Hereafter [Worm x Fate/Grand Order]

JAlter is absolute threat to read in all non-Orleans stories, starting with Shinjuku, as most canonical one.
It also important to remember that she far from worst person Taylor worked with, and if they had frank discussion, there a lot that they agree on.

And if they put JAlter in swimsuit, and fish out Kaleidoscope to boost her, she becomes ultimate opener to any serious fight.

Olga's definitely in a very bad headspace right now. Her hearing people whispering behind her back strikes me as her hearing people whispering and defaulting to the possibility that is most hurtful to her because she's currently trapped in a shell of self-flagellation with Taylor as her only lifeline.

I'm actually worried Olga's going to do something stupid in a bid to prove herself useful, I just hope she can find her place before that happens.

Well at least Jalter should be pretty useful. To this day 5 years after her release even on JP, Jalter still has the highest attack of all servant.

The point of Jeanne Alter is that she isn't part of Jeanne.

Jeanne Alter isn't Jeanne, why should Jeanne apologize for that? Why should she say "Actually, i was lying before, i did actually have selfish hatred afterall."? That sounds like those fanfics that say that Jeanne is inhuman and Jeanne Alter is better because she hates.

Their relationship went well without that, so why?

That scenario and comparisons aren't that good in my opinion.

The point I was try to make was that as much as Jeanne is a good person and a Saint, she is still human and her feeling negative emotions, maybe pain, maybe anger, maybe resentment, the kind of emotions Jeanne Alter feel, the literal powerful negative emotions she was artificially born from, would give the two common ground. The heart of Alter's character issues is that she isn't Jeanne D'Arc. Jeanne herself makes this clear in the first Singularity. So what is Jeanne Alter? That is the question that has defined her ever since in the game, from her debut event DaVinci 's notebook, to even the modern day to a pretty satisfying result.

But despite not being Jeanne, there's no one else she can really compare herself to. Well, besides the other Alters. So she is forced to constantly compare herself to the 'perfect Saint Jeanne D'Arc. And further, despite that, Jeanne continues to treat Alter like family out of the kindness of her heart. She realizes Alter isn't her, but still wants to treat her well.

The problem then arises that Jeanne refutes Alter's emotional foundation at the very end of Orleans, saying that she never felt Alter's anger or pain at her betrayal and death.

The way I see it, this refutation is a satisfying way to shoot down Alter's revenge scheme to burn the world, but also creates a complicated feeling in Alter. She isn't Jeanne, and Jeanne isn't her. Jeanne is a too good for the world kindly Saint who doesn't feel the pain and anger that defined Alter's birth and current existence and that creates this distance between the two which is aggravated by Jeanne trying to treat her like a sister.

Having Jeanne admit to having negative emotions, whether the same pain and anger or others, even just temporary during the betrayal, the imprisonment, and/or the trial makes her feel more human and would create an emotional common ground that could open up Alter to being more receptive to Jeanne's attempts to treat each other like family.

And in my opinion feeling those negative emotions and still choosing to forgive everyone involved in her death and then dying without regrets or hate would make Jeanne a better person, a greater Saint. Because forgiveness is hard, especially when you're the one being personally wronged.

If you want to disagree, that's fine. I just thought it was just a fun prompt. Indeed, thank you for disagreeing with it.

Is not as if Jeanne is incapable of negative emotions *Cough*Shakespare*Cough*, but if something is not broken don't fix it, although i suppose that in your case, you want to add more depth to the relationship, well, in the end the author is the one with the final say anyway.

Edit: And i don't think Jeanne would lie about not feeling hatred when she spent the whole singularity doubting herself.

Internally, she winced. Ugh, that made her sound stupid, didn't it? Couldn't she have come up with a better cover for what she'd been thinking about? Something that didn't make her look like an easily impressed idiot?

In which we discover Olga's resurrection somehow made her into a Demi-Servant fused with Mandrecardo.

attempt to summon a specific Servant by bypassing the necessity of a catalyst and using your own intent and willpower instead.
"That's Jeanne Alter."

Rejoice!

The Desire Sensor has struck again!

Rasm frasm newbies pulling Jalter on a single pull of her banner, meanwhile i still can't get her after 3+ years of whaling grumble
Jokes aside, Jalter is sure to be an interesting addition to the party! Can't wait for the Masters to share a glance after an outburst of Tsun-Tsun and wonder 'This is the terror that murdered thousands in Orleans?'
Also should be nice as the first example (EDIT: Second. Managed to forget Emiya in Fuyuki) of the Chaldeans needing to ally with someone who very recently tried to murder them, which they'll probably have to do a lot of.

Not just tried to murder them, but was actively part of the plot to destroy human history.

I think the latter will be more meaningful, especially for Taylor.

"Get yourself together, you stupid girl," she whispered to herself harshly. "Who's going to follow a Director that's falling apart at the seams?"

"I would."
Ha! Yeah, sorry Olga, there was no way you were going to make it through the whole chapter without someone walking in on one of these moments. Chances were that it was going to be Taylor, though, so it's for the best.

And Olga Marie…didn't really have an answer to that. It was no less true than before that her mistake had gotten almost two-hundred people killed, and the weight of that clung to her, but the instant she tried to give voice to it, she remembered the scenes of that final battle. She remembered watching through LAPLACE as Taylor fumbled and stumbled her way from battlefield to battlefield, throwing scores of her allies at a pitiless god one after the other in a desperate bid to buy enough time and space to figure out how to beat him.

She was pretty sure a lot more than two-hundred people had died in that battle.
The parts of the battle where Khepri was in control had remarkably low fatalities, with most counts putting them at less than 100, but overall? Yeah. It was a very bad day for capes, and for humanity in general.

Marie really needs theropy, and I am not surprised that Jeanne got summoned as an alter, Taylor was involved in the summoning. I can easily see any summon of Taylor being either an alter or martyr
Pff. I have to wonder how long it would/will take for that pattern to be recognized.

The potential rumors are delicious.

I wonder if you can do Saint Dowsing with Jeanne Alter? To perform a Saint Dowsing, you ask the Saint in question to focus their Guidance on what they seek, Blindfold them, Spin them around and follow where they dizzily walk next. Repeat as needed and you'll get where you're needed.

Why does this sound like something canon? besides, Jalter has no Divine Guidance.

You say that, but EMIYA's been here the whole time since Fuyuki.
... how the hell could i forget about the Househusband's crimes. Lemme fix that real quick-

Just remembered next singularity gives us two fun things, assuming no significant deviations. Euryale had a fairly big role which should be fun considering she's identical to Stheno outside her Class, and we get the Gentlest Giant, the Goodest of Boys Asterios to boot! I foresee Rika greatly enjoying the Floof

gm as a whole was more than a day and it did open with the uk getting vaporised so the final fights death toll isn't that large in comparison. Casualties are bigger than you'd think though ward says Five thousand, two hundred and twelve parahumans had attended the final confrontation against Scion. Two-thirds of them had survived.

Now that's over 1700 capes dead and it doesn't specify what it counts as the final confrontation as in whether it's Kephri's fight as a whole or just the final bit in new york but it's a lot.

That is precisely why she would be the optimal person to have an intervention because, she knows how hard it is to keep your head in the game.

Problem is, Servants can't really change.

They are not really people, they can change their mind about things but not really grow as a person. Arthuria is different because she never died and is using a copy of her real body.
