[X] Slow and Steady
Martial:
----------
-[X] Exercise, increase your strength, speed, and stamina, DC 35

This action will most likely lower e other physical martial options because a healthy body is the foundation of all physical skills.
Diplomacy:
---------------
-[X] Try to get closer to Father. He always seems to like Thor more, and it's not fair. DC 50

Odin is the king and almost everything we can do will be gated behind him. He can either make things easier or harder.

Stewardship:
--------------------
-[X] Request Lessons from the Instructor on finance and how to run the kingdom. Surely he'd listen! DC 45

I would rather study with Odin but i wish to build up our stats before attempting it, so plying it safe.
Intrigue:
--------------
-[X] Study the classmates you don't know. Get the full rest of the picture. DC 15
Want more info on who to trust, Thor is a brute in Lokis mind because of the beat down story wise he would like to find a more intellectual friend.
Learning:
-------------
-[X] Pay extra attention to your Classes and try to excel! DC 15
Trying to lower the DC of learning based activities, and a very safe option.
Personal:
-------------
-[X] There was...something in you. You could feel it. Try to tap into that. DC, ??
Want to start magic as early as possible, maybe open up more options.

For the bigger options even socialization we need better stats and we should start small and build up instead of high risk high reward actions. Remember slow and steady won the race.

Why would that lower the DC? That action seems more about gaining learning stat, not a skill that lowers DC.

Anyway, about you issue of how math leads to magical blacksmithing, math would probably lower DC on learning science skill because math is a part of science.

The Qm said it depends on what Loki is doing during blacksmithing, so the math skill might or might not help. Why do we want to study science? Last game we only had one trait and we still made nanites through just having a large learning stat.
The reason why paying attention in school would help learning actions is that it is general education which is a little bit of everything. Remember in the last quest general education gave a flat bonus to learning.

We should be making friends, fear that we're going to make a bad friend is so foolish, we're 6... so we should make a friend. It's realistic, fears that we're going to "activate" someone bad is unfounded in this reality and just bringing baggage from the last reality, lets not do that. K thanks.

Thor just bullied him and Sif most likely going to do the same because she likes martial.
Edit: Loki is a baby that needs to toughen up. Also remeber Loki has an inferiority complex thanks to dad and Thor, so it makes perfect sense he carefully picks his friends.

More reason to more towards interacting outside of the family, honestly. Loki isn't a baby he just got beat up because he took a fight he shouldn't have. And we don't even have to interact with Sif... we have that whole class WITH OCs to interact with... let things happen don't stifle Loki's growth and make him into a recluse.

Okay consider this.

Math as a skill may not reduce DC of a specific crafting attempt...

BUT: having the math skill could reduce DC of learning skills that do reduce DC of blacksmithing.

Learning math now would give us a reduction in DC in the long run.

Sif is martially inclined like Thor so she will share the same opinion. Thor thinks he is a baby because he is bad martially.

Edit: We can say this about general education considering it has math in it. @Nystical

Why do you assume our first friend will be Sif instead of any of the other options?
I meant her as an example that some may not be predisposed to Loki because of his position, goals or condition(stats). I just want to make sure that who ever we get into bed with will be a long time friend. Remember how hard it was to convince people to drop Amora because she was his childhood friend until eventually it erupted in our faces.

I said what I said because I wanted to confirm you understood the concept that even if math doesn't reduce the DC of making a specific thing years from now, it would reduce DC for learning other skills that are important along the way.

Do you understand this concept, yes or no?

Again if your using that logic then general education would be better at it. Since it covers a wide variety of topics and not just specialize in a few.

You have to realize that even Sif probably doesn't have stats much higher than we do. In theory (and especially with a d100 roll being involved) we could easy win a spar against her, to get some amiable relations. And yeah of course some people are not going to be perfect interactions but that doesn't mean we shouldn't try to make friends. Like... I don't want to play the character that has to vet every individual that they interact with because of fear of encountering a bad interaction, that is as you have put it "being a baby."

I didn't put it that way, Thor called us a baby and I was making an example based on what martially inclined characters would think if they know about the incident. They might just leave and talk to Thor because they don't hold the same interests
Also the concept is being cautious not being a baby. Otherwise scientist would ignore safety requirements all the time. Kids would ignore there parents etc.
Another thing your ignoring is this is a quest any decision we make will have consequences that a normal person would walk away from but we won't because we don't have all the context and can't make up our minds.

So you are relating a 6-year-old not vetting other 6-year-olds before talking to them as the same as a scientist shirking safety procedure? These are not related or anywhere near equivalent. And children do ignore their parents extremely often, they are children... I'm honestly flabbergasted at these false equivalences.

What you are forgetting is we are a 6-year-old... we should act like one.

your literally nailing the problem, people ARN'T trying to act like a 6-year old

Ok ill just put a 6yr old on the quest he will be a proper 6 yr old. Besides your saying he is vetting but he is only observing others to help him define himself.

Vetting: investigate (someone) thoroughly, especially in order to ensure that they are suitable for a job requiring secrecy, loyalty, or trustworthiness.
by definition Loki is vetting
Did the quest say he was vetting or did you say it, you can assign any reason to any action and make it acceptable for a 6yr old to do it otherwise it wouldn't be there.

I think the quest said it.
What i am thinking is we cant decide whats normal and whats not normal for an Asguardian 6yr old because of different race or culture. By time the MCU comes around to modern day Thor doesnt act like a 100 yrs old. In different regions even in real life 6yr olds are doing different things from other cultures. In the MCU Tony Stark builds a circuit board when he was that young and only gets friends when he is in double digits, and Thor is learning how to fight. If you use that as an excuse Loki shouldnt be learning about economics, magic, fighting, or any intrigue this soon. So what age is it alright for loki to sneak to the commoners area of Asguard because he is a unsupervised 6yrdold.

Edit: what is the narrative reasons Loki is vetting his friends? @KnowledgeKing

You say could but you are not being very specific. Could could be anything and even then just because it reduces the DC of things related to blacksmithing doesn't mean that that it just wouldn't be better to specialize in smithing itself since it seems more productive then wasting a lot of time on a subject that would just help with specific things rather than general making it a situational stat that may not even see that much use if we don't end up making things that require it.

Feels like people just made their decision based on an assumption, didn't bother to check just what the specifics are and just didn't think this through considering the holes that keeps getting poked in the idea.
Math might also open up a number magic branch
We talked about this and the general agreement was that we should avoid spreading out too much like last quest. Just because we can learn a specific magic doesn't mean we need to since there could be dozens of different kinds of magic we can pick up and not thinking things through would just lead to being spread out again.
