[X] Turn away.
It does make sense that Jaune might know Qrow from the pre-Beacon school, Signal, but man the timeline must be really tight. We know Qrow was or somehow still is a teacher at Signal, but at the same time he's running around the world doing jobs for Oz, so I don't even know the 'when' of when they met. Like Qrow was at Signal maybe five years ago or something? It's a bit of a mess because RWBY lore barely bothers explaining itself at the best of times so long as it's not the main plot.

... I'm confused. Why do we need to write glyphs by hand when we'll always have an AI on hand (cause if we don't we'll be in the throes of a migraine that at best "merely" leaves us catatonic anyway).

The same reason math teachers say you can't use a calculator on a test. Some argue not learning the material when you have a crutch, and some stick by the horribly aged "you won't always have a computer on hand"

There's no reason we can't beyond Jaune getting it into his head that he has to.

Oh boy. What did this drunk maniac even teach at Signal anyway?

Love the new update and the snip of Ozpin's hand to hand class.

Does Qrow not find it odd that there's a kid going up to Oz's office on day 2? Does he do this a lot? Should we be more or less concerned here? XD

Also re: hand-writing Glyphs, there's a good chance that we'll be utilizing Glyphcraft while the Transistor is acting semi-autonomously or in Turn() cool down, and there's also a difference between "I can make a computer do the thing" and "I can make the thing by hand and the computer just makes it faster and more precise."

Master the material under less than ideal conditions and you'll have an easier time using it in the field.

"... Jaune?"

"... Professor Qrow?!"

AR stencils should work for a learning tool...and I suspect Jaune's Aura is more dextrous than his hands AND has no bad habits/tics to unlearn

But honestly, it seems pretty one sided already. I just really want to see Jaune's reaction to one of his Signal teachers working personally for Ozpin.

Like, that cant be normal, right? High school teachers dont normally meet with the headmasters of universities.

Canonically he's a combat instructor. Pretty sure that hasn't changed here since I don't think there's anything else he's good at they cover at Signal
Can I just state the obvious here?

Qrow, the AoE bad luck bomb, overseeing student spars.

No wonder Signal graduates are miniature monsters. They have to practice their fighting uphill in the snow both ways.

Edit: OH GOD QROW SHOULD NEVER BE ALLOWED WITHIN 500M OF THE NUKE PUNCH KID

"Uh… Cocoa with marshmallows."

The door dings, the indicator above it flashing a down arrow, indicating the lift's descent.

It arrives within a minute, and you step on, eyes widening at the dizzying array of buttons on the inside- you, guess you want to aim for the penthouse, so, boop.

"Hey, hey! Hold the doors!"

Your head snaps up, and you see a black-haired man jogging, then running for the lift, looking rather desperate to catch it. Instinctively, you put a foot out to open the door again, letting him catch up just in time to get in before it closes again.

Jaune, you just had to give a password to get in. You then held the door open for some guy you couldn't even remember at the time, bypassing his own need to give the password. This is not good OpSec. Spoken passwords in general are pretty bad, honestly, but this is worse!

Meh, why not?

To be fair, that's just a normal reaction for someone running up to a closing elevator. Plus, well, this is Ozpin's office. If someone wanted to try and break in, Ozpin is literally right there to gently escort them out. The password's purpose is most likely so he doesn't have random students or whoever popping in when he's trying to do paperwork or manage his global conspiracy network.
