Mafio Party

So at this point we pretty much can assume there's lies going down, I think.

[X] Lynch Joebobjoe

Gimme a reason not to lynch you, @Joebobjoe. You and LMBF are the only ones not openly claiming an at least vaguely plausible power.

I pretty much agree with this however I would like to mention that Derpmind has only claimed NPC yet seemed adamant to act as though my requests for some things didn't exist and ignore them. With Rem at the very least he gave us flavor and a power...its very iffy but at the same time I feel he has had very little that he can provide in terms of info for his role. However Derpmind seems to pop in, throw something in out of context, and then disappear for a long while. Anyone else finding that weird?

The one saving grace for Derpmind is he was the first to raise the idea that NPCs existed. Given the clearly informed scum, that doesn't prove he is one, but he did claim it.

I'm hoping to have Rem verified one way or another by the night, given investigatives.

Day 3 Final Stretch Warning
As the participants race around the track some zooming past looking for any visual, others move slow taking in any and all hints to the location of their prize. The crowd watches on their occasionally wobbling screens as the strength slowly fades from the arms of the fishing lakitu who have begun a sort of rotating field of them to rest their little arms. The announcer knows all and watches the game always listening in on their discussion, he withdraws a microphone and begins to speak filling the ears of the competitors.

"Let it be clear that @QTesseract is currently selected as the least sportsman of the candidates at 6 votes, with @Joebobjoe being found the second most suspect at 2 votes, both heading towards being booted from the competition for their actions. However @MedievalParadox and @Derpmind are at 1 vote each nearing the threshold of being the second most suspect and thus the 2nd person eliminated from this double event. There is less than 24 hours remaining in this decision."

I want to know his power. Now. And if it isn't provable, we lynch him soon. Bottom line.

(I'm pushing this really hard. But that's because Q is scum, and if we don't lynch Q today, I know we never will.)

I Grant Daisy is a weak cop.... sort of. I would like you to keep in mind that we also have a jailer, who can function as an investigative role as well as a protective one (as we've seen). So honestly we already have two cops in a matter of speaking, or at the very least 1.5. If the jailer comes out and claims to have protected somebody, free hit. We have a potentially CPU that can confirm themselves to multiple people, thereby giving Daisy a confirmed town to use her powers on, getting at least one sure hit, which can then be built on in the future. We also have masons. These are people Daisy can use her power on, even if just one claims that's another free hit. We have a multivoter, which is an easily confirmable role and absolutely is not a role scum would have. It can also derail late bandwagons that are either clearly lead by scum or are going horribly wrong. Another free hit. We have transporter, which while one of the least easy to confirm roles, isn't impossible either, depending on what roles are out. It can also, depending on how its used, confirm other incidental people's roles, as we saw. Actually I think it could synergize with Peach incredibly well if I recall how the ability works. And so another possible hit. We don't know Derp's power at all (we probably should find out and he really should stop lurking). That could be easy to confirm, though he's an NPC. Another possible hit. Also, though I admit that it's a biiiit of a stretch to say the least... it IS true that a Medium would make perfect sense in this game and is easily confirmable in a situation aside from ours where everything goes wonky. Another possible hit. NPC hits sound incredibly weak, but I can easily see scum claiming NPC as an emergency measure. We also have a Doctor, who is also not a very confirmable role but it's certainly possible. He can protect Daisy regardless, which is a benefit, though the jailer can too.

Daisy both has decently solid methods of protection, and CAN actually get hits with not as much difficulty as you seem to think.

We also have 1.5 cops at least, 1.5 docs, an auto-confirmable role, an easily confirmable role that could be a godsend at deadlines, a redirector which, as we saw, can be kind of broken if it gets lucky. We may have a neutral medium, something that can be very useful to have. We have masons. We're adding an alignment and role cop to that?

We still haven't seen signs of massive scum power. We have the events, which even Q agrees might not strictly be scum and not too much else heavily overwhelming, despite Q's attempts to sell them up. The NPCs seem to hurt the scum more than they help. Heck, see how the scum are kind of getting steamrolled here, and the rolecop has had one clear which was covered by our other cop anyway? I really am not seeing its need to provide balance.

