That's certainly a theory. So if this was a trap for Marie or Taylor... why they got Jalter and Ritsuka instead? Probably because Taylor has QA playing interference.

Sorry to be off-topic, but is there a vote on for something?
Well. I wonder how Jalter will feel when she winds up knowing Taylor's past? I mean, their endings share similarities, while Taylor was shot in the head after saving the world, Jalter was burned to death after saving France. Hell, Taylor was even reviled by anyone who knew, and was outright damnatio-ed."If that had been me at the end there, I would've taken that thing and shoved it down that asshole's throat," said Jeanne Alter. "For using that hunk of rock to frame the man I love and getting him killed!"
Nah, I'm willing to bet Taylor was the intended target. She's the central support pillar of the current Chaldera. She dies, and it hits everyone hard, especially Marie. And since dying here would leave her soul trapped, that would probably prevent her from becoming a Heroic Spirit. So it makes sense that the event got kicked off early to take her out.And that's why Ristuka was chosen, Taylor would have slammed herself into whatever constitutes Solitary at Chaldea the second she felt this shit going on.
Just the author trying to be vague.
"not your frighteningly competent senior, she scares me too much."
The answer is clearly:
They feel like they need to work their way up to Taylor.
Grand Carnival begs to differ."And neither your sister, I do not fancy getting in RomCom shaeningans."
They're asking about the weird "voting is open" banner on the top and bottom of the thread. Which I have no clue why that's there either.

Did you click something by mistake, @James D. Fawkes? Or is there actually something we're supposed to be voting on?
If I remember correctly wasn't the reason this event is happening at all is because of anyone uttering the king of mages name which was cursed? The real question is if we can find the moment the curse was placed in the stuff already written.
From my memory, the curse was placed the moment Ritsuka looked Goetia in the eye during LondonIf I remember correctly wasn't the reason this event is happening at all is because of anyone uttering the king of mages name which was cursed?
Yes yes yes yes yes yes yes
Huh ya know I never realized that.Especially during the sequence when the Irish mother was telling her children about Tír na nÓg as the ship sank.
LETS GOOOOOOOOOO
Oh my gosh Ritsuka is going to have a bonding experience with both Jeanne and the Count."Jeanne Alter!" Ritsuka couldn't stop himself from shouting.
Jeanne Alter looked back at him over her shoulder and sneered. "Oh, it's you. Even in a shitty place like this, it looks like I can't escape you, can I, Master?"

Not quite. While Taylor started out like that, she didn't end like it.Actually the real reason is because Taylor in Worm had many times she could have taken vengeance on the trio and she never did. So the Count is the most incompatible Servant with her that exists.
We always talk about Foreigner Taylor, but the true horror lurking in the Throne of Heroes is Avenger Taylor, probably around the time of her warlord arc.Remember her vengeance on Taft or whatever his name was. Also Alexandria. Also the time she punched Emma in the shopping mall. She can be vindictive under the right circumstances.
Eh, there's a difference between revenge and killing someone in anger, which is what happened with Tagg and Alexandria. Revenge is usually more calculated, primed to hurt above just physical harm. And Taylor's anger boiling up in short bursts of destruction, that she ultimately or even immediately afterwards looks back on and thinks wasn't helpful, was there from the first chapter, when she smashes up the school bathroom mirror with her backpack (and the art project that was inside it).Not quite. While Taylor started out like that, she didn't end like it.
