Hereafter [Worm x Fate/Grand Order]

Uhm... That title looks like it's supposed to be German, but it isn't. Did you perhaps mean something in the direction of The Dragon-Blooded Hero? In that case it should be Der drachenblütige Held or Der Held mit dem Drachenblut.
I used Middle High German, not modern German. Of course, I'm not an expert on the language, so I'm limited to what my etymological research turns up.

Aug 14 — Chapter XI: Red Hound
Aug 21 — Chapter XII: Wrought Iron Chef
Aug 28 — Chapter XIII: Tyranny of the Light
Sept 4 — Chapter XIV: Sinner and Saint
Sept 11 — Chapter XV: Long Odds
Sept 18 — Chapter XVI: Crest of Blood
Sept 25 — Chapter XVII: Dragon Witch
Oct 2 — Chapter XVIII: Dragonslayer
Oct 9 — Chapter XIX: Der Dracheblutighelt
Oct 16 — Chapter XX: Paladin at Thiers

Interesting name choices.

Thoughts on the meanings and predictions are as follows. Obviously potentially majorly spoilerific, so proceed at your discretion, though these are still just guesses on my part.

11: Cu shows up, probably his Caster form if going by Canon given he is the free 3* for that Singularity. Though maybe both his Lancer and Proto versions will appear as well. We should start to see other Heroic Spirits appearing as well, mostly from Fuyuki though others like Shakespeare and Mata Hari should start gathering as well. They probably will contract to the Twins. Gilgamesh (Archer) should appear sometime before Orleans.

12: EMIYA makes his debut in Chaldea's kitchen, maybe alongside Cat and/or Boudica. The Twins might start practicing the Servant shade form of combat we use in the game. Taylor might start practicing with her Mystic Code/Weapon.

13: Orleans starts, we see the team react to Ars Almadel Salomonis (the ring of light), and they get into contact with the local Leylines. Meet Kiyohime, Eli, Marie, and Mozart? (I forget when exactly they appear in this singularity)

14: Team arrives in town and fights off some Wyverns, Jeanne makes her stunning debut, Gilles performs a Halbeard impression.

15: Big fight against the Wyverns and the enemy Servants, probably ending in a cliffhanger "Shakes Fist".

16: Taylor finally summons her Permanent Servant, I'm personally still rooting for Tamamo, in case I haven't made that abundantly clear by now in this thread. Said Servant has a Big Damn Hero moment.

17: Jeanne Alter makes her debut. Probably mainly an expository chapter with some combat strewn in it. Faffy acts like a puppy.

18: Sumanai (Siegfried) shows up and faces off against Faffy. Probably fails miserably. They escape.

19: We learn more about Sumanai, I mean Siegfried. Explains the curse he has at the moment and how to fix it.

20: Team starts searching for the rumored Dragonslayer to help Suma- "Cough" Siegfried.

When we do get to Siegfried I hope he instinctively covers his crotch the moment he sees Taylor, hell it would be funny for Fafnir to do so too. Sadly you probably have those scenes written out already. But just imagine the reactions from the other characters if whenever Taylor meets any male with the dragon trait they always react that way.

Also don't keep many tabs open in Chrome and kill Chrome after you close it. Plus you know turn off the computer when you go to sleep at night.

I'm enjoying these guesses. Feel free to keep it up.

It's better now than it was. Iunno if maybe it did just need for me to give Chrome a hard restart. Most of my RAM is still being eaten, but not as much, and I'm not having the trouble I was before.

Already ordered new RAM cards. Hopefully, doubling my RAM will leave things a little more comfortable than they were before. They're supposed to come in on Monday.

Backup your bookmarks and passwords, delete Chrome and install from zero, I still think you may be infected by a crypto miner.

My logical brain says that is a no given what Taylor is and what she did but my cracked and humor side of my brain says otherwise.

Hm. It might be possible to bring Aífe into Hereafter after all.

If it happens, it won't be until much later on. It's not going to be Taylor's compatibility summon. But in the right circumstances, it might be possible to bring her in during a later Singularity.

A part of me deeply bet that the one that would get summoned is Nightingale given how both of them are hyper focused on what their goal is and while not have similarity happened, both has startling attitude tbh.

Update on the Middle High German situation: My research has given me Der Trachenbluotige Helt as the most likely version. A capital D for Trachenbluotige is also possible, but a rarer version (that's what happens when spelling isn't standardized).

Nah the tittle is about

^This guy.

In case it wasn't completely obvious in my previous post I really dislike Friedy. He's not only a useless piece of trash in Story for most of Orleans, but he was useless for a couple years after release in Gameplay. And don't even get me started on him in Apocrypha.

Don't blame the character for the writers and the devs not knowing how to properly handle him.

Siegfried would have made a wonderful character to explore, but every time he shows up, he gets sidelined. Apocrypha gives him five minutes of fame, then puts him on the sidelines to occasionally make him Cardboard-kun's spirit guide. FGO gives him five minutes near the end of Orleans, but he's mostly silent and useless for the rest of the Singularity.

Siegfried is the better character design. Sigurd is the better character.

That is true, although the more recent events do have him handled better. The fact that they played his uselessness off as a joke in a few early events was not helpful though.

It's even stupider when you remember his first claim to fame was breaking even with Karna. Remember, the guy who was thrashing Vlad while Vlad was at his strongest? The guy who might also be strong enough to make Gilgamesh take him seriously?