Keep in mind also how many of these roles are pretty exclusive to town. Scum Mason? Scum Letter Sender? Scum Jailer? Scum Obscure Weird Weak Cop? Scum Multivoter? Overall our roles are ones that aren't easily flipped over to the scum end. The exception is the Doctor, but a Doctor is both necessary for town and I don't see many Scum Doctors around. Heck, Scum Medium? Rolecop is, I would argue, basically one of the first roles that easily fits scum just as easily as it fits town. Which makes it work great for a scumclaim.

The one saving grace for Derpmind is he was the first to raise the idea that NPCs existed. Given the clearly informed scum, that doesn't prove he is one, but he did claim it.

I want a power claim from Derp before the day is over. He played it scummy, he played it cagey, and now he's lurking. We need the full story.

I don't agree with you on a lot of these specifics...

We have a multivoter, which is an easily confirmable role and absolutely is not a role scum would have

Hung Gate had that in The Stars Are Right. Admittedly a weird game. But still.

Perfectly valid for scum, even if a roleblocker is more normal.

We had that before, silly as it sounds. Copying the text from it:

Article:
Always second fiddle. Always in charge of all the hard work. It felt like the Pres was good for nothing but delegating. Well, he couldn't delegate himself into here, could he? Someone recognized all that hard, hard work you'd been doing, and that's really all you wanted. To be reward, to be appreciated, to be...noticed at all. You won't let them down.

You are a member of the Student Council, and fill people with Despair. You win when only the Student Council remains. Please note that the Student Council, as a team, can only kill one person per Night phase.

Powers:
Communication: You can communicate with other Student Council members here.
Night Kill: You may eliminate a single player each Night phase. Your kill flavor is [Made An Example].
Overseer: As Vice President, you are in charge of making sure all student organizations are compliant with the rules. As such, you have access to [The Clubroom] and [The Chatboard]. Use it wisely.

This was actually in the first game on the site. A scum with access to the mason chats who managed to get town to believe they were town by getting the one of the masons to believe they were a mason member.

Scum medium waaay back in Mahou Shoujo Mafia Madness

However.

I agree on Derpmind.

@Derpmind. Claim or die. I can make you dead all by myself if I need to. Don't need any help to lynch you.

At the moment we're pretty solid on Q so I'm going to

[X] Null QTesseract

[X] Lynch Derpmind

And following that this is my main analysis:

Maybe it's just me, but I don't really get it. So far the only concrete proof that Winged Cat could be scum is posting the Town Faction's name/color, which is something possibly anyone in the game could have done. And in response a few of the players that I've noticed are often prolific and influential are agreeing with each other to lynch Winged Cat and also seem super seriously ticked off at him. I guess the logical explanation is that these veteran players are seeing something I'm not, or that they're just putting the pressure on to try and get a roleclaim?

Primary point here is that he says, and even emphasizes the fact that anyone could have revealed the towns name/color. However if he was an NPC all this time then this statement really doens't make sense...since you likely wouldn't know anyone's colors other than your own beforehand right? Unless we have Informed Third-Party which frankly just sounds super weird and off.

I've only made one post "coordinating" with Winged Cat. Sure, I agree with him on a discussion that doesn't really belong in the game itself, but that's only one (or two counting this) post compared to all the ones Winged Cat has been making.

I'm not putting this here to argue why you defended him, in earnest defending over principle is pretty reasonable so lets leave it at that, however you do mention something...you only posted twice in a lengthily period both of which did come to his defense...which feels odd considering the context of what you put down. Isn't much here but worth noting, moving on.

Well, that's a turnaround. (I seriously expected to be voting for Rikimaru right now.) Only six hours left and things have been moving fast as usual. And they'll probbly keep moving after I go to sleep tonight.

This post threw me off...I don't get the point in it, you obviously were paying attention all the way up to that point otherwise you wouldn't have said you expected the current wagon to be directed at Rikimaru...but you didn't contribute anything of value...more on this to be compiled.

