Wuyin's Diary, Entry 1
Dear Giant Hand in Sky,
This will be my first entry into my diary! It won't exactly be super super private, but it's a decent way to write down my thoughts on current events in a format that is hopefully a bit easier to write and more entertaining to read! For whom you might ask? Who knows!
Regardless, it seems like this will be a relatively quieter month this time around.
While an exact month for the Inter-Sect Tourney has yet to be decided, it does at least seem to be soon, given how many missions are being issued in regards to it. That being said, I suspect that Practice Tourney's results will mostly come down to whoever happens to have a Perfect Sword and or the Passionate Heart Art. Haven't crunched the numbers on the dice cast by the Giant Hand, but given that even the most dedicated disciple only has a technique at Silver Grade, the odds seem heavily weighted in that direction.
Does make one wonder what the format of the Inter-Sect Tourney will be though. Something tells me that merely having good equipment won't be enough to win, given that other Sects are almost certainly better equipped than us Disciples of Red Dew.
That's part of the reason why I'm opting to continue to train my adorable little murderball rather than take up a mission.
The bonuses are just too good. +2 on every die? That could make a huge difference!
Sadly, it seems the fortune of Twins has somewhat rendered Tien redundant, at least from the perspective of finding a source of Lunar Qi. But I have no regrets in meeting Tien, and the twins certainly deserve the fortune they have found. I just hope they can carry the weight of the expectations that will be placed on them, for they will likely become the strongest disciple among the talented crop. And that carries no small amount of expectation with it.
Regardless, I do find myself in a bit of strange position regarding future plans. For the moment though, I hope to plan out a little adventure. Rumor has it that a source of Solar Qi has been found by Elder Nianzu, so that frees me up to pursue the last element that I have yet to observe. That will come later though. For the moment, I plan to spend time with Tien and hopefully avoid getting mauled by her adorable little claws.
As to the upcoming tourney... I worry. I wonder if any of us disciples are even capable of winning. For all our talents, none of us have the combination of equipment, techniques, and base cultivation needed to stand at the peak of our realm of cultivation. And the other sects will surely have at least one disciple among the Peasant realm who will have all of those factors.
Still, we will just have to see. One way or another, the Giant Hand in Sky will make it's decision, and we will simply have to deal with the consequences.
Sincerely, Me.
(PS, I would like Insights into the Path of the Elements please, Giant Hand!)
