Green Flame Rising (Exalted vs Dresden Files)

Thing is, part of countering Pockets of Safty is Lord of the Land.

Lord of the Land is essentially terraforming powers.

So that is not avoidable if pockets are choosen.
I don't think it's that important. Lord of the Lands can get us more habitable space, yeah, but it would only be just a difference between current tens of billions population in just the pockets, and possible future hundreds of billions or even trillions of population across the whole realm. Do we really need it? I personally don't see why we would.

And defence features of the Lord of the Lands are not required because the realm has these defence features as it is.

On the other hand, without the Lord of the Land we still have current circular safe strip of mostly good terrain with five densely populated cities with tens of billions of inhabitants overall, that's already so many. And in the future there would be more standard expansion options, into the forests of the circular strip and even into the nearby wilds with domed cities and underground arcologies, as I remember Yog mentioned it.

Lord of the Land is great fluff (because it's us learning to control our world-body), and it's relevant combat-wise, because, as I recall, it was ruled that when manifesting Shintai with Kingdom signature, we would be able to use it in real world within the area affected by the signature charm effect. I think that was the reason for initial push for it.

Poor Michael, it's really been one of those days for him, you know?

Wakes up and has breakfast with the family. Good day so far, no missions from God, no missions to help Molly with. Cool. Let's watch Saturday morning cartoons with the little ones. And make an effort to specifically not think of them as Jawas; thanks for that, Molly...

Then disaster strikes and a wild Skinwalker appears. And of course it targets Molly through her friends. Par for the course at this point. Time to strap on the Sword and get to work.

But wait, the Skinwalker agrees to free the hostages, and without violence? Weird, but okay, let's roll with it. Hold up, what's this about Broken Seeker doing the monster equivalent of flirting with his little girl?

And then the Sword starts talking to him! This would normally be a momentous occasion. Since when do they do that? Wow, what a day! And now it's getting even weirder. A realm into which Amoracchius cannot enter? Huh?

Something is going on with Molly, though, something strange and worrisome. Can't focus on the Sword being strange...

And then Michael goes to Hell.

For my part I don't think the faction as described in Yog's design is too much of a threat. It's enough to make some things interesting, and if we screw up hard possibly worse, but it's not like they're going to be seeking to collaborate against us with outsiders or something.

Molly is a conflicted person in a lot of ways, so a little internal conflict is actually pretty fitting in a reflection of her.

[X] Fivefold Courts of Frozen Fate no Rebels no Lord of the Land
[X] MU – THE WORLD THAT WASN'T

A lot of impressive stuff but I really don't want the Resistance Movements popping up. Feel like Molly already had too much enemies.

It would be interesting, but we have two unconscious mortal friends with us. Which is why I favor appearing in a private bedroom in the palace, where we can leave them to recuperate, and then go sit in the big chair.
Meant to comment on this earlier. Is it really good to leave them alone in an unfamiliar place, especially if they would still be unconscious? And that's regardless of whatever Kingdom variant will win.

Izzy and Alec underwent an ordeal, they could have died, and now they are transported to wherever that is unfamiliar, magical and scary. Molly should be there to reassure, comfort and support them and to explain the situation to them, and not leave them alone for any time during the visit.

If the Fivefold courts win, specifically, could the party of five even appear unnoticed for any notable amount of time for Molly to have time to go to the chair? The Palace is the church and the governmental meeting place, it has staff and security personnel to support operations, and, given advanced technology and cyberpunk flavor, the best surveillance systems 20XX technology and magic working together can provide.

What do you think of the following? Molly appears sitting on the throne, the ensuing lightshow immediately confirming her credentials, Harry, Michael, Izzy and Alec appear closely nearby, and Molly says something to the tune of "Greetings, before anything else, I would like medical assistance for my friends here."?

Aren't those proposals rather regimented for Molly? As has been said she leads personally; being a charismatic warlord I would say.

Shouldn't there be more metal rager with strategic destruction laser unicorns?

So, if Amoracchius is allowed to talk to Michael, but is just bad at talking with mortals... @DragonParadox what would we be rolling to teach Amorachhius human languages? Or should we just roll with it and teach Michael Old Realm?

In my case Resistance Movement was very specifically designed not to pop up, and, even if poked with a stick, to be contained within a specific area and unable to affect things outside of it.

As written they're not any more dangerously aggressive or expansive than the hordes of random monsters in other options.

I think the point scale is a good sanity check on the flaws. You get one point back for it, which should moderate the expectation on how bad it is. It's peer to having dangerous plants in the wilderness.

Ultimately even when they're not convenient in all ways the hell isn't supposed to be a curse on the creating infernal even with the flaws.

Just to make things clear if you take resistance movement in the forms of the tribes holding the prison or anything else you can use diplomacy to solve the problem eventually. Similarly like your hell can fall in loyalty if you are a bad enough ruler to them. Molly is not a Yozi for whom the concept of free will was a dangerous anomaly that got them thrown into the cosmic trash-heap, she is a child of the Fifth Age, believer in a religion that puts a premium on free will.

Heartwarming. And nice to know.

I prefer Yzarc's plan but I can accept the Fivefold Courts with no Rebels, if we had rebels I would feel compelled to remove them (preferably non-lethally) for mechanical reasons and I really don't want to have that kind of moral quandary interfere with my enjoyment of the quest. I would prefer to just leave things ready to go from the beginning.

Removing rebels (by means of diplomacy and/or conquest of the Great Labyrinth) is one of the intended options of the build.
