So I am in the early stages of running an Play by post D&D game. I am constantly coming up with new NPC ideas to sprinkle throughout this new setting.
So my latest one I want to fine tune. I was inspired by a D&D youtube series which had an NPC who was a 'Crazy cat lady', which gave me an idea for an extension of the concept.
So the idea is that there is a section of the central city of my campaign which will have a large Tabaxi population (I have ideas for plenty of Tabaxi NPCs). One of the dwellings there will be home to the Crazy Cat Ladies: one is what you might expect from the name, a female human with many many cats. The other is a Tabaxi woman who is CRAZY (note that's the bit I need to better define, but probably more along the lines of wacky or an adrenaline junky or something rather than actually insane).
Also they're a married couple. Because why not, its my world.
I've had some additional thoughts on this idea since I first conceived it (especially after a buddy of mine suggested
this for one of my settings deities, leading to the decision that there would be an entire Tabaxi pantheon based on cat memes).
However its led me to a quandary as I have three general ideas for the Crazy Cat Ladies and I'm not sure which ones to use. I might have to add an extra Crazy Cat Lady into the mix, (Its my world, I can have polyamory if I damn well please.)
So the Crazy Cat Lady that is actually a Tabaxi I was thinking should be a barbarian, because of all the classes that one shouts CRAZY to me.
Now my thought for the human one is either a warlock or cleric with a feline patron/deity, because 'they're adorable'.
Although I recently came up with a third possibility that I really like; A druid who wild-shapes into feline beast forms. Because the thought of one cat out of a mob of them suddenly
pulling a Professor McGonagall on someone greatly amuses me.
What do people think is the best way to implement this? And should I condense these three ideas down to two characters or make it a trio?
