Hereafter [Worm x Fate/Grand Order]

Totally get it, and if there's nothing else going on then that's fine. I've said before that I'd respect who ever you decided to use. I just felt you were being tricksy again and Arash felt like a strange choice when other more appropriate viable options were available if the catalyst worked like Nezha, Shuten or Chiyome. Compatibility was always going to be your choice in the end. Now you just need to make it work, and I look forward to reading how it will.

My whole listing regarding Tamamo and why I felt she was most appropriate was just a reiteration of my reasoning for her, put in one place because I felt that constantly saying look up past posts in this thread and in the Essence thread was beginning to push it. So I decided to give my reasoning in it's entirety in one final place.

But again I'm cool with Arash, it just felt strange that he was summoned and I thought James was being sneaky sneaky again. I did list other options, like Artoria, so I was trying to balance out the rest of the post so it didn't seem like I was pushing Tamamo too hard. Obviously that failed, but that's fine, its not the first time I've been misunderstood and it won't be the last.

For the record, Arash is pretty busted. He was able to fight Proto Arthur head on using an arrowhead as a dagger and nearly win the fight.

EDIT: Oh, yeah, and he can pull off Tristan-level marksmanship feats with raw skill as opposed to the cheaty bullshit that is Failnaught.

They need to animate Proto Fragments, because I absolutely need to see every second of that badassery. Fragments doesn't have an official English release, right? That's part of why I haven't gotten into it. Fan translations can get pretty rough and inconsistent.

Unrelated news, I put the preorder in for that Brynhild figure. I get to spread the payments out over the next eight weeks, so I don't have to pay for it all at once, which is a little nicer than having to pay it all in one go.

Like F/SN Archer being called up by Rin because of their inherent resonance.
You were making sense up until you said this. This statement is strictly wrongly.
Rin BELIEVED she was using no catalyst and just winging it, but her pendant was the catalyst. When Shirou got Gae Bolg'd she used the magic she'd been storing in it for ten years to make him a new heart, and he kept the pendant with him for the rest of his life. In the events of UBW we see Archer "return" her pendant after she forgot it at the school, despite the fact that we also see Shirou take it home with him and keep it safe in a table drawer.

Yeah, she leaves it with Shirou. She doesn't have it when she summons Archer, so it's not a catalyst she's using to summon him. It's a compatibility summon, and just because her compatibility would only work for Archer due to the intense connection doesn't make that not the case.

The Servant holding the catalyst is just... nonsense? Otherwise there's no such thing as a random summon based on the summoner, just catalysed summons. Like, Archer is the definition of a compatibility summon for Rin. It's like saying Gilgamesh summoning Enkidu with no catalysts in hand or on his person would be a catalyst summon, instead of a compatibility one.

... Dude. She summons Archer before Shirou gets Gae Bolg'd. Hell, the Lancer vs Archer fight was what got Shirou Gae Bolg'd in the first place.

Just wait until there are 4 Cu's summoned at the same place at the same time :3

Taylor/Medb/Bazette:

Ritsuka: "Fuck, thank God, there's one extra."

Rika: "Doesn't that mean they'll just fight over who gets two Cus?"

Rits: "My money is on Senpai."

Arash: "I needn't use Clairvoyance to say Master will win."

Scathach: "See, I plan for all scenarios."

she leaves it with shirou after she heals him from getting killed from Lancer

which was after she summoned Archer as the Archer Vs Lancer fight that he stumbled on while at school was the reason he got stabbed to death in the First Place

Finding a compatibility match for Taylor was hard. Tamamo is certainly a decent enough fit, but pairing them together doesn't have as much room for character growth as I would like. Taylor and Cu definitely got along well in Fuyuki, and they'd pair up very well in terms of methods and means and the lines they refuse to cross, but CasCu doesn't stack well into the later game and Gae Bolg trivializes a whole buttload of early game enemies. Karna has some compatibility, too, but he has much the same problem as Cu.

Alright, so all of my knowledge of Fate Grand Order comes second hand, so please correct me if I'm wrong, but...

