*rubs glasses and looks at rolls again*..........Is Therese and her men secretly orks pretending to be French cause holy biscuits those rolls!?

@Magoose, which Marshal did Napoleon want leading the Vanguard for that conquest again? Sounds like a fun sequel, go from historical fiction to Salvation War fanfic.:V
General Vandamme was the man Nappy wished to lead the vanguard into hell.

No.

Davout just proved why he was the iron marshel.
''sir the french are mobilizing forces to......invade hell?''

Therese: Just another Tuesday for me that seems, come now lads, we've got to kill Lucifer.

What are the odds the Egyptians hear about this and offer to surrender as a vassal state to save them the horrible losses from a fight?

Depends on how bad off the Ottomans are right now. "The Sick Man of Europe" can still kick our teeth in if they get their divisions sorted out temporarily. The endemic problems are probably more outside our wheelhouse, but we can help or hinder what's to come.

I kinda want to enforce that we frown upon civilian casualties tho, it will cause more problems down the line if we do not make a distinction between civilian and military targets, even more, if we are going to Egypt, where our lifeline might as well be how good we get along with the locals.

Probably zilch to "Jihad the Infidel"

And if Parsha suddenly but inevitably betrays us to his bosses in Constantinople or decides its bets to kick the shit out of Christians in the Balkins and whatnot.

Well, you're going to need to get that through Chamans head.

I think we may have won too hard folks, something tells me we just made things more difficult for ourselves in the mid-long run.
I am moderately worried Sicily has become this for us

If Anyone else where in Power in France we'd very likely be basically Caesar in Gaul right now with very few options outside of either pulling a Rubicon, starting out own nation, or letting ourselves be completely screwed over. Even now I'm a bit worried because only two of the three Consuls are in our corner. That's good but that doesn't make us immune to political intrigue.

Egypt Has me worried because if we just go home it will be another example of us just doing what we want, if we invade we might freak Europe out and spark a new Coalition War and that's if we win,if we ask to not invade it will alarm our enemies as it might give them the impression we can do whatever we want because we got our brother and Napoleon's support. Every way forward has risks.

That's assuming of course our stomp doesn't spark a new conflict just from the old powers of Europe shitting themselves in fear.

Indeed.

All of Europe, for good and ill, is wondering what the hell you are going to do, and that... for the most part, you have done literally everything right, formed a new way of organization for the army, have a corp of officers who are insanely good and experienced in independent command or supporting our efforts.

They will either study you closely, or choose to ignore you.

Well, even if we are in the metaphorical rubicon, our bro and future husband wish to see that we remain alive and well, meaning we've got the chance to start the Empire Early, much to Brian's Cringe.

In saying that, if the government tries to kill us for any crimes that we didn't commit in Sicily or potentially in Egypt, it will make brian lose all faith in Republicanism, and fly right into the Napoleon "Lets throw some Lawyers in the River" Camp.

Brian may be a revolutionary and a republican, but there are some things that would make him lose faith, even in something he believed in so strongly, like the revolution.

We could make an entire wall of the shit they defecated in our victories here... but no.

Especially if Brian decides to play diplomat to our other Great Power Neighbors.

When do we get the chance to improve our charisma and oratory? I have an increasing feeling with each post that we will need it rather sooner than later.

Yeah, obviously, that's why I asked when :V

THat moment where Davout proves his independent command chops early.

Good for him.

Hmm.....

This has potential. A nation of soldiers for soldiers. Someplace Outside Heaven, one could say.....

"I won't scatter your sorrow to the heartless sea. I will always be with you. Plant your roots in me. I won't see you end as ashes. You're all diamonds. We'll make diamonds from their ashes, take them into battle with us. We are Diamond Dogs Frenchmen."

So... instead of Revolution, we get outer hevan?

You know, compared to the other potential shitstorms we could create, it's a rather wholesome one.

Though not the best.

I may or may not have debated posting the exact same album cover.

Lets just say...