I'm an NPC. My goal is to survive till the end of the game. I also have a power, but I don't wanna say what it is, obviously.

This is the post immediately after I called out that you weren't the same alignment as Terramind...and arguably your fastest post response in this game. I'll grant for a bit you were spared immediate suspicions because of BB's Miller claim, which proved that NPC's exist. But at this point there is AT LEAST one more NPC in this game (Honestly feeling like its rem...even though sus is on him too). But...since then even after I believe three posts(Two had a poke directly at you) and yet you didn't respond at all.

So, just checking in to say I'm still here, and I still don't really have much to talk about. (Well, I'm much more inclined to believe NPC claims, but that's it.) Also, I've managed to still not reveal my character or power, which I think is an improvement over my previous games.

You don't have much to talk about? No analysis, no talk of suspicion, nothing beneficial to the discussion at all! And an odd comment that your more inclined to believe NPC claims? Wait what? But you yourself are an NPC supposedly yet your only only now more inclined for it? And confirmation that you ignored requests under suspicion...

Pretty sure I got switched last night. (Floated off in a bubble, apparently.) So unless we have two transporters, I was swapped with Terrabrand?

As usual, I don't have anything to add to anyone else's analysis stuff. (What else is there to say after all that?) This game continues to be weird, with two players being lynched today instead of one. Do we even want to try to pick two targets? Yesterday no one voted to lynch, so it's likely we can manage to all vote for one target instead of two today. That said, going along with the argument that it's better to lynch someone than not to, it might be worth trying to pick two likely mafia targets and lynch both of them.

[X] Lynch QTesseract

Lets see what QTesseract has to say.

THE ONLY POST WITH VALUE...and its really just confirming something that was bound to be confirmed in the long run...but...you don't have anything to add? Why? Personal thoughts and suspicions matter in helping determine scum and non-scum...so far your personal thoughts have shown you really don't want to help town out and rather stay as this ambiguous sideline....not gonna fly. You have done 0 scum hunting, 0 analysis, and have provided very marginal information for everyone. Even if your claim is 100% legitimate, you haven't helped find and eliminate scum during the day...and as it stands, that is as good as helping or being scum too.

Final thoughts: Your Shady, Suspicious, and lurky. I've got a high scum read on you right now and want closure.

So, like, with all due respect to Q and Nictis, at this point I think this debate is us just kinda screaming at each other and changing no one's mind- obviously I'm not going to convince Q he's scum and Nictis clearly has his read and he's sticking to it, as-is his right. I'm sorry to realize this after tossing a somewhat effort post at you Nictis, but I also kind am operating under a limited timeframe; I'm going to be gone mid-afternoon tomorrow, the day ends tomorrow night, and it's 2 in the morning. I really do want to get some analysis done, and I feel like my arguments have been made clear and if people agree they agree, if they don't they don't, you know?

(Screaming is an exaggeration of course, but you get what I mean)

Derpmind pressure is good, but I kind of want a claim more than a lynch really, for the record. I do believe Derp is an NPC, and I'd much rather a scumlynch than an NPC lynch; a lurking mostly unhelpful NPC is one that isn't heavily screwing with us during the day, you know? That's a plus.

So, I more or less believe Pawn's claim so that knocks him off my list, at least until I have really good reason to put him back on. Damn. In fairness it means the list is lessening and the noose is tightening. I think good targets would be LMBF-joebobjoe-Rem for the first batch.

If he has a compelling claim, a believable and preferably provable one, I let him off.

But I'm deadly serious about forcing his lynch if he refuses to claim.

I agree with most of the points. What I am looking for is a claim, something concrete and yeah, LMBF/Joebobjoe are my secondaries. In regards to QT...I've got a lot of mixed feelings. On one hand I think his claim is legitimate...on the other I feel like its constructed hastily...partially for reasons already explained but It's whats on my mind. If derpmind can give me a solid and belivable claim, then I'm in the same track with terra and you respectively and will pursue one of those two next, honestly I want to pursue Joebob since he has claimed he has a power, but seems hyper ambiguous on this. But first we'll need Derpmind to speak up before I can feel comfortable moving on.

