Precog does not stop eye breakage.

No, but Instinct A would practically assure Saber knew it was coming and that she had to react immediately to save her life.

One of Excalibur's best features, and one of the few ways it beats out Ea, is that it is fast. It's pretty much swing and blast the hell out of the target.

Unless Arturia has a very good reason to not use Excalibur, Flan aiming to break Arturia's eye would be a race to see whether Flan can break Arturia before Excalibur can annihilate Flan with holy power. Not a bet I'd want to make, far too uncertain.

Saber Alter, significantly better odds.

.....
like how a certain king of hero's tried to do the same thing? Cause will Saber is bullshit, her level of bullshit is lower then his.

Actually no, Saber is legit better than Gilgamesh in this regard. If that had been Saber, she'd have known Flan was about to kill her before Flan even started moving. Gilgamesh didn't see it coming until we started moving.

Seriously, go reread Saber's fights with Sasaki. She literally senses Tsubame Gaeshi coming and how to avoid it, despite never seeing it before.

Instinct A is bullshit.

... right, ya fanboy you are, considering the fact that Gilgamesh due to his eye bullshit of understanding magic when he see's it means he knew how exactly how we were trying to kill him, Saber would simply know that she is about to die via Flan.

I'm actually a much bigger Gilgamesh fan, in the running for my favorite character, and I'm still giving that one to Saber.

Seriously, look at all three routes. Every single time, Gilgamesh gets surprised by an attack or tactic he doesn't see coming. Saber's Avalon, Shirou's UBW or Archer's arrow to the head (for that matter Gilgamesh seemed to miss Archer's presence entirely during that final battle, or that Archer never died in the first place), and Shadow nomming him, along with the Shadow not being down for the count to begin with.

King of Carelessness ain't near as all-knowing as he likes to pretend.

See above about Excalibur.
and yet she didn't use it when almost dying to Assasain.
Or when Gil first attacks her in the fate route,
Or when facing lancer,
The thing is Saber needs a good reason to use Exalibur, and honestly close to death isn't usually enough for her, unlike with altra which spawns exablare blasts all the things (exempt shiro of course).

True Assassin, tricked into charging into prepared ground IIRC, got caught by Shadow, thought she could take a measly Assassin, IIRC.

Lancer, she honestly never needed it in any fight, and her Luck kept her alive in the first anyway.

Gilgamesh, clarify which fight you mean. Don't have access to LP archives right now and technically you could count them meeting over Caster's dead body could count. Saber definitely used it on the bridge though.

He actually is Omniscient, its just that he chooses not to use the ability.

Sha Nagba Imuru (He who Saw the Deep): The Omniscient Omnipotent Star (全知なるや全能の星シャ・ナクパ・イルム, Zenchinaru ya Zen'nō no HoshiSha Nakupa Irumu?) is the mentality of Gilgamesh sublimated into a Noble Phantasm, said to have "spread across all corners of the world as if the brilliance of the stars, seeing through all creation." It is a "continuously-active-type Noble Phantasm" that does not require its name to be invoked, but it assumed that Gilgamesh keeps it intentionally restrained. Possessing tremendous efficiency, it can discern heavily concealed truths with a single glance, from that of the opponent's True Name and Noble Phantasms to possibly even seeing through a piece of the truth of the demise of human history in the Grand Orders of Fate/Grand Order.[1]
Gilgamesh is a clairvoyance user with a "sense of 'sight' several levels above the ordinary."[2][3] When facing him in a game like chess, he claims that even someone making advanced predictions and reading the flow of the game will have already lost at that moment. He does not read the future of the chess board, but instead gazes down upon it and oversees, allowing the correct move to always be visible to him. Even in something like a card game, the very minimum requirement to play against him on equal terms would be to draw the precise hand required.[2] He can also see the possibilities of various parallel worlds should he so choose, but, as a Heroic Spirit, the Throne of Heroes normally adjusts his memories and knowledge to the world in which he is summoned to keep him from being confused by multiple sets of memories. Even with this ability, his personality would cause him to reject certain world lines as nonsense, such as using clairvoyance to see something like a possibility of a world where he is swallowed by the mud of the grail.[3]

I'll admit that's my first time seeing that particular description instead of it just being fluffed in his recounting of his origins, but also keep in mind that all the Heroic Spirits (except Saber) in this Grail War are imperfect entities, like degraded copies of what they are on the Throne. Since that bit didn't get revealed until later, I'd bank on this Gilgamesh not having that particular skill. Though he is dead now, so sorta a moot point.

