could be indicative they weren't always nevernever beings like the fae though honestly maybe the faes well faeness is just special in some variety for why their still so close to the mortal world. We'll probably do a quick debrief of her.
If she can tell us something, anything, of how she got grabbed, it might qualify. Or if she can tell us a secret about how her grandfather created that massive ward, or who her emergency contact is supposed to be if anything happens to her granpa.
Lots of people harbor lots of secrets.
But Im still fairly confident that breaking into an unmapped area of Undertown for the very first time probably counts as a Chicago-area secret. As does discovering the...varied diet of ghouls.
Even witnessing Gard deactivate the sleep spell might count as a secret; its an old Norse spell, and so not unlikely to be mainstream magic. Definitely supernatural, at least.
Definitely corpse.
I remember the ghoul that Dresden buried to its neck next to an anthill.

-Industrial machinery is huge, specialized and expensive. Noone buys any without a warranty and a service contract.
Unlikely. The same caveats about industrial equipment apply. Can we create a thing that grows gems in a way that allows them to be imperfect so that if you had it appraised it would look like a natural gem?
Ghouls are basically the victims of a single mechanical Flaw. ~2 point Flaw I think.I'm pretty sure the canon is that super ghouls are the straight nevernever variety, and that sometimes they rape people without killing them after, which results in a first generation "mortal" ghoul that actually leaves a corpse when killed. Which eventually can grow into full lineages of their own.
You can't cure a ghoul because it isn't a disease, it's what they are.
Turning them into bakemono might be enough to curb their appetite, but that's just trading afflictions not returning them to some hypothetical healthy baseline.
I don't think the need for massive amounts of meat and strong pressure to get some of it from humans is a 2 point flaw.Ghouls are basically the victims of a single mechanical Flaw. ~2 point Flaw I think.
Mercy in Servitude probably works to put the appetite in check. Might be able to pass on a Merit with VED.
But ultimately doing anything for a group of ghouls is probably a subplot in its own right, mechanically represented by a terrestrial level sorcerous working as per 3E.
So some thoughts I accumulated while catching up:
I remember reading some very interesting comments on using Tool Constructs to make gemstones. An idea occurred to me though: Has there been any discussion on instead creating the machines that make gemstones? Use our tools to make tools as it were. They wouldn't benefit from the 5x speed multiplier, but they also wouldn't require us to babysit them for days.
Diamonds might be harder but a machine for making sapphire could be nothing more then a highly specialized and precise forge.
For that matter, has there been discussion about using Tool Constructs for chemistry? The sheer number of things that we could make is crazy.
Yes that is true for other sorts of crafting too.
But have you considered what we could make out of thin air. Well not just thin air. We would need some water too for hydrogen.
Chemistry is at its base the ability to turn one pile of elements into another pile of the same elements in a different configuration. And modern chemical plants do so at a terrifying rate. Thousands of tons per a day. With our tools we could process as fast as we can get our hands on the base ingredients.
I guess we may need a level in Science to do so, but a single level is pretty cheap right? Chemistry isn't exactly the sort of thing with much need for over-achievement.
Same thing with Medicine. Being able to patch together our allies if they get hurt for lack of a consequence free magical healing method would work pretty well. Speed surgery with Tool Constructs would be pretty cool too. Both for style points and because time is critically important in emergency medicine. "This operation would normally take thirty minutes, but your going to bleed out in ten so I'll be done in six".
I mean, we could sell to North Korea, Iran and the like. Like, we could make tens of billions at the very least by making a cutting edge chip fabber and selling it to North Korea or Iran.-Industrial machinery is huge, specialized and expensive. Noone buys any without a warranty and a service contract.
Its not a need, its a want.I don't think the need for massive amounts of meat and strong pressure to get some of it from humans is a 2 point flaw.
That seems more like a massive issue.
1)Iran, NK and the like want warranties and service contracts too. Else they are taking stuff on faith that you arent a Western intelligence plot to sabotage their industrial capability and simultaneously drain their forex reserves. If a part fails they are stuck trying to wrangle a very expensive paperweight.I mean, we could sell to North Korea, Iran and the like. Could also make pretty good money by manufacturing custom vacuum chambers on demand (yeah, I know, I am coming from my own job's perspective). No service needed there, and it's craft metal, not technology (I think). Cryostats and the like too, for that matter, now that I think about it. Custom built vacuum chambers easily go for at least hundreds of thousands of dollars. More advanced (with more flanges and precision axis alignment) or larger ones for millions. You'd need very clean room equipment, electron gun welding, double or even triple layered walls, special steels, etc.
We could make good money in scientific equipment, and in sectors where no service is expected, now that I think of it.
This, at least, can be addressed - they can pay in gold.Furthermore, they cant pay us easily.
Their access to the world financial system is limited and heavily monitored.
Boiling Sea Mastery takes care of that.Wait. Gold. The Merchant Royal. An undiscovered shipwreck carrying 1.5 billion in gold bullion. Waiting at the bottom of the sea. No supernatural stuff. Just a lost ship. Rent a ship, and swim down to grab the gold. We just need to fill the diving suit with Clorox so we don't have to worry about oxygen.
Which is why the latest ides might well be ideal. It's a one-off action that nets us close to a billion dollars, thus solving our money issues forever. Not sure about others but I want to play the Invincible Sword Princess, not Capitalism Ho.

Remember people fretting about drawing attention from a measly two hundred million dollar lottery?Boiling Sea Mastery takes care of that.
Would also enhance our swim-speed and makes everything easier while we are wet.
Another good, cheap Charm for rounding out our build soon.
Edit: it also takes care of any pressure-issues while deep-diving.
We already have attention of FBI on us. And this is actually quite legit. The only question would be "how did she get the gold out".Remember people fretting about drawing attention from a measly two hundred million dollar lottery?
Imagine the attention from recovering a billion and half of gold bullion, plus all the rest in silver and pieces of eight .
And doing so by having Molly free dive in deep water, despite no previous experience.
in fairness many nevernever species probably have a human origin even if they are in no way human now. Not that I think we're capable of anything like curing them.I'm pretty sure the canon is that super ghouls are the straight nevernever variety, and that sometimes they rape people without killing them after, which results in a first generation "mortal" ghoul that actually leaves a corpse when killed. Ah, I must have misspoke. In respect to gemstones I didn't mean: Make Industrial machinery -> sell Industrial machinery.-Industrial machinery is huge, specialized and expensive. Noone buys any without a warranty and a service contract.
-However, useful drugs and chemicals all have a rigorous and complicated inspection and regulation scheme for producers and buyers/resellers. Those are standards that Molly cannot meet, because when asked about an inspection of her production facilities, she doesnt have any.
-The most common chemistry projects we can work are illegal pharmaceuticals like fentanyl and meth, which are incredibly profitable per gram, but which Molly has ethical and personal objections to. Plus, she then has to deal with organized crime.
Not really her thing.
-Yes, we can use Tool Constructs for surgery. We are trying to avoid the need though.
