All this probably explains why one of our duties could've been trying to take over a Lion Army. Though I'm wondering if another Scorpion is already in place to pull that particular task.
 
And of course, the Great Hail. The Crane were as strong or stronger before the Great Tsunami, and the fortunes quickly changed after that...
 
After reading the summary I wonder if us being a ronin is actually more a blessing than a bad thing lol. Our clan champion has his plans that the MC no longer has an obligation follow because he's a ronin now.

I guess we could be forced though.
 
And may protect us from retaliation from Lion, Crane, and honestly, every other clan that saw the Scorpion dominate the last three years.

Too bad it does not do anything to the family we are feuding with and you know for sure we gonna end up with one of them as a possible romantic interest. Because I'm basic like that.

And the closeness of Uncle Shoju with Weak Prince and Cruel Heir pretty much creates the obvious expectations that we are to get rid of Hantei Amira the moment we find her...

When did ever the Scorpion not stack the deck in favor of whatever outcome happens?

Even Boss Scorpion is supporting the Imperial Heir while positioning his child right next to the first Imperial Prince. Now imagine at the grunt level; take the case of the River of Gold: the Scorpion arranged do a Bayushi would become the head magistrate of the region AND sent another agents to take over the criminal elements. Either the region felt to chaos or order was reinforced, the Scorpion would be a part of it

Yeah, and you don't know this Amira. Are they even worth the trouble?

Weirdly enough, name is picked the last on L5R character creation and we have made that very complicated for us. We will have at least:

  • Baby name
  • Privateer persona
  • Name we pick in adulthood

And we may have:
  • Taken a new name as Ronin
  • Have nicknames with certain groups
  • Have a pen name should we continue with the art elements we already have
We should come with at least one name by the end of process, and maybe leave the possibility of more for during play. But this thing takes forever, I was not expecting character creation to take a month.

I think it is may be appropriate to refer to ourselves by our baby name, until we, well, get to pick our adult identity. Feel free to suggest names, I will include those in the Monday vote.

Aki - either Autumn, Bright, or Sparkle
Kin - Gold
Ko - Happiness, Light, or Peace
Nobu - Faith

My experience with posh people is that the my name their children like pets and their people like people.

I would find very amusing if this family of horse breeding nobles gave their horses people's names and their kids horse names.

    The first is interesting and I wonder how having your karmic tie early affects a person. Would probably explain a lot of out desire and passion/disadvantages. The second might help us find the princess, and the musical skill could be useful in lots of situation.
