Sometimes I wonder about myself :/
"Pamela, are you sure this is a good idea?" Anna Lemouri looked up from sharpening her sword to watch the ghosts. Pamela occupied herself with brushing and braiding the younger specter's hair as she sat in her lap, while Alma played with Pamela's bear. The bridge crew did their best to ignore them, instead desperately focusing their attention on their scanners and other instrumentation.

"Well, he's going to help people, right? Or at least make things work out so that more good guys are going to survive. So what's the problem?" Anna sighed.

"No, I mean …." The doors to the bridge opened and two figures walked toward the bridge windows - one small, winged, and dressed in red, the other tall and menacing in his black armor.

"It's okay, Anna! Jimmy here said he's very sorry, and he won't kill any more children unless it's absolutely necessary. Besides, you can't very well expect to get Vayne back from a space-faring civilization the location of which you don't know without a galactic empire of your own to help out! And they don't need the Executioner back home, so we're going to borrow it for a bit." Anna frowned as Pamela smiled up at Flandre.

"And they're going to get alone splendidly without you around to throw people down gaping holes in the floor, right?" Alma giggled as Flan scowled fiercely.

"I thought he could fly! I mean, come on - ancient sorcerer who can shoot lightning from his hands, why wouldn't he be able to fly? That's basic stuff right there!" The heavily-breathing figure paused and looked down at the vampire.

"My name is not 'Jimmy.'" She shrugged.

"It's easier than saying 'James Earl Jones on life support' every time I want to refer to you." There was a long moment of silence on the bridge of the warship until an officer approached the group.

"Lord Vader, we've received word from the Chimera - they're holding position over the Neimoidian homeworld and … negotiating the end of the Naboo blockade." The armored Sith lord nodded and looked down at the planet they were orbiting.

"Then … I am ready to go to the planet." The officer looked worried, but didn't say anything as the younger ghost looked up - and then Darth Vader vanished. Flandre walked up to the windows and looked down at the planet, as though she could see what was happening on the surface from their great height.

Qui-Gon Jinn fought to keep his footing on the sand as he retreated against his attacker's onslaught. Old age was as much his enemy as the terrain or the lightsaber-wielding adept before him - Sith, no doubt. He knew he had to hold out long enough for Anakin to reach the queen's ship - and then the Force screamed behind him, as if in pain. His attacker seemed even more dazed than he was, and he managed to disengage, leaping back, then looked at what had caught his opponent's attention. His first concern was for Anakin, but the boy seemed unharmed, only startled as he fell back away from the menacing figure. The newcomer, however … how had he come here? Tall, menacing, dressed all in black armor - there was no way they could have missed him - especially not radiating malice and power in the Force as he was! And yet he ignored Anakin as he stalked forward, and a red lightsaber snapped to life in his hand.

He brought his own weapon back up to a guard position, but the new warrior seemed unconcerned with him, focusing instead on the Sith who had attacked Qui-Gon and Anakin. As he rushed toward the fallen boy, the Sith seemed to recognize the shift in power and attempted to flee to his speeder, only for the machine to be crushed beneath a powerful impact.

"You can stand and fight, and die quickly … or you can try to run, and die slowly." The tattooed warrior spun and threw off his encumbering cloak, then sprinted at the armored warrior, revealing the reason for the long handle of his lightsaber as a second energy blade sprang into existence from the base. Yet the surprise and the warrior's enthusiastic attacks had little effect on the newcomer, the armor of his suit deflecting the few strikes he was unable to parry or counter with a hard-hitting attack of his own. Qui-Gon slid to a halt next to Anakin and quickly made sure the boy was alright, but even so busied, he could tell that the newcomer was by far the superior fighter - and even as he felt Obi-Wan rush toward them, and heard his lightsaber burst to life, the tattooed warrior lost an arm as the hilt of his lightsaber was split by an attack, an attack that continued in a sweeping arc to carve through his legs and back around to cut through part of his neck and chest. The armored warrior's lightsaber shut off and he turned to face the Jedi and their young charge.

"Put it away, Obi-Wan. He isn't here to fight us." Qui-Gon hauled himself to his feet as his Padawn reluctantly lowered and turned off his weapon. "Thank you for the rescue, I think. I am -"

"Qui-Gon Jinn. You will teach the boy." Qui-Gon frowned at the interruption, and for a moment the only sound was the warrior's forced breathing. Then he nodded.

"Yes. And, yes, if the Council will allow it." A derisive laugh seemed to be the response.

