It Belongs to a Museum

Very much yes please. I mean, come on, surely there's no difference between "museum" and "personal collection," right?

Tbh my hope is a Dark Elf who is just a fucking nerd so they get laughed out the northern lands. What? Invest in infrastructure instead of attacking the High Elf's? WHAT A NERD HOLY SHIT and gave us a swirle so hard they ended up in the vampire coast. I'm envisioning them cause I fixate on that post of Boney talking about how hellishly inefficient Dark Elf society is.

Other jokes I need to get out of my system.

The thread after having to interact with vampires for a couple of updates:

I am of the opinion that the empire has been done to death at this point in SV quests.

Out of curiosity, did you ever consider Kislev?

I did, but I couldn't find a compelling way to make it work. Kislev's history is a void between the Great War and Boris, and what little canonical details there are gives you the option between the Lahmian Tzarina with a penchant for mass murder, the Tsarevich that ruled for fifteen minutes, or Vladimir the Technically Existed. Boris has been explored in DL and Katarin is trying to weaponize culture to build a centralized police state, with arguably strong justification but it doesn't seem like a light vibe. The options for sighting a museum in Kislev are much less interesting than the rival equivalents - Praag is a ruin, Erengard is a less fleshed out Marienburg, Kislev City is a less interesting Altdorf. Kislev is strictly a local power, while everyone else is either a major power or a naval one, giving them easy access to a wide reach.

IMO the most interesting avenue for a Kislev Quest is way back in the 1400s when they've just rolled in and are trying to figure out how cities work and why there's three different guys claiming to be Emperor next door, but that's not the venue for a museum quest.

If anything was going to make me stop lurking, make a account and and follow a new quest (I usually like to read in bulk) it's Boney

I'm guessing 'divided loyalties already explored these people' is also why there's no Dwarf option, or at least part of it :p

I'd like to argue against the Vampire Coast on the basis that WFRP 4e's Lustria book covers it in good detail and it is a grim and depressing place with a miserable slave population. For jolly piratical goings-on, Sartosa is the far better option.

Also, despite the novelty, playing the bad guys isn't as fun as playing the good guys (or the less-bad bad guys).

EDIT: Lustria, page 68

God dammit i desperately want either Vampire Coast or Sartosa. We need a good Warhammer Pirate quest, and this is a Damn fine lens to view one through!

Pirate museum! Pirate Museum dedicated either to Luthor Harkon and his eternal hunt for the lost fragments of his mind, or Sartosa and an honest to god museum dedicated to Piracy and the history of the greatest pirates to ever live!

The reason i adore Vampire Coast as an option, aside from how much friggin fun Vampire Coast is to play in Total War, is because Luthor there has the best madness variants that don't make me cringe like that one book does.

There, Luthor's various minds are all still Luthor, just focused differently. Like the Narcissist, or the Coward, or the Maddened One.

All still undeniably Luthor, just aspects of the man brought to the surface by the workings of a Slann.

And sure he's crazy, but even madder than mad he's still one of the best damn pirates in all the world!