Now, to look into those fights....

Mana reasons.
Using Excalibur costs so much she's going to die anyways

That too, though it is true she makes an active effort to avoid innocent casualties, she also wants the Grail.

She will do things she'd normally not contemplate in the name of victory; see stabbing Lancelot in Zero, and killing Shirou if you get the bare minimum Saber points near the end of Fate when Kotomine ambushes Shirou in the church's basement.

Hmm, she might try to stop Flan by smacking her with Hammer of the Wind King, that derivative move of Invisible Air from Fate/Zero. Might even use it to slow down Flan and reposition her to minimize the damage caused by Excalibur.

Overall point is, Instinct A is true bullshit and if there is a way for Saber to stop Flan, and Saber is not in some way deterred from following her Instincts, there's a significant chance she might barely hurt Flan or killed her.

Let's be happy we don't need to deal with that particular Plot Armor anymore.

On the other hand, when Caster attacked Shirou's home with her Dragon Warriors, Excalibur was one of her first options simply due to the number of enemies (less than a hundred going by the Dead End). And a big difference between that fight and her fights with Lancer and Assassin (True or False) is that against Caster, Saber's identity has already been revealed - and considering her mana state and Shirou's poor ability as a magus, going for every advantage she can and concealing her identity seems like a better move than burning virtually irreplaceable heaps of her mana with Excalibur.

[X] Talk with Ilya about how you're feeling stressed and confined.

You keep watching Ilya for a moment before turning to look at the ruined field in front of the castle. "No. No, I'm not alright. I'm angry and irritated and fed up." Ilya makes a small sound of some kind and you stamp your foot against the stone landing. "I hate it! I hate being confined, being told that I can't do things! I've had enough of it, I've done enough of it. My own volition, Ilya, my choice to stay away and not push, lasted a hundred and fifty years." You turn and pace along the edge of the patio, hands twitching spasmodically. "And now, after only a day of this … chaining by some brat-whelp and her … her …!" You lash out savagely toward Fuyuki and snarl.

"… Because of Arcueid?" Ilya's voice is quiet. You spin around and clap your hands together.

"Yes! Because of her! Because of her, because of them, I'm subjected to this ridiculous farce where I can't do anything!" You stomp on the landing again and Ilya flinches. Your hysteria fades somewhat and you hop off the landing and lean against the stone. "… I mean, it's not the first time I've let other people tell me what to do even when I didn't like it. I let the Bureau's notions of humanity shackle me for … weeks, was it? But that was different; that was a deal, and even before I actually fought against them I had some indications of how strong they were. But so what if Arcueid kills vampires? Every vampire I've cared to fight against, I could kill as easily as I can make a fist. Why should she be any different? … I guess most of it's the situation; I don't like being told what to do, not without a good reason. Remilia was good about that. She would talk to me, explain why she was asking me to do this or that, and she had reasons that made sense. But this nonsense about not fighting even when something is a danger … it's stupid, and it's just a feeble attempt to lock me up, even though the cage will only hold as long as I let it." Your wings cross over your chest and you look up at the sky. You feel - not better, exactly, but … maybe relieved? You try to sort through the burl of your emotions, with little luck.

"… Didn't you say it was only Fuyuki and the temple that were off-limits? So you can still have fun in another city, right?" Ilya breaks the silence, still speaking more softly than normal.

"Misaki's off-limits, too. But I can't really do that - who would protect you from the shadow-thing if I left?" You smile up at her, but she looks down unhappily. Maybe she doesn't like having to rely on someone else to keep her safe. After a few seconds she shakes her head.

"I think you should go have some fun, Flan." You stiffen and watch her intently. "You'll feel better, and you'll be showing these Japanese what it means when you actually do make trouble - make a big enough commotion and maybe they'll call Arcueid off." She gives you a strained smile. "Besides, even if the worst were to happen, Berserker's really fast, so he can just carry me toward you, and we'll outrun the Shadow." You look at her, then at the ground. You really want to go, but if they are attacked you won't know until you get back ….

"Are you sure, Ilya? You're the one who'll be in danger if I go." She drops off the landing where she had been sitting and walks over to you.

"Yes, Flan, I'm sure." She leans forward and hugs you. "I promise, if there's trouble, I'll do what you said and throw her to the Shadow before I start running." You giggle, and when she pulls back you see a real smile on her face. You lift her up and float a little, just enough to set her back on the landing.