"They will not. Teach him anyway." Before the warrior could continue, the Force seemed to scream in pain once more, and they all looked up at the sound of applause. Qui-Gon blinked - was he really looking at a young girl with crystal-studded arms coming out of her back?

"Good, good. Well done, Jimmy." She clapped around the parasol that shielded her from the sun and floated down to the fallen warrior. She leaned over and ran one hand into the ruin of the man's chest, brought it to her mouth smeared in blood, and licked it. Obi-Wan nearly brought his lightsaber back up - but the girl grimaced distastefully and spat to clear her mouth before wiping her hand on the fallen warrior's robes. "Blech. Yucky."

"And you are …?" Qui-Gon let the question hang in the air. The girl gave him a look before turning to the armored warrior.

"I'll be in my room on the Ragnarok. Make sure Alma knows that it's story time, and ask Anna if she wants to come as well - she's young enough that she might appreciate it. There will be several books ready, but you have to start and end with Hamster Huey and the Gooey Kablooie. Got it?" The warrior hesitated for a moment, seeming to struggle to control himself, then bowed his head.

"Yes … my Master." The Force screamed again and the warrior vanished.

"Anyway. As far as you guys are concerned, I'm Tilotny -"

"But Tilotny's a myth!" Qui-Gon winced at his Padawn's interruption, and the girl's eyes sparkled angrily.

"She's not a myth, she's a great big stupid idiot is what she is! Fairies may fight unarmed in the battle of wits, but she's not even capable of waging that battle! But … that's irrelevant. As far as you are concerned, that's who I am." She frowned at her hand, then shook it, as if trying to shake more of the Sith's blood off it. "Anyway, take care of the boy. He's got good enough taste in queens, but his taste in power-hungry Naboo senators-cum-Supreme Chancellors-cum-Emperors is pretty lacking." She giggled at the expressions on their faces, then waved good-bye - and the Force screamed one last time.

"… Master, what are we going to do?" Qui-Gon Jin sighed.

"Go back to Coruscant, get this blockade dealt with." He gently picked up the sleeping boy. "And figure out what we're going to do next."

Sometimes I wonder about myself :/

If you really want to go insane, no punt intended, let Flandre steal Spaceball 1, the fastest ship in the multiverse, the only vehicle that can reache and endure the ludicrous speed naturally. (Build because the Spaceballs are insanely stupid, and I mean stupider than Fairies, and never let something like common sense or physical laws come in the way of Law of Lol, so they build what they build just because they could and no one told them that what they build was impossible). Spaceball One has all things little vampire wants - circus, zoo, skate park, and amazing crew with Colonel Chicken as captain. Although the writ "We stop for nobody" should go, it takes special type of Asshole to put something like that on your vehicle.

I would really want to see what her personal pilot and driver could do with such ship.

Telling Patchouli
[X] Go back to the basement.
- [X] Go ahead to make sure Patchouli knows she's getting a visitor.

"Of course, Deis. I'll see you later~" You curtsy, then turn invisible and circle around them. You pat Ershin on the head, then circle around again, giggling, and dash ahead of them to the library. Just because she's made it seem like Patchouli is expecting her doesn't mean that's the case, and even if she is, you should make sure she knows she's getting a visitor. Once you dip into the basement and are shielded from sight, you drop the invisibility - it's no longer needed, after all. Now, if you were Patchouli, where would you be …? Well, if you were Patchouli, you'd be helping Ilya, but somehow that doesn't seem too likely. You shrug and begin a circuit of the library, searching for the magician or her familiar. It only takes a few minutes of disruptive flight before something tugs you upward. "Yeah, yeah, I was going up anyway." You mutter grumpily to yourself as you fly with the force pulling you along. Of course, now you're getting to Patchouli, so it's not like it's a bad thing.

The magician is sitting at a desk with stacks of books on the floor beside her chair. Floating in the air in front of her, however, are dozens of weapons - axes, swords, bows, hammers, spears, and all of various kinds and categories. "Hmm … Townsaver could be useful, and the Sword of Mercy definitely. And I wish I could see whether the Mindsword or Soulcutter would work on him … Doomgiver would be interesting as well. Haa~ Oh, well. It would take too long to find them, even if she wanted to help." You blink as she mutters to herself, then fly in front of her to examine the weapons she has. Some are so small that you are too large to use them, others so big that giants would struggle to wield them with both hands. You recognize some of them - a gleaming red spear, and a brightly-shining sword, and another sword that you know you destroyed … - and others you don't. A pair of bright daggers with jagged blades shaped like branches or antlers; a huge club that looks like a flattened bone; an odd, oil-sheened black sword with a double crossguard; and more and more, some normal and others exotic, weapons made of metal and stone and wood, all floating in the air above the library shelves, held captive within transparent bubbles of magic. Patchouli coughs and you turn back to her.

