Roman is one of the best villians ever. XD But I understand it Darkking, I have problems, too, working such things out.

Ok, no idea how I am fucking this up, but it's being fucked up. Hate myself so much right now.

Not a problem, working with accordions is difficult at first. Neo is correct now.

Will put them both in limbo for now until I can work through those sheets.

  • [X] Plan Something Fishy
-[X] First things first, fly up and prepare to evade.
-[X] Ask the Queen of Darkness if she intends to attack us now, and whether it won't be a violation of rules. Can't we all get along?
-[X] If she persists and tries to attack, Rico tries to burn through the chained ceiling, while Eva casts Soothing Moonlight on everything (target-by-level - SO useful) to see if anything happens.
-[X] If nothing useful happens, go to the default response of burning the queen with fire. Reserve the boost for defense just in case. Eva should see about keeping us all healed in the meantime.
-[X] Most importantly: Don't let Queen of Darkness separate you.
[X] Plan Let There Be Light
    -[X] Stick close together.
-[X] If she is close, do a combined melee attack to knock her back.
-[X] If there is space, use Scorching Sunlight, then rush her in melee.
[X] Plan Let There Be Light
    -[X] Stick close together.
-[X] If she is close, do a combined melee attack to knock her back.
-[X] If there is space, use Scorching Sunlight, then rush her in melee.
-[X] Try to take her down without killing her
[x] Plan Fight Metaphors With Metaphors
-[x] The path this game has been taking is wrong. If the chains of fate say that you're only options are to be a monster, you'll just break those chains. You don't want to hurt anyone, but you refuse to let anyone hurt those you love.
--[x] Sun: Cast Scorching Sunlight at the chained ceiling. Shatter the chains and bring light to this world of darkness.
--[x] Moon: Stay close to Sun, don't get separated. If anyone gets hurt, cast Soothing Moonlight on everyone.
--[x] If the Queen tries to attack, use your quick reflexes and the skills you've learned from training in order to block and dodge. Use your mental connection to time things so that Sun can knock the Queen away when she's being blocked by Moon.

A look at what I think about the assorted upgrades in the shop. I haven't looked through the thred for any mentions of what Naron might have actually meant them to be.

All of them are from this quote, of course:

Absolute Connection
-Complete Connection
-650 EXP
Replaces Complete Connection and upgrades it

I don't know anything about the specifics of this. I think we should get it as soon as possible, though. My personal hope is that it lets them synchronize their spells, but it's probably something like pooled actions. It also might have other things gated behind it. Probably not more "Connection" abilities, but there might be something else.

Sunlight Scepter: Spellslinger
-Sunlight Scepter lv10
-350 EXP
Add the Ability "Multi-Caster (Lvl 1)" to Sunlight Scepter

Unless sun gets another spell or there's something behind it (which is admittedly likely), this is only casting Scorching Sunlight twice in one action. Not nearly worth the price, even though it can target 2 people, unlike Echo or Double Cast. This state of affairs is liable to change.

Sunlight Scepter: Advanced Catalyst
-85 EXP
Double Primordial Sun's Magic Modifier

Probably has something locked behind it, less expensive than a level 9->10 upgrade, and basically doubles her weapons damage. Almost certainly worth getting if we care about her MM at all.

Sunlight: Echo
-150 EXP
Add the Ability Echo to Scorching Sunlight

Might have something behind it, but otherwise not worth it till level 15. Does have the chance of a massive spike or lull.

The Light Never Fades
-100 EXP
Add the Ability Double Cast to Scorching Sunlight

As Echo, but level 10 and more reliable.

Incandescent Armour
-300 EXP
Increase Sun's defensive abilities

My guess is as good as yours. Probably either good or has something good behind it, though.

Incandescent Weapon
-400 EXP
Increase Sun's offensive abilities

My guess is as good as yours. Probably either good or has something good behind it, though.

Moonlight Scepter: Judgement
-100 EXP
Adds the Ability "Judgement" to the Moonlight Scepter

Nullify MM, including for synced attacks. Usually not worth it, but there are a good few MGs who rely on their MM, so...

Radiant Conductor
-Soothing Moonlight lv.5
-Lunar Blessing lv.10
-180 EXP
Modify Sun's damage and bolster your own

Probably good, but not well defined.

Otherworldly Radiance
-300 EXP
Become more resilient to damage within your shell of moonlight

Probably a good defense, but if we are going for defense we should probably go for Veil over this.

Shining Protector
-200 EXP
Allows Eva to protect others in battle

Useful enough to get if it protects Sun. Otherwise probably not anytime soon.