"Alright, but you have to promise you won't get hurt!" She curtsies in response and you look at Satsuki. She's wearing her new maid outfit … that won't do for this. "Satsuki, change into something that can get messy. You're going to be coming with me." She gawks for a moment and starts to make some kind of excuse, but you glare at her and she subsides, swallowing nervously and hurrying back inside for something else to wear. You look back out at the forest. "Now, where is the nearest population center …?"

You plunge through the window and cackle gleefully as you tear through the third floor of a hotel. Shrieking guests draw others from their beds, making it even more fun - when someone yanks open a door only to be met with you, the shocked expression is just too much! Once the floor is devoid of humans, you take out Laevateinn and aim straight up, unleashing a fifty-meter torrent of flames that carves through the building - and then you sweep it in an arc. As the hotel starts to collapse and people in the neighboring buildings shriek at the devastation wrought by your flaming blade, you put your gift away and dart back into the street. Satsuki watches your antics with a taut expression, her fingers clutching her shoulders. You flit over to her and sigh.

"Satsuki, there's all this fresh blood and you haven't had a drop. That's not the proper way to behave, and I can tell that you know that." She shudders at your admonition but shakes her head.

"No, I … I can't kill them. They haven't done anything wrong!" You roll your eyes and look around for a good victim. You spot one staring at the burning hotel from the sidewalk.

"Okay, Satsuki, let's do it this way." She looks up, but you're already moving away. The young man, not Japanese, blinks in surprise as you swoop in and grab his wrist - and cries in pain as you yank his arm out of its socket and drag him back to your servant. You toss him to the ground in front of her before messily disemboweling him. He's in too much shock to scream, but he whimpers piteously as you grin at Satsuki. "Now, this poor kid is going to die. You can let him die on his own - let him die in pain and agony after a long time … or you can kill him quickly, end his misery with a single good hit. It's your decision, though." She stares at you and tries to shake her head, and you run your fingers along her cheek, across her mouth and under her nose - the same hand that you just used to tear open the young man's stomach, still covered in blood. Her eyes widen as she realizes what you've just done and her pupils expand. You giggle again and sit back on the ledge above a nearby window to wait for her to get on with it. That was a bit rude of you, but sometimes people need a little push to get where they need to be ….

Satsuki quivers and pants, and you look back at the trail of destruction you made. You're sure people saw you, but whether they could recognize you, or if any cameras found you … that's a good question. Ilya did say something about the Church and a Mage's Association not liking open magical warfare, after all. The Church is nothing to fear, but a collection of magicians … depending on how much effort they put into it, they might be worth fighting. Or they could be a significant danger. Oh, well. The sound of sirens draws your attention - sirens that are getting quite close to you. They've been going off everywhere for the half-hour or so that you've been marauding, but since you're waiting on Satsuki it looks like they're finally catching up. You scowl at your servant - she still hasn't gone and killed the human, and he's starting to try to crawl away. You sigh and shrug - you'll have more chances to teach Satsuki - but before you pounce on the man and kill him, a small car, the source of the wailing, skids around a corner and drives toward you. You watch bemusedly as it careens into a large parked car, damaging the sides of both vehicles, before spinning out of control and sliding to a stop near you. After a few seconds, one human gets out and stares at you before clasping his hands. Several small paper dolls float away from him and move to surround you and Satsuki, and then two more people get out of the car. You wave and giggle, and one of the newcomers takes out a pistol and shoots Satsuki. Perhaps he intended to put her out of her misery, not knowing that she can't be killed by something so crude, or maybe he just wanted to scare her off, or maybe he's just a bad shot, but the bullet glides along the top of her left shoulder. She flinches before howling in fury and leaping at the trio. She slams the mage into the car and clumsily smashes at the one who shot her, caving in his chest. The third tries to run, but she slams into him and begins drinking from the front of his throat. You sigh contentedly - now that she's taken the first step, the next ones should be easier! But you shouldn't waste food, so you hop back down to the dying man and tear open his throat to get at his own lifeblood.

You drop the corpse when you finish and look at Satsuki. She's busy with the mage, drinking his blood thirstily, and you look up at the smoke-shrouded sky. You do feel better, even if you did a lot more destruction than killing, so maybe you should head back to make sure Ilya's alright. But you could do so much more here, too ….
