Green Flame Rising (Exalted vs Dresden Files)

That's because, at least in my opinion, top tier shinies seemed too close. Why spend AP crafting intermediate equipment, when you can wait a turn, and go for the top tier equipment? At least I think that was the reasoning.

We definitely should start crafting as soon as the Forge is ready.
Okay I get it I really do splendors are cool but prodigies can do a variety of things splendors cannot without costing an arm and a leg up to and including being magical armor that we don't need to spend Divine corpses to make. Two of the prodigies that I suggested we make would have literally helped us make the god of Chicago and possibly The Fortress in South America and would help us in the planning stages of every Arcana going forward.
Lock in Choker the slight enchantment on this Clockwork choker locks the back when it detects the emotional state of the owner requires complete attentiveness and unlocks when the user calms again. This is largely an interesting party trick but should the need arise the owner can also pay one willpower. To force the locking mechanism to open. Does not require Attunement.

Rationale: Its a one dot Prodigy directly in the same vein as the ever lucky set of cards or dice or the cup that neutralizes all poisons essentially a mood ring that has a lock on it. That's elevated to two dots by its lack of Attunement cost. it is particularly or well actually useful for us but as far as I know that doesn't effect dot rating.
Ever Ready Draft Roller Any paper that goes through this press is perfectly ruled and design features and line making is immaculate seemingly drawn from the very intent of the person applying marks to it.
Drafting or designing on this paper multiplies the speed at which Preparations (Designs, Blueprints, Schematics ect...) can be done by 2. The paper gives no protection against 'Bad' design if the design is faulty or very obviously flawed the lines and the drafting will be perfect but the mechanisms won't be. Does not require Attunement.

Rationale: it's a magical press that makes drafting paper. The drafting paper contains the effect imparted by the Press. I don't want to say it's exceptional equipment drafting paper but it's not exactly overtly supernatural either.
Both of which were approved.
As in exalted as in real life equipment begets equipment. You build the tools to make the tools prodigies are how we make magical instruments that allow us to overcome/ be more efficient at we do. This is also on top of the fact I've said this before but
On the most obvious front is that they're complimentary. Any armor Splendor would essentially be a charm activated that has a longer up time rather than scene long. Overlaying or layering over any real armor that we have also they cost Essence to activate or cost Faith or ki or any other Supernatural resource worth mentioning unless they have the form of hero shadow.

Same goes for any weapon really they require some kind of material anchor if they're going to not require summoning at which point just having a prodigy sword is considerably better, heck I've been kind of planning around that Synergy for a while now.
In principle sure you could design a pair that synergizes, though it really depends what you want to make. Generally speaking lateral improvements are going to work a lot better than just making a prodigy do task A and then have a splendour do that task even better. As an example don't try to stack two kinds of magic to make the Sharpest Sword TM, but a splendour that adds some kind of synergy is fine
It'a a question of economy of actions. Boost our kingdom, and get it to produce low level alchemical stuff for us, and equipment. Use the tools we have that are superior to what other exalts have instead of trying to cosplay as a sh*tty solar.
We are at the moment literally the best exalted Crafter at all end of story we're not cosplaying as anything when we choose to make decent equipment for ourselves.
Also just in case people forget or whatever splendors require manifestation if (Heroes Shadow) they are not attached in some intrinsic way to something. They also have a number that can be attuned at any given moment the second we have a four or five dot Splendor that takes up two spots out of a currently four spot roster while prodigies can be made to not require Attunement slots.
An Exalt may be simultaneously attuned to a number of Splendors equal to her Essence rating. 4 and 5-dot Splendors "take up" 2 Essence worth of capacity
Splendors normally lie dormant inside of a character's anima or spirit. Before it can provide any benefits, a Splendor must first be summoned. This requires a turn of concentration and the expenditure of one point of Essence (or, in the case of un-Exalted owners, of a point of
Quintessence, blood, Chi, Sekhem, Gnosis, or whatever else).
I hope this covers everything.

@Degorium I'll definitely vote for whatever plan you got cooking up if you include those splendors you're making.

We've been handing out too many goodies, we gotta start eating our own cooking.

True true completely agree unfortunately requires AP clone or otherwise.

Prodigies require Molly's personal AP which has demands and apparently we can't spare even a single one on Crafting anything God I just wanted one AP for craft just one we could have had it all.

The reason I was focusing on sorcery so much it was because Mana manipulation and fortune or hell even conveyance would all give multimodal capability that do not rely on Essence to use and would not take AP to use which means we would actually be able to use it.

Sorry this might seem like sour grapes but I made the poison resistance marbles the XP discount potions and I've made so many more sense and just can't get any level of buy-in to anything outside of that which feels kind of bad because we still don't have those poison resistance marbles despite getting them approved and them being imminently helpful in all situations with any type of poison no AP buy in not even clone.

Heck even tried to put some research potion recipes for clone AP nothing. It just seems like if the power cannot be used on the spot it just won't be used.
I don't actually disagree with you on most of this, and appreciate the work you've put in on the alchemical recipes. We've got a lot on our plate right now, but I at least am interested in expanding how we use it.

This is true enough but I just want us to use our crafting on us personally just once. We bought the exalted crafting charm so long ago no prodigies no splenders for us only other people

I think part of the problem is a lack of agreement on what specifically to make. Everyone engaged with crafting has their own pet projects and doesn't really prioritize crafting as a whole so much as crafting their specific thing.

At some point it's going to become a requirement to keep operating. Hell is other exalts.