Isn't Caster Cu actually empowered by/ is secretly Odin? Like the actual Norse God Odin?

I was honestly hoping for someone like Charlie to be summoned, to show Taylor an example of being heroic and self-sacrificing without losing their humanity.

Still, Arash, if you take away game mechanics, is a solid servant even without his NP. most of his stats besides luck and mana are B ranked and above, and his personal skills are A ranked Clairvoyance, A ranked Bow and Arrow Creation, and Robust Health is EX ranked which is a super underrated skill in my opinion. (And not just because it would let him give Serenity all the headpats she deserves)

Outside of stats, he's launched a group of people safely several kilometers away with his archery skills, and is a master hunter.

Arash: "Master if necessary I can get to that city in a moment instead of 5 days!"

Taylor:"How?"

Arash: "Allow me to introduce you to ...:"
Oh yeah! Arash Airlines is ready for lift off people!

Rika &Ritsuka: "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOPE!"

Taylor: "..." (Thinking about it seriously"

Rika & Ritsuka: "IE, NIET, NON, NEIN, NAHI!"

Taylor: "How many languages do you two speak?"

Rika: "For that all of them, even the dead ones, sorry sempai but suddenly I found myself incredibly fond of walking!"

The hell!? I mean yeah sure he isn't a dragon slaying monster killer but I mean come on its freaking Arash! The guy is the gold standard of a hero and is a complete badass.

I swear Arash is going to be such a badass that they'll all be embarrassed about their disrespect!

He is the guy that Ozymandias/Ramses II saw for a single moment and declared him his buddy for life.

I remind you that Ozy is as proud and quirky as Gilgamesh ( even if not as an asshole )

Primarily, dragon's blood would target Siegfried first, and he could very well refuse for fear of bringing another Fafnir into the world, or accidentally dragging the Rheingold along.

Well the clearest reason why that summon failed is...

There's also the fact that Siegfried is already present in the First Singularity. Can't exactly summon him if he's already there.

^This. Poor Sumanai, not makes enough money to have alters ( well at least you got a great swim suit ( Officialy Super Cool Biz, I shit you not ).

Now I want an omake when she summons An essence Taylor, after all she is both a dragon slayer ( if a fake one ) and she used Sumanai too...

Yeah WoG ( Nasu himself ) is that unless she uses an specific catalyst, she will always summon EMIYA, because that catalyst is always with his Servant/CG self, being an insanely important part of his life ( without her, he would have died there, after all ).

Time loops are as doozy as ever. I really like that part of the DEEN Fate, which shows said pendant after his fight with Heracles. It's the only hint of his real name in the entire anime.

*summons Tamamo*
Tamamo: Husband
Rika: there's two of them
Kiyohime: angry yandere sounds
Tamamo: "Oh. Taken already, sorry."
Rika: "I already have enough trouble keeping her off my brother. I don't need you all over him too!"
Tamamo: "No, you don't need to worry. I can work with this."
Rika: "Good."
Tamamo: *Looks at Ritsuka* "Right, brother in law?"
Rika: "Fuck the what, now?"
Tamamo: "Oh, not now. Save it for the honeymoon. I did say I can work with this."
Rika: "... PROTECT ME, FOU!" *throws Fou at Tamamo*

And now for some reason Im imagining Fou flirting with Taylor

Fou looking up at Taylor: "Fou" ("How's it look in good lookin?")

Taylor with Fou wrapped around one leg, one of his paws uselessly trying to reach the wall behind her: *What they fuck is that demonic rat trying to do now?*

Rika fully capable of understanding Fou, laughing her ass off while taking pictures.

Given Arash's entire legend revolves around him sacrificing himself to negate the land loss of a war his country lost, I think he'd be a pretty good example of "heroic sacrifice without losing his humanity" heck, it's literally what he's known for.

....Ya know if you really want to make things chaotic, you could always summon TOHSAKA.

It's probably a good idea to get into Fragments, or at least talk to several different people who have for highlights. While I'm not opposed to canon divergences, it couldn't hurt to get a better look at what Arash is all about as opposed to the snapshots FGO provides.