[X] Lynch Joebobjoe

Gimme a reason not to lynch you, @Joebobjoe. You and LMBF are the only ones not openly claiming an at least vaguely plausible power.
That's because I have a completely implausible power. I'm Kamek, I hand out one use magic items to other players. What do they do? No clue, just that they're one use and presumably take up a night action.

Tried to throw Rikimaru a bone (dice) night one, we all know how that turned out. Second one I'm reasonably certain got through, but would rather not out just yet. They can confirm me day three when they've had an actual chance to use the item I gave them. Notably for some reason got absolutely nothing indicating the whole mess of jailer, transporter, and night kill around Rikimaru. So I might be pro and have somehow delivered the dice despite all that, or I might just be a shortsighted old Koopa who couldn't notice anything. I'd say ask Archeo, but there's a rather clear problem getting an unconfirmed Medium to ask a scum to collaborate my claims.

I'm not gonna make a big deal of it, but I haven't been posting much because I just genuinely do not enjoy the huge amounts of analysis made in these Mafia games, especially with so many players all with different roles. I've tried to keep up with it, and it's just not enjoyable for me.

I'm Toadsworth. I'm "The True Announcer", with a goal of surviving till the end of the game to regain my title as announcer in future games. I win by surviving till the end. Each night, I can anonymously add an up-to 300 character message at the end of the day post. Which is not exactly very useful, but I was hopeful that I'd get something useful to pass along. But I didn't, and so now the power is useless. (Yeah, the message I made looks stupid, but at least it doesn't look like my style of writing.)

So uh. Given we have someone else protected, that throws my ironclad animosity towards QTesseract into doubt.

And now that I'm actually looking at his claim, like... BB's occasional quirks in the arguments seem a bit off with that, to me. This is where I'd edit my notes if I had enough time in this game to take them, but right now, I just want to propose a theory that popped into my head, and those who are able to go over posts/check notes can give their thoughts on the likelihood.

NPC is third party, not survivor. Probably includes one or two, but... Well. Executioner Bowser.
They can confirm me day three
but it is day three tho

Did you mean start of day announcement? Hmm...Seeing no counter-claim to this...this was the only power I could see you claiming legitimately and with that thought in mind. I had speculated your night power to be the announcement we got and unless anyone refutes your claim...I believe it.

Joebobjoe has revealed his role...by the looks of it we need someone to confirm that they got the item? @Joebobjoe does your power say if they are notified of when the receive the item or not? And if so when are they notified? I would assume night action result PM's...as Riki who is vanilla received a message regarding his jail, however magic works weird, could you also give us the flavor, it would go a long way to clearing your name if you are innocent...and...are you CPU or NPC? Or are you PC?(Cause your totally going to claim PC right? XD)

At the moment...the singular person who has yet to claim anything is LMBF! At this point hiding a claim as the last man isn't a good idea. Obviously someone in the group is lying about something, I'm inclined to believe Rem for the time being...which keeps my main suspicion upon QT unfortunately for him.

[X] Null Derpmind

[X] Lynch Letmebefree

I still feel like we're missing something however so if anyone has major gut feelings or similar strange feelings please reassure me.

CPU, presumably notified start of day because it's a new thing that they can choose to use the following night. Believe they get to know what the power is, but I'm uncertain and it doesn't explicitly say. Can't even give the same item multiple times. Considering the vanillas both claimed Bowser minion species I'd assume that the rough intent from a design perspective is handing it off to them. As I attempted Night One.

Well after questioning whether or not to claim earlier.

I wanted to but as pawn said earlier my "coach" said to wait and see but now I shall finally claim.

I'm browser jr I have a chat with bb since we share a castle and that I am protected from night kills by the guards.

...

The coach bit was meant to imply you as mafia with a coach helping you out.

You should have not mentioned the mason chat at all.

Also, either of you have an actual power? Just say yes or no, no need to say what it is atm.
