New Good Seed and Omake Rule Updates
Good Seed and Omake Spreadsheet Rules:

Firstly, if you have questions about Good Seeds and the like please read here. If that doesn't answer your question please ping me in thread, or on Discord.

If you write a new Good Seed, or write an omake, please update the spreadsheet if you have access.

If you do not have access, please ping a collaborator (Swordomatic, Alectai, Quest, TehChron, Insane-Not-Crazy, Humbaba, ReaderOfFate, Kaboomatic, no., BungieONI) letting them know what you want and they will update the spreadsheet here. To gain access, you will need a gmail account of some kind. Throwaway emails are fine (I'm using one for the spreadsheet), but to gain access it's as simple as sending me either your email via PM, via DM in Discord, or just in Discord's #spreadsheet-requests channel.

This is mandatory. If a Good Seed does not record their omake by pinging collabs (or just requesting access and editing things themselves - this is the preferred option), I won't give out awards. If a new Good Seed is not recorded here, they won't advance. By doing this it makes the whole thing manageable for me - it's gotten pretty unwieldy!

Omake Writer Instructions:

There are four fields you need to fill out.

Omake Link, which is just a link to your first omake for the turn. This makes it easier for me to read them as I do the update - without this it's tough to know off the bat which omake were written this turn, and to properly

Requested Bonus, which is your requested bonus for your omake. You can leave it up to me if you like. You can see more info in the Good Seed infopost here.

Cultivation Aims. For those following unorthodox paths - higher than 9th Heavenstage or later than 7th Dao Pillar paths. Please put in what you are aiming for before you break through. I have left it as 'default'. If you do not edit it, I'll go with that.

Turn Notes - Do you want to do something specific? Enter a Secret Realm? Help the Clan out in some way? If you have something specific you want to accomplish on this turn, put it in turn notes so I can adjust your Fate around it.

All other fields are for QM use to record character information to properly run the flow of the game.

Weaknesses - Low stamina. Grasping opportunities to cultivate above your talent was a worthy endeavour, but in truth your body finds it hard to maintain the level of cultivation you have attained. You cannot fight in battle for as long as your peers. Penalty to Combat.
The Cannibals likely have at least two Nascent Souls if Child Corpse Eater is any indication.

With the potential of using Early Nascent Soul crippled CCE to pin down any arbitrary number of our own forces in pitched combat and force our sole Nascent Soul cultivator to open combat if we allow the Cannibals to dictate the terms of engagement.

This build is all about setting up the battlefield beforehand.

We simply can't afford to be drawn into pitched combat, on any level. Especially given the number of enemies the Optimatoi have in the region. If Manuel himself is wounded or exhausted, then the Clan will be hideously vulnerable until he recovers, and that's just not something that we can remotely afford.

Especially since we'll be the ones taking the initiative and abandoning the advantages of our defensive fortifications to strike Cannibals. We need economy of action here, and the best ways to do that are to learn how to best allocate our resources, including the Greater Circle Core Formation Cultivator that is already a dead man walking as is.

If we can arrange a situation where he can afford to take Child Corpse Eater down at the cost of his own life, then that leaves us more than capable of taking out whatever remaining power the Cannibals have left to stop us when we move against them.

[X] Insurgency Preparations

I'll take the risk free, moderate option, I guess.

The problem with Aggressive Raids is the same problem that we ran into when Child Corpse Eater struck back.

We aren't going to be able to inflict lasting harm against the Blood Cannibals save by surprise and cunning. We lack the build for such mindless force projection to be successful in the manner that we need it to be, especially when we're genuinely losing power. Losing a Nascent Soul and a Grand Circle Pillar who would have been a good fit to reach Nascent Soul themselves in such short order is genuinely crippling.

And one of our enemies, the second closest in fact, just recently gained a massive spike to their own capability that they are taking the time to process and capitalize on.

The Demonic Bee Clan isn't going to give us room to breathe, especially not with the Hundred Year Trials hanging about our necks. We need to make sure whatever we hit the Blood Cannibals with sticks so that we can prepare to fort up for the Trials and defend ourselves against the Demonic Bees should they make a move against us.

Raiding isn't a direct invasion and if we raid them hard enough with our allies we can turn things for the rebels. If we go too soft on this we give our enemies time to consolidate, and soon we'll be facing empowered bees and united cannibals. We have to keep them on the back foot.

Raiding isn't a direct invasion
Yes.

That's the problem. It won't do any telling damage, and just encourages the Cannibals to clap back at us at full power once the Righteous Clan backs off next turn, with us little better off in knowledge of what to expect from them barring a really good roll.

It cedes the initiative to the Blood Cannibals completely which is really not a good position for us to be in.

Sitting around for 20 years while they finish off the rebels and heal their elder isn't ceding the initiative?

Raids weaken the enemy and strengthen us.

[X] Moderate Raiding
-[X] Agree with Proposal - Jingshen Clan will begin raiding Blood Cannibal Sect. You will gain no Wealth this turn.
-[X] Intrigue (Blood Cannibal Sect) - You should learn about another clan entirely. Spend Spirit Stones like water in the plains and find out everything you can. Strengths. Weaknesses, places to strike, rebels, and so on and so forth.
-[X] Weaken An Enemy (Blood Cannibal Sect)

changing my vote, we need to do some damage, but we also need some intel as well

So the Jingshen Clan will just sit around and not hold up their part of the deal, you mean?

Why even take it at all, then?
It's not like we will entirely wipe them out this turn, (unless we get godly rolls or something), so we can still attack them AND have the Jinshen clan do something,

That's not what's being argued here though.

It's the strict binary of: We Attack The Cannibals or The Oasis Rebels Get No Support

Which I don't quite get, as having the Jingshen Clan attack the Blood Cannibal Sect should absolutely be a distraction?

Why wouldnt it?

We'd want to take the deal because raiding weakens our enemies.

We'd want to raid ourselves because it further weakens our enemies and strengthens our clan.

I don't trust the Jingshen Clan alone to damage the Blood Cannibals enough to stop them from crushing their rebellion. I trust them to be a force multiplier to our own efforts if we coordinate with their raids.

We can open a three front war with the cannibals now or we can let them fight one front at a time until we're facing two empowered enemies of our own with the trials coming up. That sounds like a game over. We can't afford to squander opportunities, and a rebellion + weakened elder + allies willing to attack sounds like an opportunity to me.

My worry is that by playing safe we won't have time to press the advantage before Abyssal Devil Bee digests their gains or the trial happens.

Or

Oooooooor
"Archegetes. We are in no shape for a full war, but I could countenance a raid in force to seize minor territories from the Blood Cannibals. It would be risky, however. We might be in shape for a full war in twenty years."
We can do door number three and do an all out attack next turn with intel on an ostensibly weakened, attritioned, and pressured Blood Cannibal Sect in hand instead
