IIRC we had just barely finished the interface when the Transistor got itself barely back online, and never actually tested it or got it into a properly functional state after that. Also also, I thought the Process also takes up the strain of Jaune's semblance now, but that didn't happen here. Did Jaune do that intentionally?
"... 01. How much do you rely on the Transistor for? In terms of restraining the Process, I mean."
"... The Transistor is a control unit for the Process. It actively limits us to a degree so we do not advance too far too quickly, in terms of both unit development and assimilation progress. Without it, we are... coping, via your instruction and past limitations put in place. However, the longer it is offline, the more those limitations will begin to break down- it is an integral part of the Process network, and functioning without it is incredibly inefficient in terms of the sysadmin's long-term goals."
"I, no, no, I'm not mad at you, I'm just... I'm sorry. I should have taken the time to actually, look over your code and fix such a... glaring flaw in your network setup. A single busted terminal shouldn't mean life or death."
It's Sanyati, from Star Fetchers! A lovely little free game on Steam that recently resurfaced from the dead with a lunchtime-price DLC and a complete overhaul of the game down to rebuilding it in Lua, so there's never been a better time to play it besides yesterday.Ok, first off. Who the fuck are you!?, what did you do to our monochrome QM?

I vote this but couldn't it had been a memory of her and ruby eating ice-cream or something.
Also the shear wtf factor of that hand scene. Why did that happen? How? Ozpin has to be told about this; he'd find it wonderful for something so remarkable to happen with one of his new students.

Jaune managed, in a barely-lucid fugue state, to code out a very inefficient, barebones program for interfacing with other hardware in a less destructive way than just them rawdogging his Semblance. In theory, it could be connected to the Process, but in practice that would probably just kill him thanks to the sheer backlash. The Transistor is a Ferrari, it's a nice car, maybe a bit too much car for most people, but in this comparison, the Process is one of those cars lunatics build to go as fast as possible across the Utah Salt Flats.Just re-read orientation, and. Did we ever decide on a course of action to take regarding the Process' over-reliance on the Transistor?
Because if we didn't, that's probably something Jaune should add somewhere near the upper half of his priority list. Our godling probably shouldn't have such a distinct failure point.
Eh, if my speculation was wrong, that's fine. I'm pretty sure I half wrote that post in a fugue state after a day of half aware recovery from working 36 hours in 3 consecutive days (don't let anyone tell you that doing afterhours work is easy). While it's too late to change my vote, if I wanted to, I can certainly apply a slightly finer toothed comb to the post.Anyway, Sacred Rage is the runaway winner, and to quickly address some of the theories about what just happened; go back and read the last part of the update again up to the voting choices, carefully. I think you all managed to miss a couple key words that might guide you in the right direction.

Yours, your Semblance whispers in the back of your head, and the headache pulses a little harder for the answer.
This is no intrusion, and whatever happens next is not something you will go through alone.
Which memory do you keep, remembered in such perfect, terrible clarity that it will feel like you're choking on your own heartbeat?
