I just had an idea. Potentially stupid.

Are there such things as... rods from god? Can you use them?
There were nukes that destroyed souls and created shadow lands.

There are tactical artillery in the form of lightning strikes.

There are orbital bases with Death Star Lasers.

There is a Scientific Ninja Team Gatchaman Bird Jet with a death laser...

So, Lucifer's Hammer or Rods from the Sky wouldn't be an unknown thing... Just likely a solar flying REALLY high and using their OP archery charms.

Yeah, but I'm thinking of a terrestrial circle sorcerer, that got really really pissed off, and decided to start dropping Rods of enchanted iron onto the villas of a dragonblooded he hated.

Sorry, this is kinda dumb. But I find the image hilarious for some reason.

Unlikely as you'd need something better than terresterial circle...

There's no outer space in Creation. The sky is literally a dome. There is, however, precedent for WMDs in the form of the Thousand Forged Dragons or whatever they were called and the Soul Breaker Orbs.
Mmm, I mean, the Nocturnals fansplat did a lot to explore just how big that dome is, and how it has its own ecosystem, and part of that was some pretty cool material about comets that might kind of let you do something like a Rod from God, as a major quest, but overall I'd say this is territory pretty well covered by casting Rain of Doom.

Of course, Nocturnals was on the old WW boards and it was never updated for 2.5e, let alone 3e, and almost certainly never will be given the way I hear it the author was personally harassed out of the community by hatewheel. I did find a mirror of the original PDF here though.

Wait what?

Wasn't Holden also a bastard, or was Morke the one doing creepy cult leader mandatory Skype sessions where one member of the dev team got ritually humiliated by the rest?

...For the uninformed.... what happened now?

TL;DR: hatewheel turned out to be a sexually harassing shitbag while Holden made excuses and generally defended him, which led to both of them getting fired. This actually explains a lot of the more uncomfortable parts of 3E in hindsight (see: the Abyssals preview). You should be able to find out more pretty easily by Googling it.

Unsurprisingly, they're still friends to this day and happily pretending that they're genuine progressives and not walking piles of human garbage. Fucking bastards.

I'm reminded of how Beast: the Primordial's victim-blaming/"I'm hurting people for their own good!" shittiness became a lot more understandable after the author was revealed to be a child molester.

And maybe tell me whether it'd be a good idea to add more Charms, while you're at it. @Crumplepunch has some good homebrew that I'd like to rip off, but the set is already larger than the canon one and I'm not sure about expanding it further.

Feel free to pick over ACoD for anything you like. Unfortunately I won't be producing any more homebrew for public use because I'm writing for Exalted for realsies now and competing content is discouraged.

All right, so Geist 2e krewe rules and mechanics...

Thanks for the rundown. Looks like a pretty solid set of rules, but I don't know if it's the kind of thing I'd want for Exalted.

I like Nocturnals as a whole, and the dome of the sky setting was my favourite part of it. Would love to play a game there sometime.

I know some of what John did, but I've got no clue what happened between him and Reminiscent Oasis. Care to fill me in?

Wow, it seems like they've been snapping up a lot of the best homebrewers lately.

I look forward to seeing what you put out.

Its a truly appalling game even without that context, with the context it upgrades to straight up horrifying.
