So glad to see this back, sorry to hear about Plaus.
As for the Plan, my focus is on the artillery. We need heavy guns or else it won't matter what the rest of the force looks like.
Regulars and cavalrymen (We have Dragoons right?) will get mulched without proper support.
Cavalry is best for pressuring points and mobility on the battlefield, it doesn't win much of anything on its own. And certainly not in the numbers we have, even if we recruit and train this turn.
Any situation where the cavalry have come into use so far, it's been because the Infantry and artillery had already done their jobs. (IIRC)
At the expense of not being able to carry through on a route should we have a victory, I think it best to make it so we can win in the first place.
[] Training (Calvary): You will need to turn this poor excuse of a unit into a fighting force. Costs 1 wealth. DC:5
[] Training (Artillery): You will need to turn this poor excuse of a unit into a fighting force. Costs 1 wealth. DC:30
[]Blackmarket Canon: There are rumors that the Blackmarket in a certain bordering nation that shall not be named, offers surplus canon for a reasonable price... you don't like circumventing the armies supply chain... but you need canon. Cost 6 Wealth DC: 40

I'm picking this for story reasons. It might not be the best timing considering the coup that just happened, but an Auclair would at the very least be a name paid attention to at the moment.
That's a lot of men that will be either dead, enslaved, or imprisoned on the far end of the Mediterranean. (And that's if they can make it to Egypt without being interdicted, then they'd just drown at sea) If the plan goes through.
It would be very good for our reputation among the soldiers if we speak up against what's effectively a suicide mission. If we suffer for speaking up, we'll recoup in the future.
This particular campaign we're involved in right now seems like it's bound to be a mess anyway. It might save us some damage to get shuffled elsewhere.

[]Protest the Invasion of Egypt (Officially): You should know that the French Navy is not capable of striking out against the royal navy. You will protest this invasion, hopefully, someone in the Directorate sees sense. Cost 1 Wealth DC: ??? Note: While doing this, you may get reprimanded, and even reassigned.

I just like the kids and think they should see what's left of their family. I'm a softy.
Likewise, some active delegation on our part is already happening with regard to the drilling of the soldiers, we should just make it official that we're handing some authority down the chain of command.

[] Care for The Children: The children while much more relaxed than they were before the new year are still children. DC: 5
[]Returning Family: Elisibeth Capet has been tried and has been found not guilty for whatever crimes the old republic tried her for. She's now free to return to the only estate recognized as the Capets owning, a small vineyard in Southern Aquitaine, the only place that was no officially confiscated from the family after Louis Capet Died. DC: ???
[]The Staff Question: You need to speak to your staff about commanding a force this large... you are going to need to promote one of them, for a temporary position as your chief of Staff. DC: 5
[]Speak with Jourdan: You want to speak to your commanding officer, to see what he really thinks of you. DC: 20