I honestly don't know how it would go if Siegfried and Karna actually fought seriously, no holds barred. I have a feeling Karna would eke out a win, or at least, Karna would win but die, and Siegfried would lose but survive. Vasavi Shakti beats Balmung, generally, although I'm not entirely clear on the canonicity of EX Balmung. But it comes down to whether or not Siegfried could hang on just enough to not die after losing the beam-o-war.

Ironically, the compatibility between Sigurd and Siegfried is horrible, since they both have massive advantages against each other. I think Siegfried would pull out a win, but only because of Armor of Fafnir. It would be another close fight, no matter what.

Point is, I actually like Siegfried. It's going to be hard keeping my mental image of the legendary hero out of the Fate character's canonical personality, but I think I'll handle it well enough to satisfy.

And on a more personal note: NP2 Summer Musashi. It was a whirlwind getting her that far, but it happened. It just cost me any chance of going after Melt and Okita on the next banner. With this, my last main target this year — until Castoria, really — is Spishtar, who I would absolutely get to NP5 if I could. I'd like to take at least one Rinface that far.

Maybe I should start a crowdfund for that? The only prize I can think of to offer for meeting the goal is a realistic painting of Rin, and I'm not sure how much of an incentive that really is.

This shit here --^, not healthy. This is why I get my FGO from Youtube. Gacha isn't Alcohol, Gacha isn't Tobacco, Gacha is Methamphetamine. Once you get started it hooks you and you just invest more and more of yourself into it.

It isn't. But real talk, here? When everything else I spend money on is either a necessity or repaying student loans, being able to spend money on things I want for myself, even if it's a character in a video game that has no intrinsic value, makes me feel a little less horrible about the situation I'm in. When I think too hard on the trap my parents, my grandparents, my family, my teachers, and just society at large backed me into back when I didn't really understand what I was signing up for, I just want to crawl into my bed and cry. All a higher education did was put me in shackles.

The luxury of being able to get upset about not getting the rare item I want in a video game isn't exactly a good feeling either, but it's a damn sight better than crippling depression and helplessness. That's been the best thing about the pandemic: not having to worry, for at least a year and a half, about the mountain I still have to climb. Because sometimes, it feels like I'll never climb it.

Wow, that got heavy. Sorry to derail your reading and speculation with the magazine subscription I'm tackling.

I'm also not entirely serious about the Space Ishtar thing. If I was gonna crowdfund for anything, it would be repaying my student loans. The fact I haven't tried more seriously than to make it a goal on my Ko-fi page should tell you exactly how well I expect it would go.

When Sieg fought Karna he had to spam Balmung back to back to back to just survive Vasavi Shakti, something only possible because Sieg had Bridal Chest and Galvanism to provide energy as fuel.

Something Siegfried lacks. So in a beam-o-war Siegfried solidly loses.

Though any fight between the two of them won't be easy. It'll most likely be Karna's win with mid to mid-high level difficulty. Provided both are adequetly fueled by mana.

Gacha is bad, but I think if you can control yourself and not losing anything significant like your life savings, it's not entirely insane.

It's almost like any other hobby, and if you enjoy Fate stuff, I'd say it's worth it.

Cardboard-kun is not Siegfried. He gets to borrow Siegfried's powers and some degree of his skill, but he's a newborn homunculus who makes up for his lacking experience by spamming power via Galvanism. A properly fueled Siegfried, especially one summoned in Germany, where his dragon core would likely be further emphasized, should perform much better than him.

But Siegfried will still lose in a beam-o-war, by virtue of it coming down to a contest of will, and Karna's will is noted as indomitable. It's just a question of whether or not Balmung can offset Vasavi Shakti enough that Siegfried will be wrecked, but alive to continue fighting.

I honestly like how Sieg turned out in Fate Grand Order, as he has an actual personality and skills that, while derived from his adventures, if you can call them that, from Apocrypha, are uniquely his. Honestly, I just like the idea of Sieg pretending he's a cool, competent adult while secretly seeking praise from Siegfried.

I'll be honest, I like Sieg, Siegfried, and Sigurd. While they may be connected, and not all necessarily liked, they are each their own characters with their own stories and personalities.

One fic that I read that did Sigurd good was Heroic Myth, a DanMachi Fate Crossover, where he ended up being a wise mentor to two of the characters, and being a love-struck goof with Brynhildr... in between Bryn's fits of murderousness at least.

If this Fic is going to do Siegfried right, than I can die happy. I just hope it doesn't sideline or disengage Sieg, because I think his character growth that underwent by the time he appeared in Grand Order makes him more likable. Sieg may have been a Cardboard-kun at first, but at least now he's got an actual personality, right? I mean, I'm rambling at this point.

I just like the idea of Siegfried and Sieg fighting together, side by side.

But! I have no say in how this fic goes, and will be content with whatever comes about. I may hope and wish for Sieg to show up, but that's not up to me. I will look forward to this fic giving Siegfried more of the acclaim he deserves, something he usually gets short-changed on, or at least I'm assuming he's going to get more acclaim. And I'm rambling again, did I ever stop?

I agree with all of this.

Sigurd in Heroic Myth is fantastic.

And Sieg got a lot of well done characterization in FGO.

I'm sure the author can do Siegfried justice without shortchanging anyone if it happens
