No, don't give in, don't give in!...No... Must... Stay... Strong...
...Oh heck with it, my resistance has officially broken. Indy/Seydlitz is now this fic's OTP.

I understand that. I just don't get it: why is shipping so important? Why are people willing to play matchmaker for fictional characters and die on that hill?Unless a challenger appears in the next chapter, you're going to be in the minority pal.

Not that I am the one to talk, though, considering that I too indulge in such behaviour sometimes.
I'm actually more interested in the story itself right now. I'm kinda burnt-out shipping-wise. Probably from actually writing my own stuff now. That and seeing people push certain ships constantly.I understand that. I just don't get it: why is shipping so important? Why are people willing to play matchmaker for fictional characters and die on that hill?

Don't we all?I'm willing to play matchmaker for fictional characters (because I find it fun and cute)
I understand that and agree.I mainly bring it up in Kancolle fics and quests a whole lot because I don't actually have much else to say: I'm not as knowledgeable on naval war as some other people here, so I leave that aspect to them. Still, there are places where I have talked about stuff without bringing up shipping at all. Look at my posts on "Changing Destiny" (one of Skywalkers other stories), you won't find any real mention of shipping there and instead entirely comments about the intricacies of the alternate history that is forming.
How does one end up with romance in their writing? Just curious. When it comes to my writing, most every one of my stories (okay, probably every one but my Stargate ones) inevitably ends up with at least one pairing. So people shipping my characters is a given.
Seydestructible?
Now you're just being a sadist. My alternative was actually Seydtible, although maybe Seydest works too. Oh! I know: SeyDESS!
You get that I was doing wordplay off of your naming idea, right? I think that's how I'll deal with excess shipping: horrific puns. When you have a really long name (that is also an adjective), portmanteau naming starts to get funky...