"I'm pretty sure that's not the way to outfit an army," you say, and she sighs.

"They're not for an army. What do you want, Flandre? I am actually busy." You grin and sit down on the desk.

"You have a visitor coming." She rubs her eyes and shakes her head.

"No, I don't. Even if I did, I'm busy." She takes up another book.

"I think she's willing to wait for you to be not busy. Even though she's a mind-reader, she still came to visit you even after Remilia put a filter on her to distort the thoughts she was reading - and she was willing to go through the main entrance, too." Patchouli freezes, the book half-open in the hands, then closes it and sets it on the desk.

"Satori is coming?" You nod and Patchouli spins away from you, floating off the chair and toward the entrance.

"Probably in the library by now; she was with Deis and Ershin, but I left them in the hallway, so it's not like they could get lost." Patchouli turns and stares at you for a moment, then shakes her head before rubbing her face.

"Oh, Remilia, why are you making things difficult?"

"She's not having a good day, I think - Yukari was here, and she had to throw Sanae out, too." Patchouli slowly looks at you, looking worn out, and sighs again.

"I told her to make sure - argh! … Thank you, Flandre, for telling me. Satori told me she didn't think she'd be able to come today, or I would've been upstairs to meet her. There's a - project that we're working on. And it is more important than this." The bubbles containing the weapons fold in on themselves and seem to fall into an open book on the desk. Patchouli's appearance refines itself, from her usual tired-looking, dressing-gown-wearing, mostly disheveled self, until she looks alert and sharp-eyed, wearing a proper dress and capelet. You glower and cross your arms grumpily; even if it's just magic changing how she looks, it's annoying that she won't put even that little effort forward when dealing with Ilya.

"Dressing up? You're going to make her feel shabby, you know." She waves absently at you and conjures an image of Ershin and the youkai. As you guessed, they're in the library, although not very far. Koakuma appears next to you, holding a tray with several kinds of drinks. She shrugs almost imperceptibly when you raise an eyebrow at it. It seems she isn't privy to all of Patchouli's dealings … and you aren't being thrown out. Of course, that probably means Patchouli wants to use you for something.

Patchouli's Experiment
[X] Stay and see what happens.

"You're staying here? Good." You swing your feet idly as Patchouli finishes her preparations. Koakuma sets the tray on the desk as a divan appears nearby. Another few moments pass as Patchouli freshens the area, then the image that she conjured of them becomes more solid. "Yes, Satori, I'm here." Patchouli beckons her guest onward, and Ershin follows the youkai through whatever gate the magician conjured. Deis appears next to you and looks around, eyebrow raised, as Patchouli fusses over the youkai and gets her to lie down. You shrug and shake your head. "Argh, Remilia, what did you do?"

"Some kind of curse -" Patchouli waves away the youkai's attempted explanation. At some point she acquired a prim pair of glasses; she almost looks academic.

"No, I can see what it is, it's just that she made an absolute mess of it. Several times, it seems." You frown at the exasperation in her voice.

"I told you, she's been having a bad day. And she seemed really tired after she did whatever she did to the shrine maiden to make her leave." Patchouli freezes and looks sharply at you.

"Wait, she threw her out …?" Her eyes widen in surprise, then her face sags unhappily and she shakes her head. "Oh, Remilia, Remi …." She rubs her forehead with a couple fingers, then takes a deep breath. "Well, I can deal with this right now, at least." You shift uncomfortably and glower at the magician and the youkai.

"So she's going to be able to read my mind?" Patchouli's head twitches to the side.

"No, no, you're safe enough from that in the library. But I am going to take apart Remilia's spells, so don't bother me." You scowl as her fingers gesticulate wildly around the youkai's third eye and she mutters incomprehensibly. Deis leans closer to you.

"What did I miss?" You frown at her and she shrugs. "I saw you talk to the girls on the balcony, and then head down to the doll girl, then decided to come up on my own. I guess I missed the excitement." Your frown deepens as you try to work out how you missed her, but then you shake your head; it's not important.

"Um, well, the other shrine maiden, the blue-white one, she started throwing out wild claims and said something about Ilya not being a real person, just some normal person from the outside world that was made to believe she was a character. Ilya didn't like that much, and I sent my clones to get my sister to keep things under control. She got good and angry at the shrine maiden and kicked her out." Deis merely nods, apparently unconcerned by the accusation. You give her a look, but she seems absorbed in her own thoughts.

