Final Update
Final Update:

Remaining. Perhaps that was the best, no, the only choice you had. There was nothing short of a series of events that led to this moment. You were in essence… Making another choice. War was upon the entire world it seemed, and you felt the need to take part in it, be the savior of France that you believed you are.

As well as the savior to yourself.

In your mind, you were trying to fight two wars. The one in your heart, and the war for your nation, where you understood.

Where you did stand.

It made you think of Brian, and his cynicism about what happened since the Revolution began. How the triumphs and the dream of a free world have been trampled away… replaced by something that was a mix of the same, or something new that you did not understand.

And you had a strange place in it, a mother, an Empress, a symbol.

That much you could not only dream of seeing.

A world where you could see the change with your own eyes.

AN: I was really trying to get a full-on 10k word update detailing many things, with interactions galore.

Yet it was not meant to be as I literally could not even find the energy to do it.

I have loved doing this quest for the past 4 years and it's been incredibly fun, but in the last few months, I have been having trouble, not only writing but planning the updates as well.

It has led to some very... stressful personal things happening to me, as well as a truly agonizing series of events that I wanted to do, to being cut or dropped entirely.

I personally have written several hundred (Yes you read that right) updates for this quest in the last two months alone, for various POVs of other people in the quest, most notably Brian, Napoleon, and even King George himself, and all I have done is try to find, not only the same spark of passion for this story but also just finding out an end.

And it hit me, that I was just sauntering on this corpse that has slowly lost much interest over the years because Plaus left, and me becoming the sole steward of the place became too much for me to take anymore.

I want this quest to be good. And I feel like I haven't been able to provide that for a long time.

Thank you all for reading.

This will have a sequel thread, eventually.

But for now, this quest is completed.

Anouncement!
So... I did promise that there would be another part and another thread.

And guess what, I found people who were just as dedicated and insane enough to join me as Co QM's so that I don't immediately die trying to do this.

In... I wanna say 24 hours, but it may be earlier, depending on if we can get the Author notes finished...

Part two begins... And we ride at dawn Everyone!
