I think we'll need more than a single battle for that to happens. We have a nice sympathy capital potential right now, but it's by no mean a 100% adoration rating.

Win a major battle or two, successfully defend a important location and hold a few speeches.....maybe whiping an army or two from the face of the Earth will work to but we will still be under threat of assassination which will than be covered up by saying that the coalition did it.

And that's not talking about other potential troubles that a woman in the 19th century has to deal with... like marriage.

...........f--k don't let the feminists hear that.

..........Actually while we are at the problems we have to face we have to watch out for sharpshooters/riflemen, vengeful idiots, cannons, a certain "I'm going to cut your head of", etc while we face the military life.....not couting viruses and diseases since a comman cold can kill you I think.

That is a fact of life in the 19th century. Brian might marry us off because he might need to save his own ass.

Or save our ass. That might need to happen.

yeah... it's not going to be a fun couple of years till the peace treaty's signed.

Thank God Reason the Supreme Being for the Divorce Law of 1792 then!
The Legislative Assembly, having decided on this as a matter of urgency, decrees on the causes, the manner and the consequences of divorce, as follows…
Article 2. A divorce may occur through the mutual consent of the spouses.
Article 3. One of the spouses may have a divorce issued on the simple allegation of incompatibility of temperament or character.
Article 4. Each of the spouses may equally have the divorce issued on specific grounds, that is:
a. the dementia, madness or violence of one of the spouses;
b. the condemnation of one of them to corporal or serious punishment;
c. the crime, cruelty or serious affront of one towards the other;
d. the acknowledged dissoluteness of morals;
e. the abandonment of the wife by the husband, or of the husband by the wife, for
at least two years;
f. the absence of one of them, without news, for at least five years."

The shortest route is the slowest route if you take cannons.

I would send the cannon along route C with 2,000 (67%) of the cavalry and 3,000 men (15%)
The remaining moving force would be along route B (15,000/75% and the remaining 1,000 (33%) cavalry)

2,000 men/10% remain to guard the camp until militia can be raised using the spare muskets to take up garrison duty. At which point they are to meet the main force along route B with further supplies.

Rendevue south of city (assume the artillery will seek high ground that controls river crossing and other in-range high ground). Survey required.

Using two roads in winter means less mud from that snow fall.

[] Plan Little column B little column C

-Troop composition

Column B
Infantry 15,000 (75%)
Cavalry 1,000 (33%)

Column C
Infantry 3,000 (15%)
Cavalry 2,000 (67%)
Artillery All (100%)

-Route
Column B : Route B
Column C : Route C

-New camp location
South of City

The supply and communication advantage of a site close to the city makes up for loss of terrain advantage initially, but if a strong position is surveyed and signals can be agreed with the city then reposition.

Ah crap. Forgot to vote. And this move is... ugh. I really don't like how this is looking.

It seems I am wise after the deadline if not the event. Oh well, apres moi la deluge.

Gonna close the vote here. Plan Onward to Mayence! wins!
NOO0on!

A depot garrison need only be 2,000 men unless you expect trouble.

Route C is a good choice. The guns will get there in good time. Not as many guns as there could have been with my last plan....although half would be poorly drilled.

Setting up in the city invalidates our superb cavalry. Our front in narrowed and we lose room to move. The cover is good, but we are there to attack the beseiging force, not join the seige. We want a field battle. Our morale is strong, but the city forces could do without public disorder problems.

Now for some fancy quotes that Therese might or might not have said, historians are still trying to figure it out.

"France did not conscript the entire nation, France only conscripted half the nation."

"I rather like the Americans, but their phrase All men are created equal does not seem to apply to negroes, perhaps they don't consider them to be men?"

"I prefer the smell of gunpowder to the smell of horse shit."

"I have learned quite well that sabres, guns and cannons do not care that I am a woman."

Give me five more and I'll give a bonus.

"They say that maneuver is the key to warfare. What they don't tell you, is that it's just as important for your opponent. Stopping your opponent from moving is often just as important as moving your own troops."
-said shortly before the engineers collapsed a certain bridge

"Hmmm? Does someone hear something?"
-upon seeing Brunswick shouting from across the river, after he found wreckage where a bridge was supposed to be

The guillotine has so much noble blood on it that I worry that foreign monarchs will attempt to crown it King of France.

I prefer the chaos of the battlefield to the chaos of politics

I have swallowed so much of Napoleon's shit that I am starting to get used to the taste.

It seems that bravery and stupidity go hand in hand in Prussia.

I am a child of the revolution and I will stand for it no matter the cost.

Speaking of Napoleon, when do you guys think he would change his belief from Corsican to Napoleonic Revolutionary?

Peipers, Please!
+15, loving the new characters! Fuch's looking pretty angsty :p

"Oh, okay. I come back with Peiper. For real this time. Glory to Arstotz- I mean, Austria!"

Ol' Fritz Peiper is my creature, but my characterization of De Vins was just from his portrait on Wikipedia. (Holy low-brow, Batman.) As for Rudolf... Well, out of any character of any nationality, Prussians have gotta rank pretty high up there on the angst department. :p I'll try to demonstrate further depth to his character beyond "muh fallen bruddahs," when it's appropriate.
