Green Flame Rising (Exalted vs Dresden Files)

If Mab had Intellectus, Nemesis would have never gotten to Maeve.
Same with Titania and Aurora.
Intellectus is not omniscience completely it's in specific areas of omniscience at best. Dresden has said as much mab is likely to have some form of it. For example she could have it specifically for arctis tor itself and not the inhabitants inside.

I'd note he's almost certainly going to look for instruction elsewhere if he gets nothing at home.

None of the Carpenters ever had a good role model for just quietly staying out of trouble...father, mother, family friend, and now the eldest sister

Fair point.
Daniel in canon up and threw himself into the Chicago Defence Alliance formed after Dresden died and the Fomor started attacking.
This was after seeing his father shot by Denarians and his sister becoming the bogeywoman known as the Ragged Lady.

Citation please.
To my recollection Mab isnt on the list of candidates for Intellectus.
The Mothers are, but she isnt.

He's 13 though.
Nobody sane would put him at risk.

If Daniel asked the situation might be different.

Intellectus can also be real specific skinwalkers can do it specifically towards how to best torture someone, archive with the written word, a valkyrie of the honored dead and their deeds, mother summer and winter towards something, demonreach, and whatever the fuck Mac is.

[X] You know what? Fine, but dad gets to veto which subjects I am allowed to teach you.
There are plenty of things that can be safely taught. Most of the abilities in the 'knowledges' section of our character sheet seem to be generally useful without being dangerous.

I never said she had it dresden has just surmised at some point a being like mab could have it which obviously she could even if she did though it would obviously be towards something specific like air and darkness or even just the land of arctis tor. I doubt it would give shit like thoughts

Just realized I marked down Matthew's age as eleven when it is in fact thirteen. Don't worry about the error showing up in a vote, if it does I'll fix it by default so no need to revote over it.

Maybe we can introduce him to brother Divsimar to train in Shih martial arts or something, this seems like a reasonable option given that brother Divsimar is likely to try to avoid getting involved in most of our dangerous shit

That stuff can notably kill you if overused and takes many years to learn. Also we are uniquely in a position to be skilled in it and of enough importance to teach our sibling is not unless he wants to be a fucking monk.

This seems like a good move, really. Molly cares about her siblings and any form of teaching is a reason to spend time with them and build human connections. She also actively would be happy to see them grow stronger and more capable for obvious reasons. But teaching them has strong odds of setting them at odds with their parents... which can be neatly dodged by allowing Michael to restrict the subjects which she teaches, thereby demonstrating to her parents that she's deferring to them/being responsible yet foisting any resentment from her siblings for lack of teaching/being stifled onto their parents instead of taking the relationship hit personally.

The relationship dynamics involved are what matters the most, really, because Molly has no teaching charms yet and might not get any for a while, so she's not going to be doing any of the ridiculous stuff that Exalted potentially could.

Man, this vote is all over the place. But I like the idea of Super Sensei training to make the family ridiculously buff, possibly cruising through school.

[X] Tell him to get dads permission, then we'll talk.
-[X] What you teach doesn't need to be something relating to combat. "Utility" knowledge is something you could teach relatively safely without putting temptation of going out to fight in front of them.
