized a flame, like on a candle's wick. Flick and, "Ketaz!"

Learned <Flame>!

Haha awesome. Well, that'll shake things up more than a little.

I hope that this will not be a fake-out (Louise simply has horrible luck after all.) But, her solid grasp of theory is about to payoff if so! I do wonder what the fallout of this for her will be though. Because Louise has been one of the most consistent jokes for the school for awhile, kids don't take shifts to status quo well, and terrible luck. Eh, still absolutely worth it. :)

And it looks like Kirche will even celebrate with her. The worst that could happen would be for her to hit a milestone and realize she has no one to celebrate with, besides the sword she just bought.

If she doesn't at least learn every cantrip by the end of the day through asking teachers to give her a quick lesson (it took about 3 seconds of instruction to teach her this one) she isn't doing it right.

She should, in theory, be able to teach herself.
Well, the difference between theory and practice? In theory, there's no difference.

Louise is... actually kinda sharp. However, her subscriptions of issues (both personal and those common to most local nobles) are something that may need a bit more work before she can start abusing The Gamer.

But, iunno.

Also, like everyone else, I had the same reaction.
