We hardly have to content ourselves with students. Just get False Springs Beckons or VEE then look up professionals in their field who have serious health problems. Steven Hawking is still alive even.We should consider what Molly is going to study in general. Political science? Some manner of STEM (engineering?)? History / psychology / anthropology?
But yes, one of the reasons I think we should go to Harvard is that it gives us access to Earthside recruits from both the faculty and students. Joining a sorority and setting it up to filter a never-ending stream of new talented teens to subvert seems like a grand idea.
I'd say political science or law, because we could use that as justification for dots in a few different things and essentially let the FCF telecommute through a through education on a slice of earth based legal and political stuff. We should consider what Molly is going to study in general. Nah we can just use mortal sorcery dispels if we need to, those work against all magics and with our pool we would be ungodly good. Might need to buy them tho.1)You evidently havent read the books.
Sympathy is a strong magical principle in this setting, as are blood relationships.
After the fetches kidnapped Molly in June, Dresden found Molly by using Charity as the focus.
And that was the entire plot of Changes.
Thats why Dresden's daughter was kidnapped, and it was also how the Red Court was destroyed when Dresden used the prepared ritual to kill the youngest Red Court vampire at the time.
2)You dont counter it.
You disrupt attempts to use people to work the ritual, but that requires that you know the potential victims that could be used.
McCoy didnt know that Maggie was a thing when the Red Court were trying to use her to kill him.
Actually countering something like that is probably outside Molly's current capabilities.
Maybe if we get Ancient Sorcery's Counterspell, but while it would counter any such ritual coming at Molly, I dont think it would counter stuff she wasnt present for.
Why are we spending AP on university. It doesn't seem worth it at all, its literally yeara long reduction in our actions.I'd say political science or law, because we could use that as justification for dots in a few different things and essentially let the FCF telecommute through a through education on a slice of earth based legal and political stuff.
I am reminded of rules lawyering done by Sidereal players. Since their perfect defenses work by fate on any deleterious or unwanted effect even if they are not actually aware of the attack the argument goes that they can therefore use Duck Fate to save any allies or mentors written on their character sheet. That was the result of a Mundane crazy who failed.
The Carpenters have that security stuff because of the whole god helps those who help themselves thing. They aren't the sort who expect god to hold their hands all day.
Even then, its worth noting how ridiculous it is that no assault on it has ever benefited the people to do so. That's so improbable it basically makes plot armor canon.
Actual Celestine level entities act as security in site, and follow them around out of the house. They aren't there on vacation.
At minimum Uriel is going to notice and send the knights after you for trying this shit.
I don't think that's a thing outside of char gen, you need an explanation for how you got the training.
Not sure if law is worth it, at least as the primary area of education. Molly should have some understanding of it, and economics, both micro and macro, but she has people for minutae. Political science is probably the best bet. Alternatively, checking the list of Harvard undergraduate programs, folklore and mythology, or history in one of its form might work well.I'd say political science or law, because we could use that as justification for dots in a few different things and essentially let the FCF telecommute through a through education on a slice of earth based legal and political stuff.
Fairly sure it was stated that, for things that aren't modern mortal magic or martial arts, which didn't and couldn't exist in the Age of Legends, Molly is mostly remembering and integrating half-forgotten excellencies of her exaltation's past life when buying Abilities. I.e. yes, we could buy dots in Politics right now, and it would be Molly having a dream about some abstract political science mental exercise her exaltation's previous wielder had, and that her current mind is interpreting.I don't think that's a thing outside of char gen, you need an explanation for how you got the training.
Being an exalt covers for a lot, but some things are a touch out of scope.
University is not about education. It's about recruiting, and about alumni organizations, and about taking over the area. In four years (the time it normally takes to graduate, though I wouldn't mind graduating early), Molly, at the current rate of progress, will be E5, and thoroughly exceeding all mortal capabilities in all relevant fields. The time we spend in university is best spent setting up nets to recruit gifted Earth-side people, to slip our agents into mechanisms of power. Why are we spending AP on university. It doesn't seem worth it at all, its literally yeara long reduction in our actions.
If our goal is to gain mortal world influence than we should be more focused on forming a megacorp. It has the benfit that being the owner of a megacorp gives you massive influence in poltics and business and it gives us access to transnational influence as well. As well as allowing us to do things like rolling out super tech computers that each usages prayer for a hypothetical god of the internet.I don't think that's a thing outside of char gen, you need an explanation for how you got the training.

The degree isn't the important part though, subverting the academic establishment and access to people through it are.
All the social skills in the world do not matter when you're not in the room and don't have a history. Being at a school like Harvard is how you get into the room to make impressions, to make the old boys club work for you.
This is especially important for Molly, because her social skills are almost exclusively based in small group direct relationships and information games. She'd go through that sort of network like a great white shark in an Olympic pool full of salmon.
Remember, the primary impetus behind Harvard thing is Odin trying to get us out of Chicago. And he's doing this for two reasons: prevent a massive war that might erupt due to us staking a claim and aggressively expanding, and to secure mystical Harvard territory (this is our incitement - an offer of mostly unprotected territory and resources, including Dragon Nests). Harvard itself is incidental to that. The primary thing is the ability to secure the area mostly unopposed and to set up our own little kingdom. Of course, this was before our Kingdom was a thing.I just think it is not a worthwhile use of AP to go to college when we can be just gain those benfits through other routes.
Technically those aren't mutually exclusive, you can decide "not right now" and still read up on them.Looks like we have a tie.

[X] If you do end up going to Harvard you might look them up then. For now... you're not going to go out of your way to meet the people who barely family even to their own daughter.
[X] Use a mix of cyber devils and crown questions (via pictures from the internet) to get a better view of the status of Charity's extended family and what happened to her parents after she ran away.
[X] Yes, they are family and like Mom said there are worse out there, some of which you have spoken to and allied
[X] No, they don't deserve to be part of your family after what they did to Mom

But why would we agree to that. We can just take over chicago, we already have in with the white court and that is the only major facton here. Neither winter or summer are going to be a problem for us as well.Remember, the primary impetus behind Harvard thing is Odin trying to get us out of Chicago. Uh, no, that wasnt a mundane. Wasnt even a crazy per se.That was the result of a Mundane crazy who failed.

Like what massive war??