"Ilya's fine now, right?" You nod.

"She calmed down after my sister got there, and now she's asleep in the little lab area." You look back at Patchouli; the youkai seems much more at ease now, and looks healthier. Patchouli is still bent over her, however, so she's probably still removing whatever Remilia did. She'd better have been telling the truth about the youkai not being able to read your mind, though. And why did she want you here, anyway? She quickly finishes whatever she was working on, though, and stands up to step away from the youkai.

"… Thank you, Patchouli." She starts to get up, but Patchouli steps forward again.

"Wait, Satori. There's no need for you to move; I'll just be a moment getting a few things, then we can get to work." Patchouli vanishes mid-turn as she swings away from the youkai, and the girl's three eyes all peer at you for a moment before fixing on Koakuma.

"Ah, may I have a drink?" The familiar smiles and nods before picking up the tray and carrying it over to her.

"So what's this 'project' that you and Patchouli are working on?" The youkai nods appreciatively to Koakuma and sips from a bright blue drink before meeting your eyes again.

"Patchouli thinks she can create a field that interacts with my mind-reading abilities, allowing others to tell if I'm trying to read them and letting them block me if they want to." Patchouli winks into existence and sets several pieces of jewelry in the air beside her. "Do you think this will work?" The magician opens her mouth, then reconsiders what she was going to say and merely shrugs.

"I've only been working on this for a year, and mental influences are not my strong point. I believe that there will be something noticeable - something to at least let me know if I'm on the right path. If you would put these on, please?" The youkai gingerly takes up the ornaments - a silver barrette, an obsidian ring with featuring a gleaming ruby, a pale grey wooden brooch set with emeralds, a deep blue bracelet with a deep black stone over the vein, and a gold necklace bearing a yellow diamond. You frown and cross your arms, but Deis tilts her head and leans forward, apparently interested in something. For her part, the youkai seems nervous and embarrassed to be wearing the gifts. Patchouli nods in satisfaction. "Good. Now, let me get everything ready …." Realization dawns on you as Patchouli begins muttering quickly, and Headless slinks back up into your mind, ready to toss out the meddlesome youkai if Patchouli's trick doesn't work. Not ruthlessly, of course, but if she isn't going to at least warn you of her intentions, you aren't really going to be nice to her friends. Besides, she could use some of the fairy maids if she just wanted a test subject! After a few minutes, Patchouli nods and steps back, waving the youkai to her feet as well. "Alright, Flandre, when I give you the signal, I want you to follow us." She barely waits for you to nod before taking a step back - and apparently appearing on a balcony in the back of the mansion. The youkai gives you a worried glance before following the magician.

"Is this really a good idea?" You grin at Deis. "No? Oh, dear." Patchouli waves you forward and you wave back before nodding to Deis. Koakuma sighs as you float forward; it seems that, like you and Deis, she's realized that Patchouli has made a very basic error. You step out onto the balcony, glad that you're still in the shade - and something seems to tingle in your head as Headless surges. The youkai's eyes widen and she steps back before something hurls you back into the library. Almost giggling, you sit up and watch as Patchouli fusses over the youkai.

"I'll go make sure she realizes what she did wrong." Koakuma sighs and glides forward; you watch as Patchouli glares angrily, then stares blankly before slapping her face with a free hand. Deis frowns.

"It'll be fine. She sometimes forgets things like that, especially if she isn't expecting something." You study the drinks that were left behind, but the only one that's at all recognizable smells rather like a banana. Not something really worth risking. You look up at the sound of footsteps - the youkai seems to have recovered, and Patchouli gives you a disapproving look before sighing.

"… I apologize, Flandre. I should have made sure you were willing to participate instead of assuming you would." You nod politely.

"I forgive you, Patchouli - and you're recovered, I hope?" The youkai nods a little stiffly. "You didn't see anything I wouldn't like you to know about, did you?" Patchouli stiffens and glares as the youkai shudders.

"No, I … nothing that I could make sense of, only the … usual feelings of disgust, fear, and hatred. Only … worse than usual." Koakuma helps her to the divan and you nod before looking back at Patchouli.

"Anyway, I did feel something - a sort of tingling in my head - so I think you are getting somewhere. But, uh, maybe you should find someone who isn't as good at keeping people out of her head the next time you want to do an experiment." She sighs and turns back to the youkai.
