Dude, it says if the post is the OP or not before it ever gives you the link.

Gah, it has been to long the details are blurry. Is this the one where she doesn't know/use a lot of what the gamer can do because of video games and video game tropes are foreign to her culture?
Gosh, really? I had absolutely no idea that was a thing! [Sarcasm with the consistency of honey] I didn't see the update through SV first. I got a mail, which only said "New Reply to watched thread" and then the name of the thread and poster. And since this has been dead for a while, i couldn't remember the OP's name. So i hoped that it was a new post. Turns out it wasn't.

Anyway, yes. This is that Gamer. She doesn't know anything about videogames or RPG's, so she doesn't know about most of the basic things.

Joseph = First person shooter
Vittorio = Mon games
Louise = RPG, obviously

There was actually a conversation over at SB relatively recently about the concept, and it was concluded that Joseph actually has the power of Princess Maker (specifically, this take on it). His target is, of course, Tabitha.

It's not that he hates her and wishes her death, he honestly tries to do good by her and make her the best person she can be. It's that, well, it's Joseph Shinkicker, not the best choice to raise a child (especially after the trauma induced by playing Long Live the Queen with Tabitha's mother).

He really tries, though.

Joseph: Sheffield!

Sheffield: What is it now?

Joseph: I just realized a terrible thing! Tabitha literally has zero score in Conversation and other social skills!

Sheffield: Well, you did insist that she do nothing but slay monsters and learn combat and magic since she was eleven. That probably has something to do with it.

Joseph: Hey, it worked! Those magic lessons aren't cheap, you know? And we can spend only five hundreds coins on her per year for... some reason. Did you find out where all of our taxes go?

Sheffield: Yes, sir, your pills.

Joseph: Purple are my favorite! Anyway, be it as it may, I've found a solution to our problem!

Sheffield: Dare I ask what it would be?

Joseph: Oh, it's simple, really! We just have Tabitha work in my favorite bar for a few months. Maybe a year.

Sheffield: You mean that bar with weird fumes?

Joseph: I always feel giddy after visiting it, and I think Tabitha can stand to smile more.

Sheffield: *sigh* Alright, I'll make changes to the schedule.

Now, Vittorio I would pin as an RTS type of guy. He already summons tanks out of nowhere, after all. Now he probably has to throw raw materials into the portal firs, though. He also constantly hears mysterious voices telling him "we require more minerals."

Poor Tiffania is relegated to what, in this paradigm exactly?

Darkest Dungeon, duh.

She can grant her orphans basic proficiency in a number of classes and send them to rampage across the country and gather loot. They tend to die a lot, but there is always more orphans (mostly because the old ones make them, granted).

Gathered loot goes into upgrading the orphanage and building a few facilities, like asylum.

Is it? I mean, nobody on either side of the fence is right regarding the matter of the oncoming windstone crisis. But the elves do have a pretty good reason to be pricks to humans, what with humanities repeated genocide attempts.

ALL HAIL QUEEN TIFFANIA!

RTS games of course.
We need a WH40K cross so the elves can be told why humans may have problems with them (Primarch Brimir?)

FTFY.

I can't wait for when Luise figures out that skillpoints ar a thing

Um, do you mean stat points? If my math is correct, she should have saved up about 5 stat points to assign at her leisure. Skill points are earned through the practise of skill, while stat points can be increased through training, leveling, or through special occasions.

Yeah, that. But aren't they actually called "skill" points in the manhwa? (Maybe I'm remebering it wrong), I remembering finding it weird.

So... Was it ever decided that this wouldn't see a continuation? Because, as shaky (and not to mention short) as the first chapters were, the story is solid. I wouldn't mind having a new chapter to read every now and again.

Having Louise have to try and figure everything out from the ground up is refreshing to me, and I'd love to see what happens when she gets over the damn tutorial and finally starts improving her stats and abilities in earnest (like mentioned before, I'm fully expecting distributable points to be a thing).

Apologies for reviving a discussion 4 years dead, but here's hoping?

I think the problem was that there wasn't really any great plans for the future. The tutorial was the whole point of the story. Now that it's done... there are one or two high points to hit, but not a lot of meat to make a story out of it.

One thing I wanna see is someone explaining that the difference between games and real life is that games are fair.

Don't think the author has written a story post in any of her threads for about 4 years now. Might be time to move on and stop hoping.

It would be a very rare chance if they actually come back to this. Too much time has past.

Eh I don't know

I've seen fanfics revive after almost a decade in hiatus

A guy can hope
Yeah, I've seen it twice, in a quarter century. Three times if 8 years is close enough.
Hearts of Ice was finished (10 year hiatus), Sailor Moon Z was finished (8 year hiatus), and I'm drawing a blank on the third one but I know there was another that revived after 10 years and was finished.
Although Realizations by Wishweaver was dormant for almost a decade as well before being revived on AO3 (it was on FF.NET. I don't think AO3 existed when the fic was started).

Probably Children of an Elder God, it's the same writer as Sailor Moon Z and it finished after about a decade hiatus.
