Similarly you could have a Square class mage who stacks Fire-Water-Earth-Wind but, as I understand it, a rather stupid idea. People stick to either one element or a combination of two because the more of the same element you stack together the more powerful it becomes.

So while a Fire-Water-Earth-Wind spell would be different it would likely be useless since each aspect is only dot strength. Meanwhile with something like Wind-Wind-Wind could create full on tornadoes and Wind-Water-Wind can create high speed ice javelins.

What makes Louise special, besides her ability to hit Pentagon rank, is that thanks to The Gamer she can grind up her skill fast enough to hit Square rank in all four of the regular elements. Which would give her outstanding versatility.
And also the ability to summon Captain Halkegenia single-handedly, instead of having to drag around Kirche, Tabitha and Guiche all the time.

Her wand was in her wand
A WITCH!

'Nother great one.

EDIT:
Interesting to note how the Gamer power can make completely non-lethal injuries an actual life risk. If you suffer enough of them.

No wound is completely non-lethal. Getting slugged in the head like that can be very dangerous. Gamer's Body probably removes any chance of a concussion or brain injury, so it would actually be safer.

People keep on assuming that 0 HP means death. It could very well be that if the fight isn't to the death, 0 HP is like 0 HP in Pokemon where you faint.

How does the system determine whether the fight is to the death though?

Even if it has a system to do so, I'd assume that the system has something to separate to-the-death engagements from non-lethal ones, much like how games have systems specifically for dueling and such.

Accidental prick by a completely clean sewing needle that doesn't go beyond breaking the skin.

There, a completely non-lethal wound.
Critical failure, you scream bloody murder and jam it into a good vein.
/Sarcasm
Would Gamer's Body count that as a wound sufficient to remove HP? I'm fairly certain that it's not that sensitive, and that whatever entity is behind the ability (assuming it's not just straight-up Gaia or the Void) doesn't hate Louise that much.

Depends on the game, I guess.

By context. Maybe reading the intentions of the other person. Maybe by whether or not the fight would end in a lethal manner if Louise never had the Gamer or Gamer's Body in the first place. Keep in mind we're dealing with something that probably at least warps reality, if it even has an in-story explanation, so it wouldn't be illogical for the Gamer program to be pseudo-sentient.

So, how likely is it that Sebastian will be able to track Louise back to her family? Less than if he knew her mother, and he almost assuredly doesn't because dang, Louise couldn't look more like her if she tried! So, what is he likely to do if he finds out who Louise is, and what is he likely to do if he can't?
More likely she will mention him to Cattleya who will mention it to parents, and then Karin will come to him to check on Louise discreetly.
Actually, how the Gamer's Body works is entirely up to me.
And that's good.

Aye! They just uploaded LINKS TO MANGA SCANLATIONS ARE NOT ALLOWED PER CC.III.1.6, Fernandel of the translated version today!

I know that, I was just explaining the canon interpretation of it.
I'm not sure, but I think the mod's don't like scanelations being directly linked? Scanelations are a breach of copyright law, even if it generally goes unenforced.

Read through the whole manga. Couple of things I gleaned:

Gamer's Mind

It does not blunt all your emotions. Instead, the effect is that you stay cool in combat. Outside of battles, Jee-Han felt scared just fine, like when he went on a date with the sick girl and the father was watching;
More sinisterly, killing becomes less of an issue. Your morals and restraint are intact, you can feel appalled that you're not feeling more but the instinctive revulsion most people feel against killing an enemy isn't there.

Gamer's Body
The body takes visible injuries - Jee-Han was shot while under the effect of a body-strengthening skill, and it left a red mark/abrasion;
Stamina points (SP) and fatigue are mentioned, if not displayed on his status, and he gets tired like a normal person. Vitality may be the determining factor as to how many SP he has and how quickly he recovers (of course, then he learns massage, which reduces fatigue).

Combat for a gamer
Critical hits and headshots were a thing, at least in the start;
There's also poison and curse effects;
Opponents are considered to have normal anatomy for the purposes of damage. Blowing legs off is totally viable;
Buffing magic causes icons representing the spells to appear above the Gamer's head;
Weapons can take damage when wielded by the Gamer. Same goes for clothing;
Wizard is so the way to go if you have access to the Abyss Auction. Jee-Han even mentions D&D, the origin of 'linear warriors, quadratic wizards'.

Magic Systems
There's many routes to power - ki manipulation, alchemy, life magic, elemental magics, contract magic with elemental spirits and demons... basically anything goes;
They are still all considered to follow some approximation of conservation of energy - except the Gamer, who can truly create something from nothing with his item drops;
The Gamer, until he found a teacher for dualcasting, could only cast one spell at a time. At least, that was the author's explanation for not using Life Drain, a continuous spell.

Miscellaneous
The Abyss Auction is full of very, very scary people. Not only do they deal in human trafficking and slaves, they also modernised the black market by killing off their competitors.

warning Heads up, folks! I'd like to remind you all of our rules regarding copyright infringement, specifically CC.III.1.6:

Things that may fall under this section include, but are not limited to:
[...]

Copyright infringement, including links to things that are infringements of copyright, such as scans of manga, game torrents, and so on.
Considering this was most likely done out of mere ignorance of the rules and no malice, I merely edited out the link. If this happens again, however, infractions will follow. Thank you for your understanding, and enjoy this story!

But it's not a manga, it's a webcomic, accessible for free (though this isn't the officiel translation; the official one is found on webtoons.com), though yes, the website linked has scanned mangas so if the "two links" rule apply like for NSFW content it's bad.

Not contesting, just curious about how the rule apply in that case, since there are plenty of cool korean webcomics.

So... is linking the official (free) translation ok? Is linking another one ok too or not?

And yes, it's probably not the right thread for that, but I'm not sure where it should go, feel free to relocate this post if there's a correct place for it.