Veil Of the Lunar Goddess
-Lunar Blessing Lv. 10
-Protective Silhouette Lv. 10
-500 EXP
Replaces Lunar Blessing and Protective Silhouette, improves modifiers

Probably very useful. I'm not sure how the XP transfer would work, but even if it does transfer all of both's XP, it will still be the same amount of totl XP before and after it's bought, so no point in improving the prerequisites past 10 before getting it.

Neverending Sunlight
-????????????????
- 350 EXP
Receive a special Omni-Caster
&
Neverending Moonlight
-???????????????
-350 EXP
Receive a special Omni-Caster

I am extremely curious about these. My personal theory is that they reset one twin's spell limit when the other casts a spell, but it could be anything.
On the matter of the current vote, I don't think Naron will care about things like the emotions write-in. Attacking the roof should be enough.

For my evidence, I present:
Not a fan of those, to be honest... I rather have characters grow by what they actually do, not by some kind of test.
Although it is true that you are supposed to learn something from this.
That said, we might want a better talking plan than just trying to asking her, but we don't really have enough information to make a more detailed one yet, so.

Yeah, no. We already did more damage with this then we ever should have. I advocate not going any further. Those poor twins.

Now this though, this is good. Originally didn't look that good, but doubling level 9 MM? Along with having Modifier Save on Rico's weapon in the first place? YES PLEASE!

Sorry, but I see no damage whatsoever. The writing changes are actually my favorite part of these upgrades, not the actual power aspects.
The damage is that the two's personalities are merging. If you keep an eye on the thoughts tabs on the first page you notice the changes that happen there. I'm 97% sure Absolute Connection will completely merge their personalities.

Totally agree, because Naron hinted that more than enough and this is it how it will turn out.

I doubt that's it, but I hope it is.

I guess the difference here is that you think that's a bad thing.

Actually, at the moment, that shop item is a massive waste of EXP. Sun's weapon does next to no damage, so having a higher MM on it is worthless.

The only way that shop item will become useful is if her weapon gains the Spell Boost ability, which will make the damage and MM of her weapon get added to all of her spells.

You are aware that a high roll will add massive amounts of both bonus damage and RESELIENCE to it depending on the dice right? And that with the help of Modifier Save we only need one high roll.

...holy.

WHY WOULD IT BE A GOOD THING!? WHY!? HOW IN ANY WORLD IS LOSING INDIVIDUALITY A GOOD THING!?
I'd rather not go into a philosophy debate on SV. I'll give a quick summary, but I have no interest in arguing about it. We have different opinions. It happens.

Leaving aside the fact that Rico and Eva don't seem to mind it(so there isn't the issue of doing it to someone who minds)...
"Our magic lets us feel what the other feels and talk in our heads. It's great!"

I love the idea of 2 minds becoming a single one. Each of them gains what the other had in addition to what they already had. The resulting being would be Rico. It would also be Eva. Neither of them is lost in the merging.

...you don't understand what happens, do you? It's not two different people gaining traits from another. When you merge two people's minds together you take every experience and flaw and virtue that makes them their own unique individual and mixes them together. Thus causing a brand new personality with traits that even the previous two beings didn't have. Because it's a new perspective experiencing different events. It changes the very core of who they are.

Honestly it sounds like it will kill Eva and Rico, who they are as people, leaving this third personality inhabiting two bodies. This is too messed up, I'm not voting for this ever again. I'm seriously uncomfortable with what's going on.

At best I hope I'm super wrong, and just jumping to conclusions.

If Sun's Resilience is relevant, we're doing something wrong. That's the whole point of some of the upgrades in Moon's shop.

Also, keep in mind that every weapon level up multiplies Sun's magic modifier by 1.8 already. That upgrade multiplies it by 2.0 for slightly more EXP than the cost of going from level 8 to level 9. We'd get a lot more benefit from instead raising her weapon to level 10 to get that sweet milestone bonus.

... Meh. Resilience isn't actually worth much after a certain point, a point we're more or less hitting if you count the MM actually. It becomes all about the End Damage reducers. Which she already has one in the form of Radiance.

So... meh.

Worse, it's unreliable. Because it can be anything from 1 to X. If you're relying on that, you're already fucked.

If was called SomethingSomething Fusion, I would at least say you're probably right about what's happening. Since it's Connection... not so much.

You remember Nepgear's No Longer Human upgrade? Ability names are (or should be) very on the nose when you look at them.

It's fairly trans-humanist, with how they are connected more deeply than humans are in our world, I'll admit, but... well, most magical girls kind of are on some level.
